USING YOUR JUICER
BEFORE FIRST USE

a risk of swallowing and suocation!
Clean the appliance as described under Cleaning and Care
USING THE JUICER
Assembly
Refer to Figure 1 as you assemble the juicer.
Place the motor unit (6) onto a at and even surface. Press the motor rmly to the
surface so the suction cups on the base get a good grip.
Place the pulp holder (3) on the rear of the juicer. Tip: Place a plastic bag into the
pulp holder for easy cleanup!
Place the centrifuge base (10) on the motor unit (6), aligning the discharge above
the pulp holder.
Warning! The centrifuge has a sharp blade - take care when assembling to avoid
cutting yourself.
Insert the centrifuge with ribs (9) in the centrifuge base so that the inner notched
wheel engages with the outer notched wheel. Press down rmly on the centrifuge
and slide it downwards into the motor unit. Make sure the centrifuge rotates evenly.
Position the lid (8) and ll nozzle (2) over the centrifuge.
Pull the clamp (11) over the lid. Snap it into place using the slots on both sides of
the motor unit.
Place an appropriate juice container (a cup or drinking glass, for instance) under
the juice outow pipe (7).
Preparing the Fruits and Vegetables
Wash the fruit and/or vegetables before extracting juice.
Peels and seeds do not have to be removed before extracting juice. Do remove
thick peels, such as those of lemons and oranges. Remove the large pips and pits
from fruits that have them to avoid damaging the juicer.
Cut vegetables and fruits that are too large into smaller pieces. Conical vegetables
and fruits such as carrots should be inserted tip rst.
EXTRACTING JUICE
Do not use the juicer for longer than 3 minutes uninterrupted. Aer 3 minutes of un-
interrupted operation, let the juicer cool down for at least 20 minutes before using it
again!
Do not allow the pulp container or the juice container to overll.

CLEANING AND CARE
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Remove the plug from the outlet and allow the appliance to suiciently cool down
before every cleaning.
The juicer must be disassembled for cleaning. Proceed in the reverse order from
that described under Assembly.
The removable parts can be cleaned under warm water and with dish detergent.
Caution! Do not touch the centrifuge blade with bare hands!
All removable parts can also be cleaned in a dishwasher.
Dry all parts thoroughly before using them again.
Clean the motor unit aer use with a dry or lightly dampened cloth and some de-
tergent.
Water must not enter the motor unit.
GENERAL TIPS
Use fresh fruit and vegetables, as these contain more juice. Pineapple, celery, ap-
ples, cucumbers, carrots, spinach, melons, tomatoes and citrus fruits are best suit-
ed for juice extraction.
Peels and skin generally do not have to be removed. Do remove thick peels (orang-
es, pineapples, beets, et cetera) to avoid damaging the appliance. Also be certain to
remove the so skin of citrus fruits, as these create a sour taste.
Apples produce dierent kinds of juice, which vary in consistency and taste. Experi-
ment with dierent types of apples to discover your favorite.
Apple juice will quickly turn brown in fresh air. Serve the apple juice immediately
aer juice extraction or add a little lemon juice to it.
Fruit which has some thickness (papayas, bananas, mangoes, et cetera) are not
suited for juice extraction, as this creates mash. Prepare these fruits in a mixer.
Leafy vegetables (cabbage, spinach, et cetera) can be prepared in the juicer. Form
these into balls before extracting their juice.
Serve juice immediately aer extraction as juice loses its taste and important nutri-
ents when exposed to the air.
To obtain the maximum amount of juice, slowly press the stopper downwards with
slight pressure.
If the fruit has large pits and/or seeds, remove these before juice extraction.
The juicer is not suited for stringy or hard fruits or vegetables (e.g. sugar cane).
