E10 or Ethanol blends. Mix with a premium grade air cooled 2-Stroke oil at a ratio
of 40:1
Mix fuel with 2-stroke oil in an approved container. Shake gently and ensure a
thorough mix.
WARNING! Never use raw fuel with out oil in your unit. This will cause
permanent engine damage and void the your warranty for that product.
Never use a fuel mixture that has been stored for over 90 days.
CAUTION: The 2 stroke oil must be premium grade oil for 2-cycle air cooled
engines and must be mixed at a 40:1 ratio with the fuel. Bynorm 2 Stroke
engine oil is recommended. Mixing the fuel at a greater ratio than 40:1
provides insufcient lubrication and will cause engine damage and voids
your warranty.

RUNNING IN THE ENGINE
A factory-new machine should run at moderate speed for the rst 2-3 hours of
work, as different components need to settle with each other during the process of
running in the engine.
The engine can reach its maximum power after this running in period.
After the rst 2-3 hours of works, stop and make sure that all nuts and screws are
securely fastened, and tighten them if necessary.
WARNING! Never direct the line trimmer discharge stream toward people or
animals. Always be aware of the strength and direction of stream.
NOTE: Petrol line trimmers transmit vibrations to the operator during use. These
vibrations can generate increased fatigue. For this reason, we recommend taking
regular breaks during work. We also recommend taking a break after a few hours of
work to rest the engine. If abnormal noise or vibration occurs during operation, turn
the line trimmer off immediately and have the problem corrected.
1. Keep a rm grip on the trimmer with both hands while in operation. The
trimmer should be held at a comfortable position with the rear handle about
hip height.
2. Always operate the trimmer at an appropriate throttle level. Cut tall grass from
the top down to prevent grass from wrapping around the spool which may
cause the trimmer to overheat.
NOTE. If grass becomes wrapped around the spool, stop the engine, disconnect
the spark plug wire, and remove the grass.
NOTE. Prolonged cutting not at full throttle may result in oil dripping from the
mufer.
WARNING! The engine of the petrol line trimmer must be at a complete stop
during assembling, repair and cleaning operations that could be necessary.
FEEDING THE LINE
The line trimmer has a bump feed mechanism which releases the line without
having to stop the engine.
To release additional line, lightly tap the cutting line and spool assembly on the
ground while operating the unit at high speed.
NOTE. Always keep the line fully extended. Line release becomes more difcult
as the cutting line becomes shorter. Each time the head is bumped it releases
OPERATION

approximately 2cm of line. Release the line until it strikes the cut off knife. This may
require several taps.
NOTE. The cut off knife on the guard will automatically cut off any excess line. For
best results tap the head on hard soil or bare ground. Never bump the spool head
on concrete as it may crack the spool housing.
MANUAL LINE FEED.
Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug.
Push the bump knob in while pulling on both lines to manually advance the
line.
Release the bump knob and again pull on both lines to advance the line
further.
If the line still does not advance remove the spool and check the lay of the
line. It may be twisted or trapped inside the spool.
STARTING A FLOODED ENGINE
Disconnect the spark plug lead, and use the spark plug wrench to remove the
plug in a counterclockwise direction.
If the spark plug is fouled or is soaked with fuel, clean or replace the plug as
required.
Clean excess fuel form the combustion chamber by cranking the engine
several times while the spark is removed.
Install the spark plug and rmly tighten it with the spark plug wrench.
Try and start the line trimmer without the use of the choke.
If the engine still won’t start leave it for an hour and then try again.

MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
REPLACING OF THE CUTTING LINE
CAUTION: After changing the line spool, run the petrol line trimmer under
no load for at least a minute to make sure that the line and the tool are
both operating correctly. Use only the line spool as recommended by the
manufacturer.
WARNING: Never use steel threads and/or metal blade. Always use tools in
perfect condition, free of damage.
WARNING: In high-speed rotation, parts could be projected at very high
speed and could involve serious injury and damages to persons and
property.
Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug.
Put the petrol line trimmer on the oor in a way that the cutting line and spool
assembly is facing up.
Open the cutting line and spool assembly by holding the spool housing and
depress the tabs and then rotating the bottom plate anti-clockwise
Remove the spool completely and discard any short lengths of remaining
cutting line.
Take a 4 metre length of ø 2mm line and halve it.
Place the half way mark of the line into the notch in the spool. (Fig .K)
15cm
Wrap the line around the inside of the spool in an anti clockwise direction
(following the directional arrows on the spool). Ensure the line is wrapped
tightly and neatly. (Fig. L)
When there is approximately 150mm of line left, lock one of the lines into one

of the line location notches in the spool head and the other into the opposing
notch.
With the spring tted onto the shaft of the spool holder insert the spool back
into the holder. As you insert the spool, thread the lines through the eyelets
and pull rmly to disengage the line from the notches in the spool. (Fig. M)
15cm
15cm
NOTE
When inserting the spool into the housing, the spool may need to be rotated
slightly so as to locate into the housing. Before the spool is fully inserted into the
housing, ensure the lines are free from the notches on the spool.
Once the spool is fully inserted and the lines are fully through the eyelets, pull
rmly on each line to disengage the lines from the spool notches. Ensure the
lines are fully clear of the spool notches and the line is passing through the
eyelets directly to the spool.
Whilst maintaining pressure against the spring ret the bottom plate to the
spool holder.
Check that the lock tabs are engaged
Check that the bump knob is free to move up and down. If it does not move
then most likely the cutting line is jamming it and will need to be cleared before
using.
Cut both cutting lines so that they protrude from the spool assembly evenly.
NOTE
On start up test the operation of the bump feed to ensure the line feeds correctly.
