What is a rear-facing only seat?

A child restraint designed for use only by a young child in a semi-reclined rear-facing position. Also

referred to as an infant car seat.

Have a 3 or 5-point harness that attaches at the shoulders, at the hips, and between the legs.

Typically there is a base that stays installed in the vehicle.

The rear-facing only seat can connect to the base or a stroller outside the vehicle for convenience.

A child who does not

meet any 1 of the bulleted

criteria to the right cannot

be transported in the seat.

»The B-SAFE 35 has a rethread harness –you need to

disconnect harness straps from the yoke/splitter plate to

adjust harness height as child grows and an open area for

the child’s head.

»The B-SAFE 35 Elite has a no-rethread harness system

and the “U” shaped head restraint to minimize side-to-side

movement of the child’s head and neck in the event of a

side impact.

Where is the serial number and manufacture date on B-SAFE 35

and B-SAFE 35 Elite?

Head Pad Use in B-SAFE 35 The Head Pad is OPTIONAL.

OPTIONAL: :left to one's choice,not required

If it is used, remove when child no longer

needs for positioning.

There is no specific weight, height or

harness height that it must be removed.

Infant Comfort Pillow Use in B-SAFE 35 Elite

The Head Pad is OPTIONAL for children 4-11

pounds.

•OPTIONAL: :left to one's choice :not required

If it is used for a child between 4-11 pounds,

remove when child weighs more than 11 lbs..

11 lbs. is the magical number requiring adjustment!

Does the carry handle have to be down when in the vehicle?

No!

Can a Ford inflatable seat belt be used to install a

BRITAX CLICKTIGHT Convertible car seat?

NO, not at this time. We are in the process of testing

these new seats with the Ford/Lincoln Inflatable Seat

Belt. Please periodically check our Inflatable Seat Belt

Policy for updates –we will update the policy online as

soon as information is available.
