Before installing and using the camera,
please read these instructions throughly
and retain them for later reference.

Maintence of the unit
Remove dust or dirt on the surface of the
lens with a blower.
Use a dry soft cloth to clean the body. If it
is very dirty, use a cloth dampended with a
small quantity of neutral detergent and
then wipe dry.
Avoid the use of volatile solvents such as
thinners, alcohol, benzene, and insecticides
.
They may damage the surface of the body.

Power Supply
S10, S20 : They must be operated with a AC
24V class 2 power supply and DC12V
alternatively.
In the U.S.A, use a Power supply which is UL
Listed.
In the Canada, use a Power supply which is
CSA Certified.
* Notes:Be careful of AC frequency when the
camera is operated with Line lock mode.
AC24V(50Hz): S10HP/S10NP/S20HP

Handling of the unit
Be careful not to spill water or other liquids on
the unit. Be cautions not to get combustible or
metallic material inside the body. If used with
foreign matter inside, the camera is liable to fail
or to get a cause of fire or electric shock.
Operating and storage location
Avoid viewing a very bright object (such as light
fittings) during an extended period. Avoid
operating or storing the unit in the following
locations.

Control names and Location
1. Tripod adaptor
This adaptor can also be attached on the bottom of the camera
2. Flange-back Adjusting Lever
This lever is used to adjust the back focal length or picture focus. Rotate this
lever clockwise for a C-mount lens or counterclockwise for a CS-mount lens.

This connector, which is built-in 4 pin male connector, is used to connect with
the auto iris lens.

The first terminal from the left is used to connect Alarm Output.

The Adjustment method of Line Lock Phase
When using a camera switcher to connect 2 cameras or
more to one monitor, there may be a vertical roll of the
images when switched. In such a case, refer to the
below.
-The vertical sync phase can be manually adjusted
within the range approximately from -90
o
to 90
o
.
- Switch the display on the monitor from camera1 to
camera2.
Adjust the V.PHASE volume on camera2 until the
vertical roll of the image stops.
If more than two cameras are used, please repeat this
procedure for all the cameras.
- If you can’t adjust vertical sync. phase,
Please exchange the polarity of input terminal.

CONNECTIONS
Power Connection
LVC-S101, LVC-S201 (AC100V-AC240V)
1. Connect the AC power cord (supplied as an accessory) to the power cord
socket of the camera.
2. Connect the AC power cord to an electrical outlet of 100V - 240V
LVC-S10, LVC-S20 (DC12V/AC24V Compatible)
1. DC 12V Power Supply
Remove the insulation on the power cable as illustrated and connect the
power cord to the AC/DC compatible terminals on rear panel of the camera.
Note :
Be cautious of the polarity of positive and negative.
Be sure to confirm DC 12V ±2V
2. AC 24V Power Supply
Connect the power cable to the AC/DC compatible input terminal on the rear
panel of the camera
Note :
To get the optimum performance from the unit, be sure to connect to an AC
supply of 24V ±10%

Mounting Auto Iris Lens
1. Mount the lens by turning it clockwise on the lens mount of the camera.
2. Set the slide switch of rear panel to your lens type
3. Connect the lens cable to the auto iris lens connector on the side of the
camera.
4. If the lens connection is not connector type but wired cable type, connect
this cable to iris terminal block at rear panel.
In this case, note the terminal assignment of DC or Video lens.
Notes: Rotate the lever clockwise until it stops.
If the lever is not at the end, the inner glass or CCD image sensor may be
damaged.
Auto Iris 4 Pin Plug Connector
Alarm Connection
1. Connect the alarm out from terminal to VCR or other equipment.
2. Set the alarm mode by using Menu function (see page 13)
Notes: Alarm GND is shared with Auto Iris GND

1. Loosen the screws on the flange -back adjusting lever.
2. Turn the flange-back adjusting lever to the proper focus position.
3. Tighten the screws with (-)driver on the flange-back adjusting lever

2. SETTING THE MENU

This camera has user setting menu that is displayed on the monitor.
To set OSD function, use the following buttons on the side panel.
Up/Down Button (

) : This button is used to select function .
Left/Right Button (

) : This button is used to set or adjust parameters.
Center Button ( ) : This button is used to access menu mode and exit the menu.
* The function of Digital Zoom is directly operated with Left / Right button.
(Left button is telephoto key and Right button is wide angle Key)
Opening the Setup Menu
Press and hold down ( ) for two seconds or longer and the OSD Menu appears on the
monitor as shown in the picture on the left.

