DO NOT CONNECT THE ANTENNA WIRE ON THE BACK OF THIS SET TO ANY
OUTDOOR ANTENNA
Mains plug is used as the disconnect device. It shall remain readily operable and
should not be obstructed during intended used. To be completely disconnected the
apparatus from supply mains, the mains plug of the apparatus shall be di sconnect ed
from the mains socket outlet completely.
POWER SOURCES
Before plugging in the AC power cord, make sure AC power outlet must match the
power rating of this unit.
BOTTOM OF SET
Battery compartment for 9 volt (6F22) battery (not included) for temporary time
storage during input AC power failure.
BATTERY BACK-UP
(For Temporary Time Storage Only)
Connect a 9 volt (6F22) battery (not included) to the terminals inside the battery
compartment. It is recommended that the set is disconnected from the mains
supply while the battery is fitted. Your set will not work normally from the mains
supply but there is now the advantage that if there is a mains current failure you
clock will continue to work. The clock display will not light up, as the clock time will
be held in the clock memory by the battery back-up system. This enables you to
move the set from place to place without re-setting the clock every time. The
battery back-up system is only meant to be used from short temporary power
failures. For longer durations the battery may become exhausted or there may be
some deviation in accuracy. When the battery is exhausted, it should be removed
from the set to prevent leakage. If you do not wish to take advantage of the
battery back-up system, your set will work normally without a battery. However, if
disconnected from the mains, the clock figures will flash when the mains are
re-connected and you must re-set the clock as described in the Electronic Clock
Operation paragraph.
CLOCK SETTING
1. To set hour, press and hold the Time Set button (3), press the Hour button (9)
until the desire hour is displayed.
2. To set minute, press and hold the Time Set button (3), press the Minute button
(10) until the desire minute is displayed.
RADIO OPERATION
1. Slide the Function selector (ON/OFF/AUTO/BUZZ)(11) to “ON” position.
2. Slide Band Selector (14) to FM or AM position.
3. Turn the Volume Control (15) to desired volume level.
4. Turn the Tuning Control (16) to select your favorite radio station.
5. Antenna
For AM reception, this radio incorporates a highly sensitive ferrite core bar
antenna.
For FM reception, this set is specially equipped with an external wire as FM
antenna wire (20). Be sure to untwist it to its fullest length for peak
performance.
NATURAL SOUND OPERATION
1. To switch the natural sound on, slide the Function selector (11) to ONposition.
2. Slide the Natural Sound / Radio function selector (18) to “NATURAL SOUND”
position.
3. Slide the Natural Sound Mode Select or (17) to select desire natural sound mode.
Natural sound Mode : 1=Rainforest ; 2=Seashore ; 3=Babbling Brook ; 4=Country
Night
4. Adjust the Volumn control (15) to the desire volumn level.
WELLNESS-LIGHT OPERATION
1. To turn on the light, slide the Light (4) button to “ON” position.
2. To adjust the brightness level, by turning the Light Brightness control (6).
3. To turn off the light, slide the Light (4) button to “OFF” position.
WAKE TO RADIO
Having selected your station and set the volume at the desired level, proceed as
follows :
1. Slide the Function selector ON/OFF/AUTO/BUZZ (11) to “AUTO” position.
2. Slide the Natural Sound / Radio function selector (18) to “RADIO” position.
3. Press the Alarm Set Button (2) and whilst this button is depressed, press the
Hour Button (9) and then the Minute Button (10) until the time is reached at
which you wish to wake. The wake up time is now entered into the timer memory.
To check the wake up time, simply press the Alarm Set Button (2) and the clock
will show the present time. The preset wake up time will continue to be
registered in the time memory and the radio will switch on by itself at the same
time on next day.
4. To switch the radio off, simply slide the Function selector (11) to “OFFposition.
WAKE TO NATURAL SOUND
1. Slide the Function selector ON/OFF/AUTO/BUZZ (11) to “AUTO” position.
2. Slide the Natural Sound / Radio function selector (18) to “NATURAL SOUND”
position.
