Connector Conversion Board (96pin→37pin x 2)

CCB-96 User’s Guide

Thank you for purchasing the CONTEC product.

This product is a connector conversion board that splits a CONTEC interface board with a 96-pin half-

pitch connector into two 37-pin (female) D-SUB connectors.

You can mount the product on a DIN rail using the optional DIN rail mounting adapter.

Note: To connect a board to the accessory, you need the separately priced option cable.

Features

- A 96-pin half-pitch connector can be converted into two general-purpose 37-pin D-SUB connectors

[F (female) type] or used as an extension for a cable with a 96-pin half-pitch connector.

- External power can be supplied.

- Mountable on a 35-mm DIN rail using the DIN rail mounting adapter “DIN-ADP1” (separately

priced).

CAUTION

The option cable is not appended to the interface board and this product. Cable differs according

to board used. Be sure to check the manual or visit the CONTEC’s Web site to buy an appropriate

one.

(1) Connect the interface board and the product using the separately available option cable.

(2) Check the wiring destination of the product and wire the signal conductors from the external device.

You can easily connect the conductors to the terminals using the screws.

Connecting an External Power Supply

When the product is connected to an insulated digital I/O board, the CN6 can supply external power to it

(for all common terminals).

CAUTION

- If the connected digital I/O board has and uses an internal power supply, do not use any external

power supply.

- If the check mate is connected to an uninsulated digital I/O board, do not connect any external

power supply.

Mounting on a DIN Rail

The product can be mounted on a 35-mm DIN rail using the DIN rail mounting adapter “DIN-ADP1”

(separately priced). For details on the mounting procedure, refer to the DIN-ADP1 instruction manual.
