Verify Engine Oil Level and Add
Fuel
NOTICE Be sure you have attached wheels and support leg prior
to this step.
NOTICE DO NOT use unapproved gasoline such as E15 and
E85. DO NOT mix oil in gasoline or modify engine to run on
alternate fuels.
1. Move generator outdoors to a flat, level surface.
2. The generator engine is shipped from the factory filled with oil.
Before starting the engine, check oil level (
).

3. Replace oil fill cap/dipstick and fully tighten.
4. Clean area around fuel fill cap, remove cap.
5. Slowly add unleaded gasoline (S) to fuel tank (T). Be careful
not to fill above the baffle (U). This allows adequate space for
fuel expansion as shown.

6. Install fuel cap and let any spilled fuel evaporate before
starting engine.
Move Generator to Safe
Operating Location
1. Move generator outside to a flat, level surface, in an area
that will not accumulate deadly exhaust gas. Engine exhaust
contains carbon monoxide, a poisonous gas that could kill you
in minutes. You CANNOT smell it, see it, or taste it. Operate
ONLY outside far away from windows, doors and vents. Install
carbon monoxide alarms. DO NOT run this product inside
homes or garages, even if using fans or opening doors and
windows. Direct exhaust AWAY from windows, doors, and
vents.

2. To reduce the risk of exhaust heat or exhaust gases igniting
nearby combustible material, keep at least 1.5 m (5 ft.)
clearance on all sides of generator, including overhead.
Start Generator
NOTICE Always unplug the battery float charger before starting
the generator.
1. Make sure unit is on a level surface. Disconnect all electrical
loads from the generator.
2. Turn the fuel valve (V) to the ON (I) position.

3. Pull choke control (W) out to close CHOKE ( ).

4. Start generator using Electric or Manual starting.
For electric starting, turn and hold key (X) in start switch
to START (
) position until generator starts. To prolong the
life of starter components, DO NOT hold key in START ( )
position for more than 5 seconds, and pause for at least 30
seconds between starting attempts.

For manual starting, turn key in start switch to RUN/ON (I)
position, grasp recoil handle (Y) and pull slowly until slight
resistance is felt. Then pull rapidly one time only to start
engine.

5. Open the choke (W) gradually as the engine warms up by
pushing in on the choke handle.

6. If engine does not start, refer to operator’s manual for detailed
starting instructions.
Plug in Items to be Powered
1. Let engine stabilize and warm up for a few minutes after
starting.
2. Ensure the main circuit breaker (BB) on the control panel is in
the ON (I) position.

3. Plug in and turn on the desired 120 Volt (Z) and/or 240 Volt
(AA) AC, single phase, 60 Hz electrical loads.

NOTICE When plugging into the 120 Volt (Z) receptacles, plug
items to be powered in sequence as shown.

NOTICE Exceeding generators wattage/amperage capacity can
damage generator and/or electrical devices connected to it. Refer
to Do Not Overload Generator section of Operator’s Manual.
Shut Down Generator
1. Turn OFF and unplug all electrical loads from generator
panel receptacles. NEVER start or stop engine with electrical
devices plugged in and turned on.
2. Let engine run at no-load for several minutes to stabilize
internal temperatures of engine and generator.
3. Turn key (X) in start switch to OFF (0) position.

4. Move fuel valve (V) to OFF (0) position.

You Will Need:
• Utility knife • Socket wrench with 8 mm, 10 mm, 13 mm and 16 mm sockets • 13 mm and 19 mm wrench
• Unleaded fuel (minimum 87 octane) • Carbon monoxide (CO) alarm(s)
Unpack Generator
1. Set the carton on a rigid flat surface.
2. Remove everything from carton except generator.
3. Open carton completely by cutting each corner from top to
bottom.
4. Ensure you have all included items prior to assembly.
5. Leave generator on carton to install wheel kit.
Install Wheel Kit
NOTICE Wheels and support leg must be attached prior to
adding any fuel.
1. Tip generator so that engine end is down.
2. Slide axle stud (A) through mounting bracket with threaded
end facing out.

3. Insert retaining pin (B) through hole on axle stud.

4. Slide a wheel (C) over axle stud.

NOTICE Be sure to install both wheels with raised hub inboard.
5. Attach wheel to axle stud with a washer (D), lock washer (E)
and nut (F). Tighten with a 16 mm socket wrench and 19 mm
wrench.

6. Place hub cap (G) into center of wheel and push until it snaps
into place.

7. Repeat steps 2 through 6 to secure second wheel.
8. Line up holes in support leg (H) with holes in generator frame.

9. Attach support leg using 4 bolts (J) and 4 flange nuts (K).
Tighten with a 10 mm socket wrench and 13 mm wrench.

10. Return generator to normal operating position (resting on
wheels).
Attach Negative Battery Cable
Your unit is equipped with electric start capability but can be
started manually. If you choose not to use the electric start
feature, you do not need to connect the negative battery cable.
The sealed battery on the generator pre–installed except for the
negative (black) battery cable
.
1. Cut off tie wrap securing loose end of negative (black) cable.
2. Using 8 mm or 5/16” wrenches, remove nut (L), lock washer
(M) and flat washer (N) on negative battery terminal (—).