3. Slide the Natural Sound Mode Select or (17) to select desire natural sound mode.
4. Repeat step 3 of WAKE TO RADIO section.
5. To switch the natural sound off, simply slide the Function selector (11) to “OFF”
positioin.
WAKE TO BUZZER
1. Slide the Function selector ON/OFF/AUTO/BUZZ (11) to BUZZ” position.
2. Repeat step 3 of WAKE TO RADIO section.
3. To switch the buzzer sound off, simply slide the Function Selector (11) to “OFF
position.
WAKE TO WELLNESS-LIGHT
1. Select the desired light brightness level, please refer to WELLNESS-LIGHT
OPERATION section details.
2. Follow the alarm time setting steps 3 at WAKE TO RADIO section.
3. If only wake to light is preferred, turn the Volumn Control (15) to the minimum
level.
4. Slide the Light (4) to “AUTO” position.
5. The light will gradually ON approximately within 15-20 minutes prior the set
alarm sound.
NOTE :
The wake to wellness-light function is designed to have the light gradually ON when
the set alarm time due without any alarm sound (radio / buzzer / natural sound).
If user wishes to wake up by the light only, please set the alarm time 15 minutes
prior to the preferred time.
For example, if you wish to wake at 07:30 morning ; you should set the alarm wake
time at 07:15.
So that the unit will turn ON the wellness light gradually at 07:15 for your body to
prepare awake at 07:30.
SNOOZE REPEAT ALARM (WITH WELLNESS-LIGHT)
1. When the wellness-light was activated by the alarm at set-time (light will
gradually ON for 15 minutes before alarm sound ON), pressing the Snooze
button (13) once will turn off the light temporarily. The Auto (5) indicator will
flash to indicator the unit at Snooze mode. Approximate 9 minutes after, the
light will be on gradually again. This operation cycle will repeat within 59
minutes. Then the function will be released automatically.
2. To turn the alarm off for 24 hours during the alarm activation, press the Alarm
button (2) once.
3. Simply slide the Function selector (11) to “OFF” position to cancel the alarm
function.
SNOOZE REPEAT ALARM (WITHOUT WELLNESS-LIGHT)
1. When the radio / natural sound / buzzer was activated by the alarm at set-time,
pressing the Snooze button (13) once will turn off the alarm temporarily. The
Auto (5) indicator will flash to indicator the unit at Snooze mode. Approximate
9 minutes after, the alarm will be on again. This operation cycle will repeat
within 59 minutes. Then the function will be released automatically.
2. To turn the alarm off for 24 hours during the alarm activation, press the Alarm
button (2) once.
3. Simply slide the Function selector (11) to “OFF” position to cancel the alarm
function.
SLEEP TO RADIO / NATURE SOUND
1. Select the desired radio station or nature sound & volume level. Please refer to
RADIO OPERATION section and NATURAL SOUND OPERATION section for
details.
2. Slide the Function selector (11) to the “AUTO” or “OFF” position
3. Note : No sleep to Wellness-light function for this unit.
4. Press the Sleep button (1) & the clock display will show 59 minute as the default
sleep period.
5. To change the sleep period, press and hold the Sleep button (1), pressing the
Minute button (10) to reduce the minute setting.
6. The sleep period can also be set up to 1 hour 59 minute by pressing the Hour
button (9) once while holding the Sleep button (1) down.
7. Once the sleep period set, release all button.
8. To select sleep to radio or natural sound by sliding the Natural Sound / Radio
Selector (18) accordingly.
9. The radio / natural sound will on until the set period due and turned off
automatically.
10. To turn the sleep function off prior to the end of the preset period, press the
Snooze button (13) once.
RESET
The fluctuation of input voltage may result in system malfunction.
To reset the unit, using a sharp pencil or pen to push the mini button inside the
battery compartment.
GENERAL CARE
The cabinet can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth (make sure mains lead is
disconnected from mains supply)
Avoid leaving the clock radio in direct sunlight or in hot, humid, dusty places.
Keep the set away from heating appliances and appliances that generate noise, such
as fluorescent lamps, or motors.
