1. Hi-tech
Full computer control and display screen indicates the actual water temperature and set temperature, clock,
and working status.
If a fault occurs, it will automatically cut off power, and the display screen will indicate a fault code.
The intelligent heating function embodies a more user-friendly design.
2. Safety
Quality imported heat-resisting stainless steel electrothermal elements make it corrosion-resistant and more
reliable. Such functions as fuzzy control, over-temperature protection, interior shell over-pressure protection,

4. Energy Saving
This unit adopts integral polyurethane foam to preserve heat and save energy. This unit can manually set two
levels of reservation times of utilization of water, so it is convenient and energy saving. The functions of night
power and medium-temperature heat preservation can be chosen randomly. This unit adopts prompt-heating
design, so it is rapid and energy saving.
5. Convenient Operation
The heating water temperature can be set and adjusted between a range of 35℃~75 with intervals of 5.
The outlet temperature can be adjusted randomly at the range of inlet temperature 75, and the operation
is simple and flexible.
This unit adopts a prompt-heating design and top heating technology, which can meet the demand for hot
water instantaneously.
Prompt-heating type and water storage type are combined into one unit, and it can be chosen willfully and can
simultaneously meet the demand for hot water of many people.
This unit has a drain opening to facilitate the periodic cleaning of interior shell to obtain high quality water.
6. Power-failure Memory
The computer panel is of patented design. This unit will automatically keep the set information in memory
before a power failure, and it will directly return to the previous working status after the power comes back
on.

This unit has an enclosed structure and it can provide water for bathroom and kitchen simultaneously. (The
outlet water is not suitable for drinking)

z Check if ammeter and
wires are in
conformity with rated

heater. Request a
qualified electrician to
check if necessary.
z This water heater uses
AC 220V/50Hz
power. It uses an
independent socket (it
is prohibited to use a
multipurpose socket), and conducts reliable
earthing, and the socket quality must meet the
national standards. Remove the metal sheet on
power plug to prevent fire accidents arising due to
stains on the metal sheet.
z Don’t use electric
apparatuses if the
wire is damaged and
the power socket and
plug slack,
otherwise, it may
cause such accidents as electric shock, short
circuit or fire. Please confirm if the power plug
is closed connected with the power socket.
z The power socket of
the water heater must
be installed in a dry
place where water
cannot spray it. Don’t
insert and remove the
power plug with wet hands, otherwise, such
accidents as electric shock and injury may occur.
z After installation and
before the first use,
firstly fill with water
and then connect the
power. If the power is
connected under the condition that the vessel is
not fully filled with water, the heating tube will
overheat, which may result in an accident.
Operation by a child should be supervised by an
adult.
z Please don’t point the
shower nozzle at the
body when turning the
water on to prevent
injury from scalding.
z In cold areas, if this
unit is not to be used
for a long time in
winter, please lift the
handle of the safety
valve and drain out
the water to prevent the water heater from being
damaged due to water freezing.
z If the power wire of
the electric water
heater is damaged, it
must be replaced
with a special wire
(provided by manufacturer) by after-sales
serviceman. No one is allowed to conduct the
dismantlement, except for professional technical
serviceman. In addition, don’t place flammable
objects near water heater.
The water temperature value indicated in the display screen is the water temperature around the detection
points. The outlet temperature of the water heater is normally higher than the temperature indicated in display
screen. Prior to use, you should drain the cold water first and then adjust the water temperature value you desire
to avoid scalding. During operation, the water temperature value indicated in the display screen is also the water
temperature around the detection points, is not the actual outlet temperature, and please don’t directly drain the
hot water.
The design of this unit adopts the “Shockproof Wall” patent technology of our company. In the normal situation
that it is connected with civil electricity, this unit will also effectively ensure your operation safety through the
technology filter of “shockproof wall” of this unit, even the in occurrence of deteriorated that exterior is
mistakenly connected to the civil electricity with earth wire that will result in a live earth wire. When you
perceive that there is a sensitive current, please remove the power plug, and immediately notify the after-sales
service department of our company for maintenance. Don’t dismantle this unit by yourself.