3. Slide negative battery cable (P) over screw (R) on negative
terminal.

4. Reattach washer and nut and tighten.
5. Verify that connections to battery and generator are tight and
secure.

WARNING Generator voltage could cause
electrical shock or burn resulting in death
or serious injury. DO NOT operate under
wet conditions.
WARNING Fuel and its vapors are extremely
flammable and explosive which could
cause burns, fire or explosion resulting
in death or serious injury. Turn generator
engine OFF and let it cool at least 2 minutes before
removing fuel cap. Let spilled fuel evaporate
before starting engine. Always allow space for fuel
expansion.
WARNING Hot exhaust and reflective exhaust
gases could cause burns and fires resulting
in death or serious injury. Keep at least
1.5 m (5 ft.) clearance from any
combustibles or structures, including overhead.
WARNING Damaged or overloaded electrical cords could
overheat, arc, and burn resulting in death or serious injury.
ONLY use cords rated for your loads. Follow all safeties on
electrical cords. Inspect cord sets before each use.

Verificar nível de óleo do motor e
Adicione combustível
AVISO Certifique-se de que prendeu as rodas e a perna de
suporte antes dessa etapa.
AVISO NÃO use tipos de gasolina sem aprovação, como E15 e
E85. Não misture óleo na gasolina ou modifique o motor para que
ele funcione com combustíveis alternativos.
1. Leve o gerador para um local externo, com uma superfície plana e
nivelada.
2. O motor do gerador é enviado de fábrica cheio de óleo. Antes de iniciar
o motor, verifique o nível de óleo (
).

3. Recoloque a tampa/vareta no bocal de enchimento de óleo e aperte
com força.
4. Limpe a área ao redor do bocal de enchimento de combustível e
remova a tampa.
5. Adicione lentamente gasolina sem chumbo (S) ao tanque de
combustível (T). Tome cuidado para não ultrapassar o indicador (U).
Isso permite um espaço adequado para a expansão do combustível,
como mostrado.

6. Instale a tampa de combustível e deixe evaporar o combustível
derramado antes de dar partida no motor.
Mova o gerador para um local de
operação seguro
1. Mova gerador de fora em uma superfície plana e nivelada,
em uma área que não irá acumular gases de escape mortal.
O escapamento do motor contém monóxido de carbono, um
gás venenoso capaz de matar em minutos. Por ser INODORO
e INCOLOR, não é possível notar a sua presença. Opere
SOMENTE ao ar livre, longe de janelas, portas e frestas. Instale
alarmes de monóxido de carbono. NÃO opere este produto
dentro de casas ou garagens, mesmo que use ventiladores ou
abra portas e janelas. Direcione o escapamento para LONGE
de janelas, portas e ventilações.

2. Para reduzir o risco do aquecimento do escape ou de
gases de escape provocando a ignição próximo a materiais
combustíveis, mantenha uma folga mínima de
1,5 m (5 pés)
em todos os lados do gerador, inclusive acima.
Como dar a partida no gerador
AVISO Sempre desconecte o carregador de bateria de carga
constante antes de dar partida no gerador.
1. Certifique-se que unidade está em uma superfície plana.

Para partida manual, vire a chave no interruptor de partida até
a RUN/ON (I) posição, segure a alça de arranque (Y) e puxe
lentamente até sentir uma leve resistência. Em seguida, puxe
rapidamente de uma só vez para dar partida no motor.

5. Abra o afogador (W) gradualmente à medida que o motor
aquecer empurrando a haste do afogador.

6. Se o motor não der a partida, consulte o manual do operador

1. Deixe o motor estabilizar e aquecer por alguns minutos após

Como desembalar o gerador
1. Apoie a caixa em uma superfície rígida e plana.
2. Remova tudo de dentro da caixa, exceto o gerador.
3. Corte cada canto da caixa de cima para baixo para abri-la

presentes antes de montar.

Instalar o kit das rodas
AVISO As rodas e a perna de suporte devem ser conectadas

1. Incline o gerador de modo que o lado do motor fique para
baixo.
2. Deslize o prisioneiro do eixo (A) através do suporte de
montagem mantendo a extremidade com rosca virada para
fora.

3. Insira o pino de retenção (B) através do orifício no prisioneiro
do eixo.

4. Deslize uma roda (C) sobre o prisioneiro do eixo.

AVISO Certifique-se de instalar as duas rodas com o cubo
levantado para dentro.
5. Acople a roda ao prisioneiro do eixo com uma arruela (D),
arruela de pressão (E) e porca (F). Aperte com uma chave de
soquete de 16 mm e uma chave de 19 mm.

6. Coloque a calota (G) no centro da roda e empurre até que ela
se encaixe com um clique em seu lugar.

7. Repita os passos 2 a 6 para colocar a segunda roda.
8. Alinhe os orifícios na perna de suporte (H) com os orifícios na
carcaça do gerador.

9. Acople a perna de suporte utilizando 4 parafusos (J) e 4
porcas de flange (K). Aperte com uma chave de soquete de
10 mm e uma chave de 13 mm.

10. Retorne o gerador à sua posição normal de operação
(apoiado nas rodas).
Conecte o cabo negativo da
bateria
A unidade é equipada com partida elétrica, mas pode ser
acionada com partida manual. Se preferir não usar o recurso de
partida elétrica, não será necessário conectar o cabo negativo
da bateria.
A bateria selada vem pré-instalada no gerador,
exceto pelo cabo negativo (preto) da bateria
.
1. Corte a braçadeira que prende a extremidade solta do cabo
negativo (preto).
2. Utilizando uma chave de fenda de 8 mm ou 5/16 pol., remova
a porca (L), a arruela de pressão (M) e a arruela plana (N) no
terminal negativo da bateria (-).

3. Deslize o cabo negativo da bateria (P) sobre o parafuso (R)
no terminal negativo.

4. Recoloque a arruela e a porca e aperte.
5. Certifique-se de que todas as conexões na bateria e no
gerador estão apertadas e firmes.
