DL2K OPERATION
PALSTAR
The Palstar DL2K dummy load utilizes solid ceramic resistive
elements that are non-inductive and very reisitant to overload
and high temperature operation.
The DL2K now has a thermostatically controlled fan cooling
system. With the fan switch in the ON position, the fan runs
continuously as long as power is supplied to the unit. With the
fan switch in the OFF position, the fan will come on automatically
when the internal resistors reach a pre-set temperature.
Although the meter scale indicates a maximum of 5000 Watts
(500 x 10), the maximum rated dissipation is 2000 watts for up to
1 minute with the fan on (see Power Capability chart).
