The CardioActive Entertainment Station is an integrated TV station for use on several
SportsArt Fitness products. Please follow instructions below to install this integrated TV
station on the T652 treadmill. Complete this installation before connecting the treadmill
and the TV module to power.
Note that throughout this manual, the words left and right are used in reference to
the product and its part. As such, these designations correspond to the left and right
sides of a person in position to operate this product. Also note that, for brevity, the word
screws is used where screws, washers, and other hardware may be involved.
Note: iPod is a trademark of Apple Inc., registered in the US and other countries.
Made for iPod means that an electronic accessory has been designed to connect
specifically to iPod and has been certified by the developer to meet Apple performance
standards. Apple is not responsible for the operation of this device or its compliance
with safety and regulatory standards.
Please note that SportsArt products use two types of boards for iPod® devices. One
board has audio-only functions. The other board has audio-video functions. Only the
audio-video board is suitable for use with the integrated TV module. Do not use the
audio-only board with the integrated TV module.

To access the motor compartment, remove covers as explained in steps (a) through (d)
below.
(a) Remove power cord screws. Remove the power cord.
(b) Remove covers at the base of the left and right pedestals. Loosen but do not
remove screws at the base of left and right pedestals.
Remove the caps in area (A). Loosen screws in that area. Remove screws in the
upper cover, and remove the upper cover (B). Then remove screws in the front
cover, and remove the front cover (C).
(d) Use wire cutters to cut away area (A) in the front cover.

STEP 1 Remove Covers
Install the adaptor and its cord as explained in steps (a) through (c) below.
a) Use screws (25) to secure the adaptor to the treadmill frame.(
(b) Note the original position of N and L wire connections on the power switch. Gently
compress the sides of the power switch and push the power switch outward, away
from the treadmill body.
Detach one wire between the filter and the power switch. From cable (A5), connect
the appropriate wire into the position of the wire you just removed. Detach the other
wire between the filter and the power switch. From cable (A5), connect the
appropriate wire into the position of the wire you just removed. After the wires are
connected securely, insert the power switch back into place as shown.

(c) Secure the ground wire of cable (A5) and the filter ground wire together as shown.
Insert the plug into the adaptor (A4) as shown.

Cut out the cutaway in the display lower cover as explained in steps (a) through (b)
below.
(a) Remove screws from the lower cover.
(b) Peel off the sticker in the lower cover. Then cut out the cutaway in area (A) of the
display lower cover.

Disconnect the display upper cover as explained in steps (a) through (b).
(a) Disconnect cables on the display board as shown, and detach the display upper
cover.
(b) Cut the zip tie off the bracket for iPod. Disconnect the three cables as shown.

Install integrated TV module cables as explained in steps (a) through (d) below.
(a) First, remove screws in areas (A) and (B) on left and right pedestals.
(b) Slightly lift the handlebar assembly. Insert an L-shaped 5-mm Allen wrench into the
space in the left side of the handlebar assembly. This will prop up the handlebar
assembly, leaving space with which to direct cables on the left side.

(c) Into the hole in the middle of the handlebar assembly, insert the plastic wrapped
end of cable (A3). Feed the cable toward the left side of the handlebar assembly.
When the lower end of cable (A3) nears the hole in the handlebar frame, feed
cable (A3)through the hole in the handlebar frame and into the pedestal.Stop
feeding cable (A3) downward when thelower end reaches the floor of the motor
compartment and the sticker on the cable meets your hand on the upper end.
(d) Finally, pull the lower end of cable (A3) out of the bottom of the pedestal. Feed the
cable (A3) into the motor compartment and secure it with zip ties (23) as shown.
Note: Secure the zip ties to the inner frame to avoid obstructing screw holes.

Install the TV cable terminal plate and cables as shown in steps (a) through (b) below.
(a) Before installing the cable terminal plate (A6), first select the metal terminal bracket
that belongs on this product. Then use screws (26) to secure the terminal plate onto
the metal bracket.
(b) Use an open-end wrench to secure cable (A3b) to the adapter (A4) cable. Connect
cable (a3a) to the integrated TV terminal plate (A6). Then use screws (24) to secure
the TV terminal plate bracket (A6) to the inside of the treadmill frame as shown.
Note: After connecting cable (A3b) to the adapter (A4) cable, push the plastic
sheath on cable (A3b) to completely cover the connection area. Use zip ties (23) to
secure the cable.

Installcovers, the pedestal, and the power cord as shown in steps (a) through (f) below.
a) First, remove the L-shaped Allen wrench from the handlebar assembly, and insert
the handlebar assembly into the pedestal.
(b) Secure screws that were removed previously, starting with area (A), then proceeding
to area (B).
(c) After securing the handlebar assembly, secure motor front cover©.
Then secure the motor upper cover (D).

Secure pedestals and the power cord as shown in steps (d) through (f).
(d) Secure left and right pedestal screws.
(e) Install pedestal base covers on left and right sides.
(f) Finally, secure the power cord into place.

Install the integrated TV module as shown in steps (a) through (f) below.
(a) Carefully
aim the TV module guide tubes through the holes in the display lower cover. At the
same time, feed integrated TV module cables through the hole.
(b) First secure screws (21) in area (A). Then secure screws in area (B). After securing
the TV module cables, carefully cut the zip tie to free the cables.
(a) Make sure that the ring is in place on the integrated TV screen neck.

(c) First, connect cable (L1) from the integrated TV module to cable (A3) from below.
Connect the CATV and DTV coaxial cables from the integrated TV module to the
output connectors on the coaxial cable splitter (A7). Connect the lower coaxial cable
to the input connector on the coaxial cable splitter. Use screws (22) to secure the
coaxial cable splitter (A7) into place. Use screw (22) to connect the ground wire
from the integrated TV module cable (L2) to the coaxial cable splitter (A7) as shown.
Loosen the cable clip screw on the coaxial cable splitter (A7). Collect cables in into
the clip, and secure its screw. (Note: Make sure that cables do not obstruct the
standoffs for display screws.)

(d) Only carry out this step, (d), if the option kit for iPod is installed on this product. If
not, skip this step.Insert the integrated TV module cables (L2)into connectors on the
board foriPod.
(e) Insert integrated TV module cables (L3) into earphoneboardsas shown.
(f) Finally, connect display cables that were disconnected previously, and close the
upper cover onto the lower cover.

Secure the integrated TV module neck cover as shown in steps (a) through (c).
(a) First remove screws from the integrated TV module neck cover. Then remove the
cover.
(b) Secure the display cover with the screws that were previously removed.
Make sure that the integrated TV module neck cover tucks neatly inside the treadmill
display top cover at area (A). Then use screws to secure the integrated TV neck
cover.

To secure the angle of the TV screen at its recommended position, follow instructions
on the sticker (inside the neck cover). To secure the TV screen angle at a different
position, follow steps (a) through (d) below.
(a) Remove the integrated TV module neck cover.
(b) Remove the screws at the lower left and right sides of the bracket. Loosen (but do
not remove) screws in position (A) until the angle of the TV screen can be adjusted.
(c) After adjusting the angle of the integrated TV screen, secure screws in area (A).
While aligning screw holes, secure other screws that were removed in step (b).
(d) Fit the integrated TV module neck cover to mesh inside the display top cover in area
(B). Then secure the integrated TV module neck cover with its screws.
