Blues car audio BX-65 is a 6.5' coaxial car speaker with a continuous power handling of 60W and a peak power of 240W. It has a frequency response of 94Hz~20kHz and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. The speaker is made with a black high gloss, warp-resistant, low-resonance steel basket and has a low distortion polypropylene coated woofer cone for improved low end response and weather resistance. It also has a balanced output Mylar Tweeter for improved high frequency response and double pressed foam rubber surrounds for increased sensitivity and better linearity.

OWNER’S MANUAL

Please read through this manual to familiarize yourself with your new

speakers. Should your Blues Speakers ever require service, you will

need to have the original dated receipt.

INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing this Blues speakers system. Whether you are replacing or upgrading

your vehicles factory speakers your new Blues speakers, when used as described, will deliver

great sound and provide years of dependable service in your car, truck, RV or mini-van. We have

taken numerous measures in quality control to ensure that your product arrives in top condition,

and will perform to your satisfaction. Before installing please take a few moments to read through

this owner’s manual as it contains technical data plus installation tips to help you get the most out

of your speakers.

PREPARATION

Here is a short list of guidelines to review prior to installation

• Ensure the speakers will ﬁt in the factory location, double check the mounting depth of the

speakers. Make sure the speaker will not interfere with window mechanics, door handles

and window handles.

• The back of the speaker magnet should not touch any part of the vehicle

• If using the provided Blues mesh grills, be sure mounting location is sufﬁcient distance from

door and/or window handles

• Check all safety regulations by reviewing your vehicle’s owner’s manual

REQUIRED TOOLS

The following is a list of tools need for installation

• Screw drivers

• Battery post wrench

• Hand held drill and bits

• Wire cutter

• Wire stripper

• Crimping tool

• Electrical tape

• Safety glasses (protective eyewear)

Step 1. Remove existing speaker

Step 2. Position new speaker and align

with existing mounting holes

Step 3. Attach positive (+) and negative (-)

speaker terminals. Be sure to observe proper

polarity when connecting the wires.

Step 4. If not using the factory grill, attach the Blues

mesh grill as shown above

Step 5. Mount speaker (save and use the original factory

hardware when possible)

LIMITED WARRANTY POLICY

Blues Audio USA, Inc. offers limited warranty on Blues products under normal use on the

following terms:

Blues Audio USA Speakers are to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one

(1) year.

This warranty applies only to Blues products sold to consumers by Authorized Blues Audio Dealers

in the United States of America. Products purchased by consumers from a Blues Audio dealer in

another country are covered only by that country’s Distributor and not by Blues Audio USA.

This warranty covers only the original purchaser of Blues Audio product. In order to receive service,

the purchaser must provide Blues with the receipt stating the consumer name, dealer, product and

date of purchase.

Products found to be defective during the warranty period will be repaired or replaced (with a product

deemed to be equivalent) at Blues discretion and will not be liable for incidental or consequential

damages. Blues Audio will not warranty this product under the following situations:

• Speakers received with bent frames or liquid damage

• Abuse such as holes in the cone, surround or ripped spider

• Voice coil damage due to amplier clipping or distortion

• Product that has not been installed according to this owner’s manual

Any implied warranties including warranties of ﬁtness for use and merchantability are limited in

duration to the period of the express warranty set forth above. Some states do not allow limitations on

the length of an implied warranty, so this limitation may not apply. No person is authorized to assume

for Blues Audio any other liability in connection with the sale of this product.

Please call (909) 930-1338 for Blues Audio Customer Service. You must obtain an RA# (Return

Authorization Number) to return any product to Blues. The RA number must be prominently marked

on the outside of the shipping carton or the delivery will be refused. Please pack your return carefully;

we are not responsible for items damaged in shipping. Return the defective product along with a

copy of the original dated retail sales receipt, plus $12.00 for handling and diagnostic evaluation to:
