Before Operating Your Dishwasher
Read your dishwasher Owner's Guide. It contains
important safety and warranty information. It also
contains manysuggestions for obtaining the best results
from your dishwasher.
ToOperate Your Dishwasher
1. Load dishwasher according to directions on reverse
side.
2. Beforeadding detergent, makesure dispensercupsare
dry. Donot adddetergent untilyou arereadyto operate
the dishwasher. Usefresh automatic dishwasherdeter-
gent for the bestresults.Theamount of detergent may
vary due to local water conditions, refer to your
Owner's Guide "detergent chart" for details.
Adddetergent.
Turn lidto cover larger cup.
Thedispenserwill automatically releasedetergent at
the correct time during the wash cycle.

3. Close door but do not latch.
4. PushWASH CYCLESbutton for desired washor rinse
cycle (seeWash Cycle Selections which follow).
5. Push ENERGYOPTION button desired (see Energy
Options on reverse).
6. Turn TIMER KNOBclockwise to selected cycle.
7.Open hot water faucet nearestdishwasher to clearcool
water from water pipe.Then turn off the faucet.
8. To start, move latch allthe way to the right.
Motor sounds will be heard before water enters tub.
Forbest results usea rinse aid.

knob mustbe settothe samecycle.Ifyou are unsureabout

Close door- do not latch.
2. PushPOTS& PANSbutton.
3. SelectENERGYOPTION.
4. Turn TIMERKNOBclockwiseto POTS& PANSposition.
5. To START,move latch all the way to the right.
Normal Soil
(70 minutes) (2 washes, 1rinse, dry) (7.6 gallons)
Forregularly soiled dishesand silverware.
1. Add detergent to bothcups.Turn lidto cover larger cup.
Close door- do not latch.
2. PushNORMAL/LIGHTbutton.
3. SelectENERGYOPTION.
4. Turn TIMERKNOBclockwiseto NORMALSOILposition.
5. To start, move latch all the wayto the right.
LightSoil
(60 minutes) (1 wash, 1 rinse, dry) (5.0 gallons)
Forlightly soiled or pre-rinsed dishes and silverware.
1. Add detergent to largercup.Turn lidto cover largercup.
Close door - do not latch.
2. PushNORMAL/LIGHT button.
3. SelectENERGYOPTION.

5. Tostart, move latch all the way to the right.
Rinse&Hold

Forrinsing dishes that will be washed later.
1. Do not usedetergent. Close door- do not latch.
2. PushNORMAL/LIGHTbutton.
3. PushLO-TEMPDRYbutton.
4. Turn TIMERKNOBclockwise to RINSE& HOLDposition.
5. To start, move latch all the way to the right.

EnergyOptions
Hi-Temp Dry Option
A heating element warms the air inside the tub for fast
drying. When the drying period iscompleted the dishes
will continue to dryafter the heating element turns off.
Lo-Temp Dry Option
LO-TEMPDRYsaveselectricity. Theheating elementstays
off during the drying portion of the cycle. Additional
drying time may be required, with the door open, to
completely airdrydishes.Somewater droplets mayremain
ondoor andin areaswheredishestouch dishwasherbasket
or rack.
Ifthe LO-TEMPDRYoption isnot selected, a heateddrying
cycleisautomatically provided.
LO-TEMPDRY must be selected with the RINSE& HOLD
cycle.
Thedrying option maybe changed at anytime duringthe
cycleand affects onlythe drying period.

Guidefor moredetailed information.
Top Rack
Loadglasses,cups,bowls, "dishwasher safe" plasticware,
and miscellaneousitemson the top rack between prongs.
Bottom Rack
Load large plates, platters, bowls, casseroledishes,silver-
ware, pots and pans on the bottom rack.
Placeitems on rackswith soiledsurfacesfacing the center
of the rack. Besurelarge itemsdo not blockthe detergent
dispenser preventing it from opening during the wash
cycle.

Load knivesand forks
with handles up. Be
sureitems do not
protrudethrough the
holesinthe basketand
stop the rotation of
the spray arm.
Cleaning the Pump and SprayArm
Your dishwasher will flush away all normal food soils.
However, objects (bones, fruit pits, etc.) may collect in
openings and should be removed to avoid clogging the
drain.

before cleaning.
Be careful when cleaning around the pump
area. There may be glass fragments from broken glass
items.
1. Removenut and lift outsprayarm. Cleanoutspray holes.
2. Clean in and around pump openings.
3. Replacesprayarm onsprayarm pin. Replaceandtighten
nut. Sprayarm should rotate freely.
