Put the motorcycle on a workstand so that the
rear wheel barely touches the ground.

Loosen the rebound adjustment, on the
upper side of the gasoline tank. Use a 14 mm
wrench.

Loosen the upper attachment nut by using
a 15 mm wrench and an allen key to hold
the shaft.
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
Warning!
It is advisable to have an Öhlins dealer install the shock
absorber/front fork/steering damper.
Warning!
If working on a raised vehicle, ensure it is securely
supported so that it will not tip.
Note!
Before mounting this product clean the vehicle
thoroughly.
Note!

Service Manual for vehicle specic procedures and

Remove the upper half of the rubber bushing
from the upper bracket of the shock absorber

Pull out the shock absorber, down and
towards the front.

Install the rubber bushings from the original
shock absorber to the Öhlins shock absorb
-
er. Install the Öhlins shock absorber the same
way, the upper end through the bracket in the
gasoline tank.

Reinstall the upper rubber bushing.

Attach the upper end of the shock absorber
by using the two nuts provided. First install the
ange nut and washer, then the blue nut.
Use a wrench to the at surfaces of the shaft,
to prevent it from rotating.

Attach the lower end of the Öhlins shock
absorber.

Loosen the lower bracket of the shock
absorber.
