AMG2009 19” Recessable Rackmount Subrack Chassis
with Power Supply
The AMG2009 subrack is a standard 19" rack-mount housing 3u high, 84HP wide and 285mm deep.
There is an integral power supply at the left-hand side of the rack. The subrack can house up to 10
AMG plug-in units each of 7 HP wide or 5 AMG plug-in units of 14 HP wide. Blanking panels can be
provided (Pt. No. BP2000) to cover all unused slots.
Power is provided via a standard IEC mains input socket to the rear of the power supply.
Power requirement: 85 to 264v ac 50-60Hz
Fuse rating: Input socket fuse 2.5A, 240v, anti-surge (T)
There is one fuse in the power circuit rated as above. It is in a fuse holder integral to the IEC mains
socket. The second is within the power supply.
The 2009 subrack will power AMG plug-in units with a total power consumption of less than 100 Watts.
The LED on the front panel when lit indicates that the power supply is operating correctly and low
voltage power (15 volts) is being supplied to each of the plug-in slots via the rear power supply bus. If
the LED does not come on, the user should:
1. Check the input mains supply.
2. Check the fuse in the IEC connector and replace if necessary.
3. Check the output 15 volt power rail is not shorted out.
4. Replace the power supply.
The plug-in power supply can be ordered separately (Pt. No. AMG2009PS)
The Subrack mounting ears can be moved forward in order to recess the subrack in the rack. The
recessed position can allowing for increased fibre bend radius when using AMG5000 Series equipment
which has optical connections to the front face of the plug-in equipment.
Dimensions of the rack are 19’’ wide and 3u high
484mm wide 132mm high and 285mm deep
