1. Using a 10mm socket remove (2) hex nuts holding rear
plastic fascia to bottom of trunk pan. Save (2) nuts for
reinstallation in STEP 9.
2. Remove spare tire and jack tool kit from inside trunk using
a 10mm socket.

3. Use a utility knife to cut frame sealer. Remove (2) rearmost
rubber drain plugs from bottom of trunk pan, return to owner.
NOTE: Detach hands-free trunk release sensor from rear
fascia and move away from trim area.
4. Mark trim area on fascia using masking tape and tape
measure. Use rotary cutting tool to trim fascia.

5. Insert (2) 1/2-13 x 4.5" in each bolt plate. Gently pull fascia
down and place bolt plate with bolts on top of each bumper
beam extension.
6. Raise hitch into position, guiding bolts through slots in hitch.
Loosely secure hitch into position using (4) 1/2" hex flange
nuts.
INSTALLATION WALKTHROUGH:
7. Seal drain holes in trunk pan with silicone caulk. Insert
11448-SP and 1/2-13 x 1 1/2" carriage bolt into each drain
hole in orientation shown, secure hardware to hitch with
1/2" hex flange nut.
8. Torque (4) hex flange nuts securing 1/2-13 x 4 1/2" bolts to
side plates to 75 ft-lbs. Torque (2) hex flange nuts securing
mounting plate to 110 ft-lbs.
Return spare tire and jack tool kit to trunk. Secure hex nut
with 10mm socket.
9. Reinstall hands-free trunk sensor into clips on driver's side.
Guide sensor across trim area and behind mounting plate.
Reinstall sensor into clips on passenger side. Reinstall (2)
hex nuts removed in STEP 1 with a 10mm socket.

1. Using a 10mm socket remove (2) hex nuts along the bottom of plastic fascia. Save nuts for reinstallation in STEP 9.
2. Remove spare tire and jack tool kit from inside trunk using a 10mm socket.
3. Use a utility knife to cut frame sealer. Remove (2) rearmost rubber drain plugs from bottom of trunk pan, return to owner.
NOTE: Detach hands-free trunk release cable from rear fascia and move away from trim area.
4. Mark trim area on fascia using masking tape and tape measure. Use rotary cutting tool to trim fascia.
5. Insert (2) 1/2"-13 x 4 1/2" bolt in each bolt plate. Gently pull fascia down and place bolt plate with bolts on top of
each bumper beam extension.
6. Raise hitch into position, guiding bolts through slots in hitch. Loosely secure hitch using (4) 1/2" hex flange nuts.
7. Seal drain holes in trunk pan with silicone caulk. Insert 11448-SP and 1/2-13 x 1 1/2" carriage bolt into each drain
hole with flanges outward, secure hardware to hitch with 1/2" hex flange nut.
8. Torque (4) hex flange nuts securing 1/2-13 x 4 1/2" bolts to side plates to 75 ft-lbs. Torque (2) hex flange nuts
securing mounting plate to 110 ft-lbs. Return spare tire and jack tool kit to trunk. Secure hex nut with 10mm socket.
9. Reinstall hands-free trunk sensor into clips. Guide sensor across trim area and behind mounting plate. Reinstall (2)
hex nuts removed in STEP 1 with a 10mm socket.