1. BRIGHTNESS Adjustment
- Use the

button to move the cursor to “BRIGHTNESS”
- Use the

button to adjust the degree of brightness.
2. Shutter Speed Setting
- Use the

button to move the cursor to “SHUTTER”
Use the

button to set the shutter speed mode.
There are 8 steps in High Shutter Mode ; Normal 1/60(1/50 at
PAL), flickerless, 1/250, 1/500, 1/1000, 1/2000, 1/4000 and
1/10000.
Notes : This function is effective with DC or Video Iris Mode.
3. AGC Setting
- Use the

button to move the cursor to “AGC”
- Use the

button to set the AGC On / Off mode.
4. BACKLIGHT Setting
- Use the

button to move the cursor to “BACKLIGHT”

6 WBC(White Balance Control)Mode setting

- Only when you press the center button in AWC Mode , Push Auto
White Mode can work.
ATW Mode : White Balance is automatically designated. (The range
of color temperature is approximately from 2300K to
9000K.)
AWC Mode : White Balance is fixed and Push Auto White Mode is
operated only by pressing the center button.
7. SYNC MODE Setting
- Use the

button to move the cursor to “SYNC MODE”
- Use the

button to set the LL(Line lock) or INT(internal)
Whenever the VBS or the VD signals are supplied to GENLOCK
input jack, the camera switches automatically to the VBS Lock or
VD Lock mode.

Editing the Camera Setup Menu 2
1. MOTION DETECTION Setting
- Use the
/
button to move the cursor to “MOTION DET”.
- Use the
/
button to set the mode On or Off.
If the MOTION DET is set, “Motion Detected” appears on the
top of monitor.
* Set the SENSITIVITY
- Press the button to move to submenu.
- Use the
/
button to move the cursor to “SENSITIVITY”.
- Use the
/
button to adjust the sensitivity of motion detection.
* Set the area of Motion Detection
- Press the button to move submenu.
- Use the
/
button to move the cursor to “MASK AREA SET”.
- Use the

button to move to mask position
- Use the

button to set the mask use or not.
* White Mask indicates exception of motion detection.
There are five mask area in this camera.
Notes :
Motion Detection is malfunction under the following situation.
Please note the conditions in the below.
* When shooting an object under flickering fluorescent light.
* When leaves or curtains are swayed by the wind.

*When the object is put in the place where the degree of light is not
constant.
*When the digital zoom is working, the Motion detection does not
work . Please set the zoom switch to the end of wide mode.

3. WIDE BURST Setting
- Use the

button to move the cursor to “WIDE BURST”
- Use the

button to set the On / Off mode.
WIDE BURST Setting is useful to prevent attenuation of burst
signal in case of long distance installation.
4. ELECTRONIC SENSITIVITY Up Setting
- Use the
/
button to move the cursor to “SENSITIVITY”
- Use the
/
button to select the mode with your preference.
(OFF, x2 auto, x4 auto , x6 auto, x10 auto, x16 auto, x32 auto,
OFF, x2 fix, x4 fix, x6 fix, x10 fix, x16 fix, x32 fix, OFF, ...)
Notes: * ELC Mode does not have the function of FIX Mode.
* If you select x32 AUTO, for example, the sensitivity is
raised automatically to x32 Max.
* If you select x32 FIX, for example, the sensitivity is raised
to just x32
* When AUTO is selected, AGC is automatically set to ON.
5. INITIAL Setting
All Reset allows you to reset all menu items to the factory settings
if you are unsure whether all the modes were set up correctly or not.
- Use the

button to move the cursor to “INITIAL SET”

button to set ON mode, and then all the data is
set to factory value.