Location Environment
z Don’t place this unit in such environments that

vessel and water tube may break, which may
result in scalding and leakage.
z Don’t install this unit outdoors.

wall.
z Don’t install this unit in a place where the water
can’t be drained.
z If this unit is to be connected with a drain pipe,
connect the drain pipe with the opening of the
sewage pipe to avoid sewage spraying indoors.
The machine-configuration pipe of this unit is an integral part of the “shockproof wall” product, do not
dismantle it, otherwise our company will not take responsibility for any injury resulting from that.

contact the professional service provider designated by Haier to conduct installation and service. For the incorrect
installation of this water heater, our company will not bear any liability.
z Please ensure that the water is filled fully prior to powering it on, otherwise it may result in the fault of the
heating tube. Please ensure the power socket is in conformity with national standards and was reliably
connected to the earthing wire. It is strictly prohibited to use the water heater without reliable earthing.
z This electric water heater is equipped with a safety valve. For the safety of operation, changing the
installation position willfully is not allowed and it is prohibited to block the outlet of the safety valve.
z When ambient temperature is under 0, it may cause the freezing of the piping, which will result in the
breakage of piping and unavailability of use of this unit. Therefore it should be protected by emptying the
water inside the water tank. When the water heater is to be not used for over one month, please empty the
water inside the water tank and remove the power plug.
z If the water heater is soaked by water, you should have a technician approved by our company checked before
you use it again.
z Don’t place such inflammable articles as gasoline near the water heater, otherwise it may cause a fire
accident.

Installation Points of Attention
z Reserve a certain space during the installation of water heater to facilitate future maintenance. If the water
heater is inlaid in the pinch plate during installation period, the pinch plate at right side should be removable
to facilitate the dismantlement of the plastic cover for future maintenance.
z Ensure the inlet pressure of tap water is not less than 0.05MPa, and the maximum pressure is 0.75MPa.
z The electric water heater shall be installed indoors where the ambient temperature is over 0℃, and the
pipeline should be laid out correctly. The distance between the outlet of hot water and using point of hot water
should not be too far. If this distance is over 8m, heat preservation treatment should be made on hot water
pipeline to reduce the loss of heat.
z The wall to mount the water heater should be solid and secure, and it should be able to bear two times the
weight of the water heater filled with water. If it is a non-load bearing wall or a hollow-brick wall, take the
corresponding protection measures such as additional installation of a bracket, use of wall screw, or
installation of backing plate.
z The installation position of the electric water heater shall be chosen at places where is convenient for
operation, maintenance and there is a floor drain. If the water tank or water tube leaks, it should not cause
damage to the surroundings or underside facilities. The installation position should not be in the proximity of
a closet, bathtub, washing basin, and door frame, which may produce a depressing or unsafe feeling in the
user.
z Don’t connect the inlet & outlet tubes inversely. The safety valve should be installed at the designated
position, and it may not be changed willfully. The exhaust pipe should reach outside and not be blocked.
z Note: Due to the increased power of this kind of electric water heater, it is suggested that you should use a
power socket matching the plug of this unit (16A) during installation in order to ensure the normal working of
this unit and safety of your home.
Installation Method
z The installation shall be made by the installation
staff belonging to the after-sales service department
of our company or the designated installation staff.
z The water heater adopts wall-mounted type
installation.

