Precautions
Use the appropriate power supply
The input power of the camera is 12V DC. Be sure to connect the
appropriate power. Incorrect connection may cause malfunction and/or
damage to the video camera.
Do not attempt to disassemble the camera
To prevent electric shock, do not remove screws or covers. There are
no user serviceable parts inside. Maintenance should be performed by a
suitably qualied person only.
Handle the camera with care
Do not abuse the camera. Avoid striking, shaking etc. The camera could
be damaged by improper handling or storage.
Do not use strong abrasive detergents when cleaning the
camera body
Use a dry cloth to clean the camera. If dirt is difcult to remove use a
mild detergent and wipe gently.
Do not aim the camera at the sun
Do not attempt to aim the camera at the sun or other extremely bright
objects that cause smear to appear whether the camera is operating or
not. This can damage the CCD (Charge Coupled Device)
Do not operate near interference
When installed near equipment like wireless devices that emit strong
electromagnetic elds some irregularities such as noise on monitor
screen may occur.
Hi-Resolution colour sensor image resolution.
High image quality and ultra low light performance.
Plug the Video signal into any DVR, VCR, TV or security monitor.
The high performance digital-processing chip greatly improves the
signal-to-noise ratio and distortion.
Automatic white balance enables the camera to produce correct and
natural colours in any light conditions, indoor or outdoor, by automatically
adjusting the white balance point.
The illumination distance referred to in this manual is indoor night view
distance. The infrared transmission will be affected if there is high humidity
or smoke in the air. In this situation the viewable distance will be shortened
and the night view will be reduced when the objects are lawn, trees or
anything without reecting ability.
This chip features a eld period readout system and an electronic
shutter with variable charge-storage time.

Connecting to a Security DVR System
Step 1
Connect the BNC and power leads from the camera to the matching
connectors on one end of the power and video cable.
IMPORTANT!
When connecting the power and video cable between the camera and the
DVR, the “male” power end connects to the matching power lead on the
camera.
Step 2
For multi-camera packs, connect the power connector on the other end of the
cable to the power splitter.
For single camera packages, connect the power lead into the power adapter
itself, In this case, you can skip to step 4.
Step 3
Plug the power splitter cable into the camera power adapter.DO NOT plug
the adapter into an outlet at this time. Follow diagram to power additional
cameras.
WARNING!
If you have a multi-camera package, the included power adapter
is designed to provide enough voltage to operate multiple
cameras. Connecting a single camera to the adapter can cause
the optical chipset of that camera to burn out and become
useless. Cameras and 4/8 way splitters can be purchased
separately.
Step 4
Connect the BNC connector on the other end of the power and video cable
to a Video In port on the back of the DVR via pre-made BNC to BNC power
cables or TX5912 installation cabling.
Repeat Steps 1 through 4 for all cameras before
continuing.
Step 5
Plug the power adapter into a surge protector*
You should only use the power supply
included with the camera.
A single camera can be connected directly to a monitor or TV using the
included cable and adapter.
Connect the camera to the cable and power supply as described in
Steps1,2 and 5 above before connecting it to your video display.
Depending on your TV or monitor, you may need to use the included BNC-to-
RCA adapter(below) to connect the yellow plug on the camera cable to your
screen
