INTENDED USE
Your Black & Decker food processor has been
designed for preparing food and beverage
ingredients as described in this manual.
This product is intended for household use only.

Using your appliance
Do not touch moving parts.
Make sure that the appliance is switched off
before connecting to or disconnecting from
the power supply.
Handle the blades carefully; they are extremely
sharp. When handling the chopping blade,
always hold it by the upper plastic part.
To avoid personal injury, always place the bowl
before you fit the blade holder disc.
Remove the blades before emptying the bowl
of its contents.
Always use the food pusher to push food down
the fill opening; never use your fingers, a fork,
a spoon, a knife or any other utensil.
Never operate the appliance while empty.
Make sure the safety lid is securely locked in
place before operating the appliance.
Do not attempt to bypass or override the cover
interlock mechanism.
Always use the blender with the blender lid in
place.
Always take care when using the appliance.
Never pull the power supply cord to disconnect
the plug from the socket. Keep the power
supply cord away from heat, oil and sharp
edges. Do not allow the power supply cord to
hang over the edge of your work top or table.
Do not place the appliance on or near heat
sources or in a heated oven.
Do not use the appliance near flammable or
explosive materials.
Do not use the appliance outdoors.
Always protect the motor unit from water or
excessive humidity.
Operate the appliance only with dry hands.
If the power supply cord is damaged during
use, disconnect the appliance from the power
supply immediately. Do not touch the power
supply cord before disconnecting from the
power supply.
Disconnect the appliance from the power
supply when not in use, before fitting or
removing parts and before cleaning.
Always place the appliance on a level surface
with adequate free space on all sides.
Safety of others
Do not allow children or any person unfamiliar
with these instructions to use the appliance.
Do not allow children or animals to come near
the work area or to touch the appliance or power
supply cord. Close supervision is necessary
when the appliance is used near children.
After use
Switch the appliance off and remove the plug
from the socket before leaving it unattended
and before changing, cleaning or inspecting
any parts of the appliance.
When not in use, the appliance should be
stored in a dry place. Children should not have
access to stored appliances.
Inspection and repairs
Before use, check the appliance for damaged or
defective parts. Check for breakage of parts and
any other conditions that may affect its operation.
Do not use the appliance if any part is
damaged or defective.
Have any damaged or defective parts repaired
or replaced by an authorised repair agent.
Before use, check the power supply cord for
signs of damage, ageing and wear.
Do not use the appliance if the power supply
cord or mains plug is damaged or defective.
If the power supply cord or mains plug is
damaged or defective it must be repaired by
an authorised repair agent in order to avoid a
hazard. Do not cut the power supply cord and
do not attempt to repair it yourself.
Never attempt to remove or replace any parts
other than those specified in this manual.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Before use, check that the mains voltage
corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.
This appliance is double insulated in
accordance with EN 60335; therefore no
earth wire is required.
To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not
immerse the cord, plug or motor unit in
water or other liquid.

ASSEMBLY
Processor bowl (fig. E)
The processor bowl can be used to whisk, chop or
knead large quantities of food.
Place the bowl onto the shaft. There is no need
to turn it - it will lock in place by itself.
Place the required accessory onto the shaft.
Place the ingredients into the bowl.
Place the main lid onto the bowl and lock it by
turning the lid counter-clockwise.
The food processor will not operate if the lid is not
correctly locked into position.
Citrus juicer (fig. G)
Place the bowl onto the shaft.
Place the juicer filter basket into the bowl and
lock it by turning it counter-clockwise.
Fit the juicing cone over the drive shaft.
Only use the juicer at minimum speed.
Blender attachment (fig. D)
Use the blender attachment for fine blending of
raw ingredients and blending of cooked
ingredients to a very smooth consistency.
Make sure the food processor is unplugged
from the power source and switched off before
placing or removing accessories.
Remove the main lid and the bowl.
Fill the blender with ingredients and place the
blender lid.
Remove the safety lid.
Place the blender into the hole and lock it.
Place the bowl and the main lid and lock the
main lid.
Slicing and shredding blades (fig. C)
Make sure the food processor is unplugged
from the power source and switched off before
placing or removing accessories.
Place the bowl on the drive shaft.
Fit the desired blade into the holder disc.
Place the holder disc into the bowl, on the
drive shaft.
Place the main lid on the bowl and lock it.
Juice extractor (fig. B and F)
Make sure the food processor is unplugged
from the power source and switched off before
placing or removing accessories.
Place the bowl on the drive shaft.
Place the juice extractor into the bowl, over the
drive shaft.
Place the juice extractor lid and lock it.
USE
Do not run the food processor longer than
10 minutes (citrus juicer, juice extractor),
5 minutes (chopping, shredding, slicing and
whisking) or 1 minute (dough kneading).
Wait at least 5 minutes between each run.
Operating the appliance
Fit the desired attachment.
Plug in the food processor to the power source.
To switch the food processor on: rotate the
dial to select the desired speed setting (1- 12).
The speed setting can be varied during processing.
For greater control, press the pulse button for
intermittent bursts of power.
To switch the appliance off: rotate the dial to
the off position.
Please be aware of the cover interlock
safety feature when operating the
appliance. The appliance can not run
unless the main lid and either the safety lid
or the blender are also locked in place.
When one of the lids is not in place and
locked, the food processor will not run.
Food processor
Place the safety lid into the hole and then lock
it by turning the lid counter-clockwise until the
arrow on the lid aligns with the arrow next to
the safety lid hole.
Place the bowl on the drive shaft. Place the
required processing blade or accessory on the
shaft.
Place the main lid on the bowl and then lock it
by turning the lid counter-clockwise until the
arrow on the lid aligns with the arrow next to
the safety lid hole.

