Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the Nextar Digital Photo Frame.
Before operating the unit, please read the manual thoroughly, and
keep it for future reference.
This manual will help you use many of the exciting and useful
features of your Digital Photo Frame.
This Digital Photo Frame lets you view digital pictures and enjoy
music directly from your camera’s memory cards, and will read data
from SD, MMC, MS, XD and USB flash memory cards. There are a
wide variety of picture display styles and effects available, you can
be able to create a slide show using multiple transition effects or just
display one picture at a time. No computer, digital camera or Internet
connection is required.
You can also enjoy your digital pictures and music on your TV by
connecting the Digital Photo Frame to your television with the
included Video and Audio cables.

Starts a slide show automatically upon disk inserting

Note: Video files may not display correctly if stored on a
low-speed card.

Getting Started
A. Decide where and how you'd like your Digital Photo Frame
displayed: on the wall, on a table, or elsewhere.
Swing the Digital Photo Frame stand on the back of the frame to
change its position from horizontal to vertical. To mount the Digital
Photo Frame on a wall, use the mounting holes on the back of the
Digital Photo Frame. First, secure the screw into your mounting
surface, and then gently hang the frame onto the screw.
Note: The horizontal position of the frame is the most stable.
B. You can now plug the power adaptor into an electrical outlet.
Turn on the Digital Photo Frame by pressing the power button on the
back of the frame.

C. Inserting the Memory Cards
The Digital Photo Frame is compatible with the following memory
cards:
Secure Digital Card (SD)
Multimedia Card (MMC)
Extreme Digital (XD)
Memory Stick (MS)
USB flash disk
Insert the memory card with the front label facing the back of the
device. Do not force the memory card into the memory slot.
If you are not able to easily insert the memory card completely,
you may have inserted it the wrong way.

Note: The digital photo frame will ONLY recognize digital pictures
stored in JPEG format. The device will ignore digital pictures stored
in other formats.
If the card is inserted correctly and you have more than one
supported media file on the card, you will see the following menu
screen. If you only have one file on the card, it will only display the
thumbnail upon insertion of the card.
Before inserting the memory card, you’d better be sure that it
contains files.

How to Use
1.Viewing Photos
Use the on-board buttons to control the photo frame.
On the menu, press the buttons to select items and then
press the button to enter the menu. Press the button to return
to the main menu, or press the button and hold it to put the frame
in standby mode.
1. Use the buttons to select the photo folder, and
press the button to enter it.
2. Select a picture and press the button to view the photo.
3. While the picture is open, you can press the button to view
the previous photo and the button to see the next one.

4. Use the buttons to rotate the photo.
5. When ready, press the button to display the photos in the
slide show.
6. Use and hold the button for 2 seconds to zoom in on the
photo, and then use the buttons to navigate the
photo while zoomed in.
2.Listening to MP3s
Before you are able to listen to MP3s, you must first store MP3 music
files on the memory card you wish to use. Once that is completed:
1. Use the buttons to select the music folder.
2. Select the desired MP3 and press the button to start playing
it.
3. Use the button to play the previous song and the button
to play the next one.

4. Use and hold the button for 2 seconds to increase the
volume and press and hold the button for 2 seconds to
decrease the volume.
5. Use the button to stop the song.
6. Use the button and hold it for 2 seconds to repeat the song.
3.Displaying Photos with MP3 Background Music
When photos are displayed on the screen, press and hold button
for 2 seconds to play MP3 music in the background. Press and hold
the button again to stop playing the music.
4.Watching Videos
The digital photo frame supports the following video formats:
Motion -JPEG: the video format used by most digital cameras.
MPEG 1
MPEG 4

Before you are able to watch videos, you must first store video files
on the memory card.
1. Use the buttons to select the video folder.
2. Select the desired video and press the button to start it.
3. Use the button to play the previous video and the button
to play the next one.
4. Use and hold the button for 2 seconds to increase the
volume and press and hold the button for 2 seconds to
decrease the volume.
5. Use the button to stop the video.
6. Use and hold the button for 2 seconds to repeat the video.
5.Setting the Time
5.1 Calendar
1. Select Calendar and press button to enter the menu.
2. On the menu, select Display and press button to browse
the current calendar.
3. To change the date, select Set Date and press button to
enter the menu and set the desired date. Press the OK button
to confirm and return to the Calendar menu.
4. Select Exit to exit the menu.

