Preface
Thank you for your purchase of Pengo MP3 digital player.
The functions of the player are introduced in this manual in
detail. Please read it carefully before using.
Caution of Operation
1． Don’t squeeze or cast the player to break the plastic
case.
2． Don’t operate the player in bathroom in high humidity
or near the high temperature environment.
3． Don’t direct press the LCD panel to damage the display
surface.
4． Please do not use the player with earphone while
driving an vehicle or riding a bicycle, It is not only
dangerous, but also against the law. And please keep
your volume down when crossing streets.
5． To prevent static, avoid the extreme dry surroundings.
6． Do not disconnect the player with PC while you
copying file.
7． Manufacturer will not take any responsibility of files
storage damage which cause by abnormal operation.
8． Please do not cleaning the player with chemicals such
as alcohol or thinner.
9． Users are not allowed to repair the player by

him/herself.
10． The MP3 player should be no driver need for windows
XP/2000/ME except windows 98 (a installation disc is
packed in the player box)
11． Set the HOLD switch to the release position before
operation.
12． When you use this player as a USB stick, please always
follow the correct operation method .Any misuse may
cause file lost.
13． Do not drop the player, which probably cause battery
fall off or damage its surface.
14． If you don't intend to use your MP3 player for an
extended period of time, don't forget to remove the
batteries from it to avoid any possibility of damage
caused by battery leakage.

2.Operation instruction．
Power ON/ Power off/play/pause /stop
Power ON：Press the button and the player start
Power off: In the stop / play / pause state, press and hold the
button will Power off the player.
Play: In the stop/pause state, press the button begin
playing
pause：In the play state，press the button to pause
stop: In the play / pause state, press and hold the button
will stop the player.
Speaker ON/ Speake off
Speaker ON：Press the button the speaker start
Speaker off: when the speaker working, Press the button
the speaker off
previous track / skip backwards / go to above
options
previous track: In the stop/pause/play state, press the button
to go to the previous track. If it is the first track, it will go to

the last track.
Skip Backwards: Press and hold the button , time of track
will skip backwards fast.
Go to above options ：In the menu option, press the button
and go to the above menu.
Next track/ skip forward / go to next
Next track: In the stop/pause/play state, press the button the
current track go to the next track. If it is the last track, it go
the first track.
Skip Forward: Press and hold the button, time of track will
skip forward fast.
go to next：In the menu option, press the button to go to the
next menu.
Volume up
Press the button or press and hold the button , then volume
will turn up
Volume down
Press the button or press and hold the button, then volume
will turn down.
A-B Repeat

Repeat: In the play state, press the button Mode and player
the repeat to be the beginning. A is displayed on the screen;
press the button Mode to set it as ending. A-B is displayed on
the screen. The player will repeat between the beginning
point and the ending point.
If you want to cancel the repeat between the two
points, you need only to press the button Mode. At the same
time, the signal A-B will disappear and turn to automatic
play.
REC
Press MODE key to enter the function menu, and select the
record mode use the MODE key to confirm and enter. The
player will begin to record voice through microphone, the
screen will display the file name to be recorded (Vxxx.WAV).
press key to pause, long press MODE to stop recording.

In the" music " main menu，first press " MODE " button to
enter the play mode
◎ FM radio
Select the main menu “FM radio” and press “MODE” button
to enter FM radio .
You can select the saved channels via and button.
In the FM radio state, press “Mode” button it will displays
seven submenus, such as “music, voice, record, save station,
delete station, auto scan and exit” You can press and
button to select the relative submenu and press Mode to enter.
Music: select “Play Music” menu, press “Mode” button and
enter MP3/WMA mode.
Voice: select “voice” menu, press “Mode” button and enter
Voice Mode.
Record: select “record” menu, press “Mode” button and
enter Record Mode. The player will begin to record voice

from FM radio, the screen will display the file name to be
recorded (Fxxx.WAV). press PLAY key to pause recording,
long press MODE to stop recording.
Save station: select “save station” menu, press " MODE "
button to enter save station and prompt：" Save? "，press
“MODE” button again and save it.
Delete station: select “delete station” menu, press “MODE”
button and enter the menu of delete station. prompt:
" Delete?", press “MODE” button and delete the selected
station. If you want to go on deleting, repeat the operation.
Auto scan: Press “MODE” button and select “auto scan”
menu and enter auto scan, player begin auto scan station.
In the FM state, press “ ”button，press or button
can manually search states, when you search one, press
“MODE” button and select “save station” menu and press
“MODE” button to confirm.

