Distribution
panels
are
used
to
connect
a
group
of
grids
and
grid
racks
to
a
welding
power
distribution
system
(or
loop).
Distribution
Panel
8
is
equipped
with
eight
4/0
female
Camlock
receptacles

connecting
up

eight
individual
grids.
Distribution
Panel
10
is
equipped
with
eight
4/0
female
Camlock
receptacles
for
individual
grid
connections
plus
two

MCM
male

perform

installation

avoid
injury

damage
caused

improper

faulty
installation.

Shut
down
welding
power
source,
and
disconnect
input
power
employing
lockout/tagging
procedures
before
in
specting
or
installing.
Disconnectandlockoutinputpowerbe

installing
distribution
panel.
Lockout/tagging
procedures
consist
of
padlocking
line
disconnect
switch
in
open
position,
removing
fuses
from
fuse
box,
or
shutting
off
and
red-tagging
circuit
breaker
or
other
disconnecting
device.
Shut
down
welding
power
source
and
disconnect
line
power.

using

holes

unit
and
1/4
in.

customer
supplied
hardware.

1.
Remove
one
of
the
plugs
from
the
access
holes
in
top
of
distribution
panel,
and
install
supplied
snap
bushing
or
desired
strain
relief,
conduit
fitting,
or
other
similar
device.
2.
Strip
end
of
input
cable,
and
route
cable
through
access
hole.
Insert
cable
into
lug,
and
tighten
setscrew.
3.
Connect
paralleling
bar
across
the
front
of
bus
bars
using
existing
hardware
as
illustrated
in
Figure
2-1.
4.
Reinstall
access
cover.
Tighten
input
cable
strain
relief,
if
applicable.
5.
Affix
appropriate
labels
on
connection
panel
as
illustrated
in
Figure
2-2
to
match
the
polarity
of
the
input
cable.
6.
Make
output
connections
from
distribution
panel
to
grids
and
grid
racks,
if
applicable
(see
Figure
2-2).

1.
Remove
the
plugs
from
the
access
holes
in
top
of
distribution
panel,
and
install
supplied
snap
bushing
or
desired
strain
reliefs,
conduit
fittings,
or
other
similar
devices.
2.
Strip
the
ends
of
the
Positive
and
Negative
input
cables,
and
route
through
the
appropriate
access
holes.
Insert
each
cable
into
the
appropriate
lug,
and
tighten
setscrews.
3.
Reinstall
access
cover.
Tighten
input
cable
strain
relief,
if
applicable.
4.
Affix
POSITIVE
and
NEGATIVE
labels
on
connection
panel
as
illustrated
in
Figure
2-3
to
match
the
polarity
of
the
input
cables.
5.
Make
output
connections
from
distribution
panel
to
grids
and
grid
racks,
if
applicable
(see
Figure
2.3).
