The LT-42WX70 is a whole new genre of TV,

which provides the breathtaking images of full HD

video and faithfully reproduces the colours,

details, texture, nuances and special ambience of

high-definition digital SLR photographs.

The all-new LT-42WX70, the first model in JVC’s innovative

line-up of XIVIEW displays, features a wide colour gamut and

a number of outstanding picture-quality technologies to display

all the exquisite details available with higher-definition sources

such as Blu-ray and Full HD broadcasting.

But here’s what truly distinguishes the LT-42WX70: Its colour

gamut is capable of encompassing 100% of the sRGB colour

space and offers a coverage rate of 96% for Adobe RGB,

making it possible to faithfully reproduce — as an industry first

— the striking colours, subtle nuances and unique ambience

of D-SLR photographs on a 42-inch screen. The monitor also

offers a selection from one of the six preset modes that are

most suitable for the source such as Photo PRO and Theater.

As its thin and lightweight design allows for flexible installation

anywhere, even on a pole in the middle of a room or on the

wall, the LT-42WX70 represents a new wave in audio-visual

entertainment and selecting it will show everyone your true

colours.

Displaying Digital SLR Photographs

Wider Colour Gamut and Adobe RGB Compatibility

The LT-42WX70’s wider colour gamut ensures that every digital

still photograph taken using sRGB or Adobe RGB colour

space will be faithfully reproduced. Depending on the source

signal — video or stills — the user can select a colour mode

from Wide (the LCD’s colour space), Normal (ITU-R BT.709,

HDTV standards), x.v.Colour (xvYCC extended gamut), sRGB

(same primaries as HDTV) and Adobe RGB, with the latter two

designed especially for viewing digital still images.

the LT-42WX70 is capable of encompassing

100% of the sRGB colour space and offers a

coverage rate of 96% for Adobe RGB, enabling

it to reproduce deeper reds and blues as well as

more vibrant greens, which are typical

characteristics of the Adobe RGB colour range.

Individual Gamma Curve Adjustment Prior to Shipping

It is unnecessary to match the gamma curve for conventional

LCD monitors; nonetheless, in order to ensure accurate

gradations regardless of the manufactured lot, as well as

consistent and faithful colour reproduction when displaying

photographs, JVC’s Individual Gamma Curve Adjustment

calibrates each panel’s greyscale tones to gamma 2.2 before a

unit is shipped.

The LT-42WX70 comes with an array of terminals for viewing

both video and still images including an HDMI terminal.

Connecting the monitor directly to a D-SLR camera via the

reproduction while enhancing detail and hues to create more

natural images that are as true as the eye can perceive.

Eco Mode

Screen brightness is automatically adjusted according to

ambient light levels in the room, which helps to alleviate eye

fatigue and reduce power consumption to save energy.

New DynaPix HD Picture Engine

The new DynaPix HD Picture Engine guarantees the accurate

reproduction of natural colours and clear pictures.

•

Real Bit Driver: A 12-bit per colour (x RGB = 36-bit) processor

that up-converts 8-bit* HD broadcast programmes and DVD

signals into 12-bit Deep Colour signals to ensure smoother

gradation regardless of the quality of the original source signal.

• Intelligent Clear NR (3D): Effectively reduces noise without

motion blur by detecting picture noise in each of the 16

frequency areas in real-time. It also adjusts the amount of

noise reduction as required without adversely affecting the

original picture.

• Intelligent Colour Management: This new and original

algorithm increases visual sensitivity naturally for colours in

areas of an object that the viewer focuses on. It analyzes the

colour distribution in each frame of the input signal in real-time

to perform high-level processing for those areas to create

images with vividly realistic colours and textures as well as

more presence.

Anti-blurring Technology

JVC’s 100Hz/120Hz Clear Motion Drive III anti-blurring

technology significantly reduces motion blur in LCD monitor

images with rapid motion by utilising a high-precision

interpolation algorithm to double the amount of frame rate.

A real-time, motion-estimated Hadamard 3D noise reduction

system is also utilised to eliminate noise while maintaining the

realism and sharpness of the original picture for both 50Hz (PAL)

and 60Hz (NTSC) signals.