◎ voice
Select “voice” main menu, press “MODE” button and enter
voice mode. The window displays the previous saved voice
file. Press or button and select the saved voice file.
Press “ ” you can play voice file.
◎ Setting
select “setting” main menu, press “MODE” button and enter
setting mode. There are Ten modes namely “Equalizer, play
mode, contrast, Display time, Power setting, record setting,
Text scroll speed, language, Load Default, Exit”. In all kinds
of mode you can conduct relative setting.
EQ set: select “EQ set” menu，press “MODE” button and
enter EQ set option. There are seven modes namely “Normal,

Rock, Jazz, classical, pop, Bass, Treble”. Press or
button then you can choose relative mode and press
“MODE” button to confirm.
Play mode: select “play mode” menu, press “MODE” button
and enter play mode, There are five playing mode in the play
mode menu, namely “Normal, Repeat track, Repeat all,
shuffle and shuffle repeat” , press or button then you
can choose relative mode
Contrast: select “contrast” menu, You can press and
button to turn up or turn down setting contrast.
Display Time:
select “Display Time” menu, press “MODE” button enter ,
there are four backlight setting mode in the backlight setting
menu, namely “0 Second、5 Seconds、10 Seconds, Always

ON”. Press or button and select relative settings.
Power set: select “power settings” menu , press MODE
button enter, There are four modes optional in the power set
menu, namely “2 mins, 10 mins ,30 mins and disable ”,
press and button and select relative settings.
Record set: select “record setting” menu, Press “MODE”
button to enter, There are three recording modes in the record
set menu, namely “8000Hz, 16000Hz, 32000Hz , 48000Hz”,
press and button and select relative settings.
Language: select “language” menu , press “MODE” button to
enter,. Press and button and select relative language.

Text scroll speed: Select menu " text scroll speed” and
press " MODE " button, Press the 7 or 8 button to select
Display speed setting which includes the following options:
normal(0), fastest(2), slowest(-2), faster(1), slower(-1). Press
the MODE button to save.
Load default set: Select “Load default set” menu, and press
“MODE” button to enter, press the 7 or 8 button to select
load default set. Press the MODE button to enter, and repress
the 7or 8 button to select “YES” or “NO”. Press M E N U
button to confirm. If you select “YES”, all the setting will
come back to the original set, then the player shut off.
◎ Music library
From MP3 mode or voice standby mode, you can press the
MODE button 2 seconds to enter the main menu, and push
the 7 or 8 button to select music library, and press the
MODE button to enter which includes: Play all, Artist, Album,
Track, Genre, Year, Voice record, Fm record and Exit. Press

MODE button to return to forward menu.
Play all: Under the Music Library mode, press the 7 or 8
button to select play all function. Press the MODE button to
select and then the player begin playing all the songs saved in
it.
Artist: Under the Music Library mode, press the 7 or 8
button to select artist function. All the songs will be sorted
according to the artist. You can select certain artist which you
love, or select the play all then press the MODE button to
confirm. Then the system will play automatically.
Album: Under the Music Library mode, press the 7 or 8
button to select Album function, the files saved in it. You can
select certain file which you love, or select the play all then
press the MODE button to confirm. Then the system will play

automatically.
Track: Under the Music Library mode, press the 7 or 8
button to select track function. All the songs will be sorted
according to the track. You can select certain track which you
love, or select the play all then press the MODE button to
confirm. Then the system will play automatically.
Genre: Under the Music Library mode, press the 7 or 8
button to select genre function. All the songs will be sorted
according to the genre. You can select certain genre which
you love, or select the play all then press the MODE button to
confirm. Then the system will play automatically.
Year: Under the Music Library mode, press the 7 or 8
button to select year function. All the songs will be sorted
according to the published time. You can select certain song