After processing, first remove the main lid,
then remove the safety lid.
Blender
Remove the main lid and the bowl.
Fill the blender with ingredients and place the
blender lid.
Remove the safety lid and place the blender
into the hole. Lock the blender by turning it
anti-clockwise until the arrow on the blender
aligns with the arrow next to the safety lid hole.
Place the bowl on the drive shaft, without any
accessories.
Place the main lid on the bowl and then lock it
by turning the lid anti-clockwise until the arrow
on the lid aligns with the arrow next to the
safety lid hole.
After processing, first remove the main lid,
then remove the blender.
Processor bowl
The processor bowl can be used with the following
accessories:
Chopping blade
Dough kneader
Whisking attachment
Chopping
Use the metal chopping blade.
Choose the speed and run time according to
your needs.
For greater control, use the pulse button.
When necessary, add extra food through the
fill opening in the main lid with the pusher.
After using the chopping blade, take it out of
the bowl before removing the processed food.
Store the chopping blade with the protective
cap on.
Dough kneading
Use the dough kneader. Do not use the whisking
attachment for dough kneading.
Place the ingredients in the bowl. The maximum
capacity is 600 g of flour plus 400 g of water
for 1 kg of dough.
Keep the pusher in place when the machine is
running.
Run the appliance at maximum speed.
Run the food processor at 20 second intervals
and wait at least 2 minutes in between.
Whisking
Use the plastic whisking attachment.
Keep the pusher in place when the machine is
running.
Run the appliance at maximum speed.
Citrus juicer
Cut the citrus fruit in half across the middle
(not end to end).
Place one half of a citrus fruit onto the cone.
Only use the juicer at minimum speed.
You can press up to 1 litre of juice before
emptying the bowl.
Blending
Recommended speeds are between 5 and
maximum. For soft vegetables and fruits (such as
bananas), start slow and then gradually increase
the speed. For hard vegetables and fruits (such
as carrots) always use maximum speed.
Do not load the blender with more than 300 g
of hard vegetable per run.
Run the food processor at 30 sec. intervals.
Never fill the blender with boiling liquid.
To prevent spillage, do not run the blender
with more than 1000 ml of soft liquid.
To use the blender as an ice crusher, fill the
blender with 250 g of ice cubes and run the
appliance for 15-20 seconds on maximum speed.
Slicing and shredding
Always use the pusher to press down the
ingredients into the bowl. Never press down
ingredients by hand.
Do not overload the bowl. You can process
1.5 kg of food per run.
Recommended speeds for all the blades are
5 and 6.
Juice extractor
Always use the pusher to press down the
ingredients into the bowl. Never press down
ingredients by hand.
Run the appliance at maximum speed.

If the juice extractor gets clogged with fruit
pulp, turn the machine off. Remove the lid
from the bowl and use the spatula to clean out
the pulp. Do not use your fingers.
If ingredients get lodged in the fill opening,
use the pusher to press it into the bowl. If this
does not solve the problem, turn the machine
off, remove the plug from the socket and
disassemble the juicer to remove the
remaining ingredients.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning and maintenance,
switch the food processor off and remove
the plug from the socket.
Hand wash and dry the accessories (only the
stainless steel blades are dishwasher proof).
To clean the blender: fill the blender with
warm water and some dishwashing liquid.
Place the blender lid and run the blender for
30 seconds. Rinse and repeat if necessary.
If the accessories have become discoloured by
food (carrots, oranges, etc.), rub them gently
with a cloth dipped in cooking oil and then
wash as normal.
Do not place the appliance, the cord or
the plug in or near running water. If cleaning
is necessary, wipe the dirty parts with a
damp cloth.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Check that the appliance is properly plugged in.
Check that the accessories are properly locked
onto the drive shaft.
Check that the safety lid and the main bowl lid
are locked properly.

they have reached the end of their working
