About No Frost
Your fridge freezer combines NO Frost Technology with an electronic control system for
accurate temperature control and automatic defrosting. This product is designed to
avoid the formation of ice in the freezer. Accordingly there is no need for manual
defrosting. The product will automatically perform any defrosting once it becomes
necessary.
No Frost Technology
In order to facilitate the removal of the ice layer the evaporator is assisted by electric
heating during the defrosting procedure. The ventilator (circulating fan) is off during
defrost cycle. The defrost water will drip into the tray placed on the compressor and will
evaporate. In the course of the defrosting procedure the evaporator becomes warm but
it has no influence on the internal temperature.
All foods should be kept well packed in order to prevent any moisture loss as a result of
air circulation.
Warning:- Internal circulating fans
Your appliance is fitted with circulating fans which are essential for the performance of your
appliance.
Please ensure that the internal circulating fans are not blocked or impaired by food or packaging.
Do not overfill the freezer compartment, taking special care not to impair or block the circulating
fan at the top of the compartment.
Blocking or impairing the circulating fans can result in an increase in the internal temperatures of
the appliance and activation of the high temperature alarm.
Safety first!
Do not connect your appliance to the electricity supply until all packing and transit protectors
have been removed.
• Leave to stand for at least 12 hours before switching on, to allow compressor oil to settle.

lock to ensure that it is left in a safe condition to prevent children becoming trapped inside.
• This appliance must only be used for its intended purpose.
• Do not dispose of the appliance on a fire. Your appliance contains non CFC substances in the
insulation which are flammable. We suggest you contact your local authority for correct
information on disposal and available facilities.
• We do not recommend use of this appliance in an unheated, cold room. (e.g. garage,
conservatory, annex, shed, out-house etc.)
To obtain the best possible performance and trouble free operation from your appliance it is very
important to read these instructions carefully. Failure to observe these instructions may invalidate
your right to free service during the guarantee period.