Installation Method
z Prior to installation of the water heater, firstly ensure
the back wiring installation of water heater is secure.
Pre-install a safety valve and flow sensor as well as
one elbow thereof, then dismantle the bottom cover,
install the elbow equipped with safety valve and the
other elbow on the inlet & outlet pipes, respectively
(the handle of the safety valve is installed at one side
near the outlet pipe, as shown in Fig. 2), and insert the
terminal of the flow sensor into the socket of the flow
sensor. After the installation is finished, tighten the
drain pipe of the safety valve, and use sealing tape to
prevent leakage. Please increase the washer to the
articulated joint of the elbow during the installation of
the elbow.
z After the above installation is completed, determine
the installation position of the water heater. According
to dimensions shown in Fig. 1, use an electric drill to
drill four Φ12mm holes with 65mm depth in the wall,
insert the expansion hooks and expansion bolts into the
corresponding wall holes, secure the hooks and bolts,
raise the water heater, put the wall-mounted bracket on
the hooks and bolts, install the flat washers, back
wiring of water heater, and nuts onto the bolts in the
proper order (as shown in Fig. 3), and tighten the nut
and check if it is secured.
z In order to facilitate the installation and dismantlement
of water heater, it is suggested to additionally install
G1/2” movable nuts at the proper position of the inlet
& outlet pipes of the water heater, respectively.
Determine the position of water supply, and connect
the inlet & outlet water pipes and tap water pipe with
water consumption point, respectively. (Refer to Fig.
4) Fill the interior shell with water and check if the
water circuit leaks. It must be repaired if there is any
leakage. Place the signal wire into the decoration cover
of shockproof wall if there is no leakage, and re-install
the bottom cover.
z Note: Remove your hands until it is certain that the
wall-mounted bracket is mounted securely on the hook
to prevent the falling of the water heater, which may
result in bodily injury or property damage.

Installation Method
Connection and Operation of the Safety Valve
z Refer to the arrow direction shown on safety valve (the
arrow points to the water heater), and install the safety
valve with rated pressure of 0.75MPa (and with a joint of
G1/2”) on the inlet pipe. During the heating period of
power on of water heater, the relief hole of the safety
valve will release a small amount of water. It is a normal
phenomenon resulting from thermal expansion of water
inside this unit. Keep the relief hole to open to the outside
and do not block.
z Note: This kind of unit needs a drain pipe for the safety
valve, and the method follows: tighten one side of the
drain pipe onto the relief hole of the safety valve, the
drain pipe can be shortened or can be extended at your
discretion based on the actual situation, and connect the
other side of the safety valve with the opening of the
sewage to avoid spraying sewage indoors. The drain pipe
connected with the safety valve should be installed
obliquely maintaining a downward angle in an
environment free of frost.
z Turn on the power and try the unit after it is confirmed
that it is filled with water and there is no leakage at each
joint, and the power is in conformity with requirement.

Wall-mounted Installation Method:
The water heater is machine-controlled device before delivery, and users can adopt the following method to
change to a line-controlled installation:
z Firstly, push out the bottom cover in a the direction away from transparent decoration accessories to
dismantle the bottom cover, remove the display panel, disconnect the signal wire bundle, and choose a proper
position to conduct a line-controlled installation according to the length of the signal wire.
Determine the installation position of line-control box, use two Φ4mm screws and matching plastic
expansion tubes to fix the wall-mounted plate onto the wall. Insert the control panel box onto the
wall-mounted plate based on the matching way of wall-mounted plate and bottom box of the control panel.
Re-install the bottom cover after the above installation is completed.
z Note: The installation process of line-control is quite complicated, so it is suggested that the user should not
change the installation, and it should be done by professional serviceman who has received training to avoid
bodily injury or property damage.