5.2 Clock
1. Select Clock and press the button to enter the menu.
2. On the menu, select Display, press the button to select
Clock or Clock & Calendar, and press the button to enter.
3. Select Set Time and press the button to enter the menu and
set the desired time.
4. Select Exit to exit the menu.
5.3 Alarm
1. Select Alarm and press button to enter the menu.
2. On the menu, select Enable and press button and select
“On” to turn on the alarm function or “Off” to turn off the
function.
3. Select Set Time and press the button to set the time for the
alarm and press the OK button to confirm it.
4. Select Exit to exit the menu.
5.4 Auto- Power
1. Select Auto- Power and press the button to enter the menu
2. On the menu, select Power On Enable and press the
button to select “On” and set a time for the frame to turn on
automatically, or “Off” to turn off the function.
3. Select Power Off Enable and press the button to select

“On” and set a time for the frame to turn off automatically, or
“Off” to turn off the function.
4. Select Set Time and press button to select Power On, and
then press the button to enter the menu and set the desired
time for the frame to automatically turn on, or select Power Off
and press the button to enter the menu and set the desired
time for the frame to automatically turn Off.
5. Select Exit to exit the menu.
6.Setup
6.1 Photo Setting
On the menu, press the
buttons to select the
desired item, press the
button to return to the
previous menu.
Interval Time
Use the button to select Interval Time in the Setup menu and
choose the amount of time you want photos to display before moving
to the next in the slide show: 5, 10, 15 or 30 seconds, 1 minute or 3
minutes; or select “Off
”
to cancel the function.

Transition Effect
Use the buttons to select Transition Effect, and then press
the button to enter the menu and set the transition style between
the photos of the slide show.
Show Type
Use the buttons to select Show Type, and then press the
button to enter the menu and set the desired type of the slide show.
Browse
Use the buttons to select Browse, and then press the
button to enter the menu and select the desired mode to browse the
photo.
6.2 Auto Play
On the menu, press the
button to enter the menu,
press the buttons to
select the desired item on
the menu and press the
button to return.
Photo
Use the buttons to select “On” to auto play the photo when in
Photo view; select “Off” to leave the photo in Thumbnail mode.

Music
Use the buttons to select “On” to auto play the music when in
Music playback mode or select “Off” to have the system enter File
Manager mode, where you can press the button to start playing.
Movie
Use the buttons to select “On” to auto play the movie when in
Movie Playback mode or select “Off” to have the system enter File
Manager mode, where you can press the button to start playing.
6.3 Display Setup
On the menu, press the
button to enter the menu,
press the buttons to
select the desired item on
the menu and press the
button to return.
TV Standard
Use this menu to set TV system type: NTSC, PAL or Auto.
AV Output
Use this menu to set AV Output type: TV or Panel.

Brightness
Use this menu to set the brightness of the screen: Normal, Bright
and Soft.
Contrast
Use this menu to set the contrast of the screen, ranging from “-3～
3”.
Saturation
Use this menu to set the saturation of the screen, ranging from “-3～
3”.
6.4 Custom Setup
On the menu, press the
button to enter the menu,
press the buttons to
select the desired item on
the menu and press the
button to return.
OSD Language
Use this option to set the OSD (On Screen Display) language.
Style
Use this option to set the operation style for user: Style1, Style2,

Style3 and Style4.
Repeat Mode
Use this option to set repeat mode to Off, One, Folder and All.
Media
Use this option to select the desired media input device: USB, SD+
MMC, MS or XD.
Auto Rotate
Select “On” to turn on the auto rotate function that will automatically
turn photos when the frame is switched between the vertical and
horizontal positions; or select “Off” to cancel the function.
Detect Brightness
Select “On” to turn on automatic brightness detection for the screen;
or select “Off” to cancel the function.
Default
Use this option to set all operations to default status.
6.5 Exit
Press the button to exit the Setup Menu to return to the Main
Menu.

Care and Maintenance
Technical Notes
1. Your Digital Photo Frame is a sophisticated electronic device.
Do not drop it or subject the unit to jarring or strong vibrations.
2. Avoid placing the Digital Photo Frame in areas of high humidity
or where it might be exposed to liquids.
3. The panel is made of plastic and can be easily damaged. Avoid
using sharp objects on or near it.
4. Use only a soft dry cloth to clean the screen.
Question/Troubleshooting Guide
This chapter presents some troubleshooting for any problems you
may encounter while using the device. If the following guide fails to
solve your problem, please do not disassemble the device, make
use of our qualified and professional staff who are eager to help.
1.Question: What kind of photos does this device’s supports?
Answer: The Frame will display digital photos that are stored in the
JPEG format, which is the standard format for nearly all the digital
cameras. Some cameras allow images to be stored as TIFF files,
RAW files or JPEG files, but only the JPEG format is compatible with
this unit.
2.Question: What should I do if the system does not respond
when the power is on?

Answer: Make sure the unit is properly connected to a power source.
Then turn it off, reconnect the power and turn it on again.
3.Question: Why is the memory card not recognized?
Answer: The memory card might be inserted backwards or not be
pushed in far enough. Try re-inserting the memory card in the right
direction. If the card still cannot be read, please turn off the unit and
then turn it on again.
