Instructions for 1211-083 No Touch Lighted Exit Button
The 1211-083 is designed for indoor or outdoor use. Mount the button 40 to 48 inches
vertically above the floor and within 5-feet of the door (NFPA 101, Life Safety Code).
This is a “No Touch” button. It senses when an object (hand) is within approximately three
(3) inches of the button front and activates the relay to release the door.
The button can easily be mounted in a standard single-gang electrical box.
The button will illuminate with 12-Volt DC power. Button IS Polarity Sensitive. Be sure the
POSITIVE DC Power lead is connected to the RED wire, and the NEGATIVE DC Power lead
is connected to the BLACK wire.