Operation Method
After the installation is completed, for the first use of this unit, open the inlet valve and outlet valve of the tap
water, and close the outlet valve after the outlet opening flows with water continuously (which means the vessel is
filled). Check if there is any leakage at each joint, and insert power plug.
1. Startup
This kind of unit has a power-failure memory function, this unit has a memory storage function of such
information as set heating temperature, heating power, clock and current working status. When connecting with a
power supply, all symbols on display screen will be indicated for 2 seconds, and the system will enter standby
status (at that time it will only indicate the clock, and other buttons are disabled, except the ON/OFF Button) or
some working status under water storage mode before previous power-failure after that, and the corresponding
indicative symbols will be illuminated.
For example, this unit is in standby status as shown in Fig. 6, and only the ON/OFF button is enabled at that time.
2. Selection of Running Mode
Under startup status, for each press of “Prompt/Storage” button, this unit will be toggled between prompt heating
and water storage.
1) Water Storage Type
Under water storage mode of startup status, if the “water storage type” is illuminated, this unit will imply the
heating power is 2000W (the implied power value of 40/50L unit is 1500W). for each press of the mode button,
the system will cycle between the statuses of standard (indicates standard symbols), medium-temperature heat
preservation (indicates medium-temperature/heat preservation symbols), night power (indicates night power
symbol), preservation 1 (indicate preservations and symbol ), preservation 2 (indicates preservation and symbol
), preservation 1 + preservation 2 (indicates preservation and symbols ①.②) and intelligent (indicates
intelligent symbol), and the user can choose any working mode as the current working method of the system
according to demand. The corresponding setting content can be executed only after the current working method
has been chosen.
For example, the clock time is 07:00, setting temperature is 65 (the setting temperature and the actual
temperature will be indicated with alternative flashing), and the water use time of set preset 1 is 10:00. If you want
to use hot water at 10:00, this unit will automatically heat the water to the set temperature before 10:00. Otherwise
(the working mode shown in Fig. 7 is night power), the function of preset 1 will not be executed. At that time, use
the mode button to select preset and symbol , and the function of preset 1 can be executed, as shown in Fig. 8.

2) Prompt Heating Type
For saving waiting time of your bath, increasing heating speed of water heater, and enlarging outlet of hot water of
water heater, it is suggested that you select prompt heating mode to use this unit according to the following way in
different seasons:
z Operation in summer: Because the water temperature of tap water in summer is relatively higher (around
28). During the bathing period, you can directly select the prompt heating mode to heat the water, which
will save time while saving energy.
z Operation in spring, autumn and winter: During these three seasons, the temperature of tap water is relatively
lower, while the demand of hot water is relative higher during the bathing process, you can adjust the water
heater to “medium-temperature heat preservation” of “water storage type” or “preservation” mode to preheat
water. When the temperature of hot water is at a range of 35℃~40, you can use the “prompt/storage”
button to adjust the working mode of this unit to prompt heating mode to take your bath, thusly meeting your
demand of hot water while greatly shortening waiting time of your bath.
In addition, when there are many people to take bath, you also can adjust the water heater to “water storage
type” mode to preheat water, and then start the prompt heating mode to take a bath.
z Note: At the initial stage after the startup of prompt heating mode (the first 12min), the temperature of
outlet water will have minor variations. Please firstly adjust the water to the proper temperature and then take
bath in order to ensure the comfortableness of your bath.
Conversion Method of Prompt Heating Mode
Under any water storage type of startup status, press the “prompt/storage” button to enter prompt heating mode,
“prompt heating type” will be illuminated, the time will count down with the limitation of 30 minutes, and the
display panel will indicate the decrease in the range of 30:0000:00. If the system detects that the water flow is
greater than or equal to 2L/min, this unit will execute heating in the implied power of 3000W, and the “heating”
symbol will be illuminated. Within the working time period of prompt heating (30min), if the system hasn’t
detected water flow (e.g., the outlet valve is closed) or if the water flow is less than 2L/min, the working of the
heating tube shall be immediately stopped, and this unit will be under heat preservation status, the “heat
preservation” symbol will be illuminated, the count-down will continue. After the finish of the count down, it will
return to the previous working status (some water storage type prior to entrance of prompt heating mode. You can
use the “prompt/storage” button to re-enter into prompt heating mode.
3. Temperature Setting
Under status of startup (the display screen has no any digital flashing indication), press or to enter
temperature setting status to set the temperature (digital readout flashing quickly). The temperature value is
varied within the range of 3575 with intervals of 5. Under standard mode, you can directly use or
to adjust and set temperature; and under medium-temperature heat preservation mode, the implied
maximum heating temperature of this unit is 40, which can’t be adjusted.
4. Correcting the Clock
The clock is a twenty-four hour system, 60 minutes, and the second digit will be indicated flashing and the
second digital will travel.