Operation of the control panel
(Fig 5)
The control panel is used for adjusting and
displaying the temperatures within the appliance
and has the following functions:
1 – Fast freeze button
2 – Freezer temperature display
3 – Orange led – Fast freeze on
4 – Green led – Power on
5 – Red led – Alarm
6 – Refrigerator temperature display
7 – Temperature setting button
Accoustic signalling
When the door of the refrigerator remains open for
more than 1 minute, an intermittent audio alarm is
activated.
If the door of the refrigerator is shut, the audio alarm
stops.
Fan
The fans circulate the cold air in both compartments.
It is connected electrically in parallel with the motor-
compressor. When the motor-compressor is off, the
fan will also be off.
The fan of the refrigerator stops 1 second after the
opening of the door and starts 1 second after its
closing.
In some cases it is possible that the fan in the
freezer compartment starts with a delay
compared to the motor compressor.
Lamp
The lamp comes on after the opening of the
door and remains on until it is closed.
Adjustment of the temperatures in the
refrigerator and in the freezer
The temperatures are adjusted by rotating the
temperature adjustment knob (7) from MIN
towards MAX. On the temperature display the
new value of the fridge temperature (6) will
blink for 5 sec. Then the current value read by
the fridge sensor will be displayed.
The freezer display will show the
corespondent temperature for the freezer.
The inside temperatures of the refrigerator
and of the freezer are correlated as follows:
Refrigerator
adjusted
temperature
Freezer
corresponding
value
+ 8 - 18
+ 7 - 19
+ 6 - 20
+ 5 - 21
+ 4 - 22
+ 3 - 23
+ 2 - 24
The inside temperatures can vary
according to the conditions of use of the
appliance: location, ambient temperature,
frequence of door opening, ammount of
food stored. The temperature adjustment
will need to be modified accrodance with
these conditions.
Generally, for an ambient temperature of
25
0
C, when the appliance is first switched on,
the temperature should be set to an average
position of 4
or 5
.
This position can be subsequently
adjusted towards plus or minus according
to the wish of each user.
During the operation of the appliance,
condensation drops or ice appear on the
inside back wall. You do not need to remove
these drops, because the back wall is
automatically defrosted. The water which
results leaks in the special groove and is
collected in a tray placed near the
compressor, from where it evaporates.
GB/IE
Instruction for use
12
To measure the temperature in a certain area
inside the refrigerator (for instance on the
shelf) you can use a thermometer placed in a
glass full with water. In order to obtain a
temperature which represents exactly the
temperature in that area , the temperature
must be read after a few hours of reduced
use, for instance in the morning when the
door is opened the first time.
Fast freeze function
It is used to freeze food in a short time or to
make ice cubes. When the fast freeze button
is pushed, a short beep is heard, confirming
the function is active, and the orange light
comes on. On the freezer display, the freezing
target value will blink for 5 seconds, (-25
0
C).
During fast freeze, the temperature in the
refrigerator compartment never drops below
0
0
C, avoiding the freezing of food in this
compartment.
To cancel this function press the fast freeze
button again (1) or it will automatically switch
off after 12 hours .
In case of a power failure during fast freeze,
when the appliance restarts, the fast freeze
function is not re-activated and the appliance,
operates in the previously set mode.
Making ice cubes
Fill the ice-cube tray ¾ with water and
place it in its special area. The ice-cubes
can be easily detached if you pass the
tray for a few seconds under a cold water
tap.
Food freezing
Freezing capacity
The freezing capacity is the maximum weight
of food which can be be frozen in 24 hours. It
is specified in the table on page 9 and on the
rating label in the refrigerator compartment,
near the crisper.
The food must be frozen completely and as
quickly as possible as this helps to preserve
the the vitamin content, nutritive value, texture
and taste. For this reason it is advisable not to
exceed the maximum freezing capacity of
your appliance.
The food already frozen should be kept as far
possible from fresh food that is to be frozen.
Before placing fresh food into the freezer –
always allow it to cool first.
Suggestions for food storage
In order to get best results and maintain good
hygiene standards, we suggest the following:
Only keep fresh foods and drinks in the
refrigerator for a short time.
Dairy products must be kept in the special
compartment inside the door.
Cooked food must be kept in well sealed
containers for not longer than 2-3 days.
Packed, fresh food can be kept on the
shelves. Fresh fruits and vegetables can kept
in the crisper.
Bottles can be kept in the special
compartment inside the door.
In order to keep the fresh meat for a few
days in the refrigerator, pack it in polythene
bags. Do not put it in contact with cooked
food. As a precaution, do not keep for more
than 2-3 days.
Keep the food packed or covered. Canned
food should not be kept in the can after it has
been opened.
Leave hot food to cool before placing them
into the refrigerator.
Alcoholic drinks with high percentage must
be stored in vertical position, in well sealed
containers (they can explode).
Do not let food packaging stick on the
cooled wall of the refrigerator (to avoid ice
build-up which cannot be defrosted during
normal operation).
GB/IE
Instruction for use
Advice for a maximum
efficiency
Important!
Do not place too much food into the freezer at
any one time. The quality of food is best
preserved if it is frozen as thoroughly and as
quickly as possible. This is why it is better not
to exceed the freezing capacity of the
appliance as specified in the "Appliance data
sheet". To reduce the freezing time, you can
use the function „fast freeze.
Fresh food must not come into contact with
the food already frozen.
Frozen food, bought from the shop, can be
placed into the freezer without needing to
adjust the thermostat.
If the freezing date is not mentioned on the
packing, please consider a period of storage
of max. 3 months as a general rule.
Any food, even partially defrosted, canno
t be
frozen again, it must be consumed
immediately or cooked and then frozen again.
Effervescent drinks should not be stored in
the freezer.
In case of a power failure do not open the
door of the appliance. The frozen food will not
be affected if the failure lasts less than 18
hours.
Energy saving
Avoid placing the appliance in a sunny area
or near a heat source.
Provide good ventilation for the compressor
and condenser.
Place the food into closed containers or foil
to avoid ice build-up.
Do not leave the doors open longer than
necessary, open them only when required.
Store liquids only in closed containers.
Place foods and liquids into the appliance
only when they are at room temperature .
Keep the condenser clean.
You can save energy if you defrost the food
by placing them first in the refrigerator
compartment.
Repositioning the door
Proceed in numerical order
(Fig 11).
Appliance maintenance and
cleaning
Advice for appliance defrosting
The „NO FROST” defrosting is completely
automatic. You do not need to do anything.
The water from the defrosting is collected in a
tray on the compressor, where it evaporates
because of the temperature generated during
its operation
(Fig 6).
Keep the collector and the water drain tube
clean . For this purpose use the supplied
cleaning tool. Check that the tube is
permanently placed with its end in the
collecting tray on the compressor to prevent
the water spilling on the electric installation or
on the floor
(Fig 7).
Inside cleaning
(Fig 8 & 9)
Before starting the cleaning operation, unplug
the appliance.
It is recommended that you clean the
appliance when you defrost it.
Wash the inside with lukewarm water where
you can add a neutral detergent. Do not use
soap, detergent, petrol or acetone which can
leave a strong odour.
Wipe with a wet sponge and dry with a soft
cloth.
During this operation, avoid excess water to
avoid it from entering into the thermal
insulation o
f the appliance, which would cause
unpleasant odours.
Be careful to avoid water entering into the
enclosure of the inside lamp !
After finishing the cleaning, plug in the
appliance.
Do not forget to clean the door gaskets,
especially the ribs of the bellows, by means of
a clean cloth.

Noises during operation
In order to keep the temperature at the value
you have selected, the compressors of the
appliance starts up periodically.
The noises which can be heard in such
situation are normal.
They are reduced as soon as the appliance
reaches the operation temperature.
The humming noise is made by the
compressor. It can become a little stronger
when the compressor starts.
The bubbling and gurgling noises coming from
the refrigerant circulating in the pipes of the
appliance, are normal operating noises.
The clicking noises can be heard during the
automatic defrosting, when the walls of the
appliance expand or contract and make this
noise.
If the operating noises are too loud, the
reasons are usually minor and can be solved
very easily.
- The appliance is not in horizontal position –
adjust the front feet.
- The appliance is not free-standing – place
the appliance so that it does not lean on the
furniture or on other appliances.
- The drawers, baskets or shelves have
become loose – check the detachable
components and eventually put them back.
- The bottles or containers touch each other –
move the bottles or containers so that there is
a small clearance between them.

current specifications.
The fridge freezer runs on an electricity
supply of 220-240 V 50Hz and must be
earthed. If the plug is removed it should not
be re-used, but thrown away immediately. A
cut off plug can be dangerous if plugged
into a socket.
If the plug supplied becomes damaged it
must be replaced with a new one and the
