Trouble Shooting Steps
There are three main wires that should be connected to the power supply to turn ON the radio.
Yellow
- Constant Source +12 VDC like the (+) Positive post of the battery
Red
– Switched Power +12 VDC normally connected to the ACC line of the Ignition key
Black
- Ground (-) has continuity with chassis ground
Both
RED
and
YELLOW
should have +12VDC on the line and the
BLACK
is connected to the
GROUND for the radio to turn ON.
For testing the unit out of the vehicle, the RED and YELLOW should receive +12VDC and the
BLACK should be connected to GROUND.
The 508UAB does not feature a built-in phonebook nor is it advertised as having one.
The quality of sound is a subjective matter. To get the most out of your sound system, it is
recommended to upgrade your vehicle’s stock speakers. Furthermore, the addition of an amplifier
and/or subwoofer will greatly enhance the sound of your vehicle.
Bluetooth
Please ensure you have downloaded and installed the latest software update on your mobile
device.
Place the Bluetooth device in an open space. Placing your Bluetooth device in your pocket with
your body between the device and the speaker will cause a poor connection.
Close any applications that are not being used on your device. If too many applications are
running on your device, the unused applications can use up resources available to transmit
audio. Closing any applications that are not in use can improve the audio signal.
Wireless devices that operate in the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz bandwidth (microwave transmitters,
wireless cameras, baby monitors, and a neighbor's Wi-Fi device) can cause interference with
Bluetooth connections.
To pair and connect to Bluetooth:
1.
Go to the Bluetooth settings on your mobile device.
2.
Turn Bluetooth On.
3.
Search for, and select device “508UAB”
To disconnect and un-pair Device:
1.
Go to the Bluetooth settings on your mobile device.
2.
Select “508UAB”. (BT Friendly name)
3.
Select “Disconnect”. (Your device is now disconnected but still paired with the 508UAB
To un-pair, select “Forget Device”