After the startup of this unit, under standard and night power mode, press setting button to enter into clock
adjustment status, the hour digit of the clock will flash, press or to adjust the value to 11, press setting
button again, the minute digit of clock will flash, press or to adjust the value to 29, press setting button to
confirm the current setting, or the system will automatic confirm six seconds after non-operation and exit setting
mode (as shown in Fig. 10, this unit is under heating/heat preservation status of standard mode).
For example: As shown in Fig. 11, this unit is under standard mode of water storage type, and the status of
heating/ heat preservation of setting temperature of 65.
5. Standard Mode Setting
Under water storage mode after the startup of this unit, refer to the method mentioned in the second clause, press
the mode button to enter into standard heating/heat preservation working mode, and at this moment the standard
symbol will be illuminated. This unit will automatically start heating or enter heat preservation mode according to
setting requirement. Meanwhile this unit has an automatic thermostat control function, and it will enter heat
preservation status after the heating reaches the setting temperature. Under heat preservation status, when the
actual water temperature is less than 5, the setting temperature (at this moment the setting temperature is less
than 55) or 10℃ than the setting temperature (at this moment the setting temperature is greater than or equal to

6. Medium-temperature Heat Preservation Setting
Under water storage type mode after the startup of this unit, refer to the method mentioned in the second clause,
press mode button to enter the working mode of medium-temperature heat preservation (indicate the selected
medium-temperature/heat preservation symbol), at this moment the water heater will automatically select the most
energy-saving heat preservation temperature [at normal times, such temperature can meet the demands of hot
water with smaller amount, and it is not suitable to take bath. It shall exit the medium-temperature/heat
preservation status during bathing period, and press the mode button to enter into standard heating/heat
preservation mode, or use prompt/storage button to convert the working mode of this unit to prompt heating
(“prompt heating” will be illuminated), and at this moment this unit can heat the water to the setting temperature
within short time] at the range of 35℃~40 according to the temperature difference of the water temperature
and ambient temperature. Under medium-temperature/heat preservation mode, when the water temperature is
reduced to 35, this unit will begin reheating.
For example, as shown in Fig. 12, the system is in medium-temperature/heat preservation mode, at this moment
the actual water temperature is 52. When the actual water temperature is reduced to 35, the unit will
automatically reheat to 40, and meanwhile enter into heat preservation status, and the cycle is like this. In the
mode, the unit will imply the maximum heating temperature is 40, which can’t be adjusted.

7. Night Power Setting
Under water storage mode after the startup of this unit, refer to the method mentioned in the second clause,
continuously press the mode button, the unit will enter the working mode of night power (indicating the night
power symbol). If you want to use hot water in the morning, you can adjust the working mode of this unit to night
power, the unit will conduct heating/heat preservation at its default time period (startup at 00:00 and power off at
06:00), and the maximum heating temperature can be set and adjusted manually. In the mode, pressing the setting
button can be used to adjust theclock.
In addition, according to the provision of electricity consumption regulation at some areas, the electric rate at
nighttime is less than that of daytime. The selection of night power working mode will be more convenient and
economical.
Note: When you select the night power function, you should adjust the time of the water heater to local time. If the
time is inaccurate, it may result in the increased usage of electricity during peak times. (This clause only applies to
such areas practicing variable electricity rates)
For example: In water storage mode after the startup of this unit, press the mode button to select night power
working mode. When the clock on the computer panel indicates 00:00, this unit will automatically start heating,
and will enter into heat preservation status after the set temperature is reached, and the unit will conduct automatic
thermostatic control during the period from 00:00 to 06:00. (As shown in Fig. 13)
8. Intelligent Heating Function
When using the intelligent heating function, the system will conduct an analysis, processing and recording water
usage habits of the user during one week, and the system will conduct advance heating according to the recorded
water use time. In water storage type mode after the startup of this unit, continuously press the mode button to
enter intelligent working mode, the intelligent symbol will be illuminated, the system will enter into heating status
with the event of the first heating time after the current time, and the maximum heating temperature can be set
manually. During non-heating periods, the system will be in standby status, the clock and intelligent symbols will
be illuminated, and the unit will automatically start heating after the heating time is reached. If you want to leave
intelligent heating mode to enter other modes, you can activate the interface through any button on the control
panel, and use the mode button to toggle the modes.
Notes:
1) Under water storage type mode after the startup of this unit, intelligent heating function will automatically
memorize your water use habit. If you have taken bath during one week, the system will analyze and
memorize your habits of water usage, and will conduct advance heating before the same period of the next
week.
2) Only in the intelligent mode, can the intelligent functions be executed.
9. Reservation Time Setting
Reservation means that the system will automatically calculate the required time to heat to the setting temperature
according to default heating power of 2000W/1500W (40L and 50L units), and determine the starting time of
heating of this unit, and it will automatically heat to the set temperature before the set time of water use. Two
sections of reservation (reservation 1 + reservation 2) mean that the unit will conduct heating two times according
to setting requirements. The unit can manually set two levels of reservation times of water use, and the setting
time is based on the clock time on the computer panel. This unit will imply the reservation 1 of water use at 06:00,
and the reservation 2 of water use at 17:00.

