accident occurs and “on-the-spot” medical attention given if possible. If a doctor cannot come to
the scene of the accident immediately, follow his instructions concerning actions to take. Do not
add eye drops or other medication unless advised to do so by the doctor. Do not place a battery or
acid within the reach of children. If acid (electrolyte) is taken internally drink large quantities of
water or milk. Follow with milk of magnesia, beaten egg or vegetable oil. Call a physician
immediately. If electrolyte is spilled or splashed on any surface of the car, it should be neutralized
and rinsed with clean water.1
Be sure all control switches are in the OFF position before disconnecting the negative (-)
ground cable. Otherwise, sparking and explosion are possible!
Steering Controls
The Model 325E is capable of being set up with three different control configurations. Each
configuration offers unique benefits to the operator. Preferences are usually determined by an
operator’s prior experience with zero-turn-radius equipment. All configurations allow safe
operation of the machine when properly set up and maintained. However, some configurations
are more appropriate for novice or inexperienced operators.
IMPORTANT! Before operating the Articulator, check to be sure all controls are properly
connected, clear of debris, and freely operable.
1. Hand and Foot Controls with Spring Return to Stop
The Model 325E is shipped from the factory in this configuration. This unique configuration
offers the operator the ability to maintain and control forward speed with either the hands or
the feet. Because it permits the operator to trade off between hand and foot controls, the
operator can move a branch out of the way, adjust the throttle, or have a drink of water while
cutting. The ability to trade off between hand and foot controls also helps to relieve stress
while cutting.
IMPORTANT! Both hand and foot controls are inter-linked, moving simultaneously when
either is activated. Both hand and foot controls must be released for the return spring to stop
the wheels. It is recommended that all operators learn the use of foot controls away from
people and in an open area. Do not use the foot controls to move the mower in reverse.
2. Hand Controls with Spring Return to Stop
This configuration allows the operator to maintain and control forward speed with the hand
controls only. The foot pedals and tie-rods can be removed to eliminate the foot controls of
the Model 325E. This is recommended for applications that see a wide range of operators.
Most novice operators have not been exposed to foot controls and may not naturally
coordinate hand and foot movements.