For example, as shown in Fig.14, to set reservation 1 of water use to 10:30.
Under water storage type mode after the startup of this unit, continuously press the mode button to enter the
working mode of reservation 1, the reservation symbol and figure will be illuminated simultaneously, press setting
button to enter the hour setting status of reservation 1, the hour digit of reservation 1 will flash, and press or
to adjust to 10:00. Press setting button to confirm the setting and enter into the minute setting status of reservation
1. Press or to adjust the value to 10:30. At this moment you can press setting button to confirm the current
setting, or this unit will conduct automatic confirmation and exit the setting about six seconds after non-operation.
The time setting process of reservation 2 is similar to that of reservation 1, namely use mode button to adjust the
working mode of this unit to the working mode of reservation 2, and use setting button to conduct the time setting
of reservation 2.
Note: If this unit is under reservation status, and a large amount of hot water is demanded after the heating of
water has started, it will result failure reach to setting temperature after the water heater reaches the reservation
time. The unit will automatically delay the heating for half an hour and it will stop after that. If the actual water
temperature has reached setting temperature before the reservation time, and meanwhile it hasn’t reached
reservation time after the actual water temperature is reduced, this unit will conduct the calculation of heating time
again, and determine if it needs to conduct heating again. In like manner, if the voltage of electric network is too
low, the heating power of water heater will not reach 2000W/1500W, and it will result failure to reach the set
temperature value after the water heater has reached reservation time, this unit will automatically delay the
heating for half an hour and it will stop after that.
10. Standby
When bathing is finished, directly press the ON/OFF button to enter into standby status.
Warming Hints:
A. Under a specific mode after the startup of this unit, press setting button to set ON/OFF time of each mode,
and adjust the time through or . If it is in prompt heating mode, you can press setting button to adjust
hour and minute of clock; and under reservation mode, you can press the setting button to set the reservation
time. The setting button is disabled under medium-temperature/heat preservation and intelligent modes.
B. This unit has many safety protection devices, such as electricity leakage protection, over-temperature
protection, and short-circuit and open-circuit protection sensors, and it can realize full-circuit disconnection
and indicate fault codes. All fault protections are irrecoverable protection, and you must contact the after-sales
service department.
C. This electric water heater has a power-failure memory function, there is no need to reset heating power,
heating temperature, clock, and working mode after a power failure, and it will directly enter the same
working status of water storage type before the power failure.
D. In intelligent non-heating status, this unit is under standby status, and you can activate the interface through
any button on the control panel.
E. In order to ensure the normal use of this unit, it is suggested that it should be kept away from any source of
disturbance (e.g. mobile phone). If there is any disturbance, this unit will enter anti-disturbance protection
status, and it will automatically resume one minute after the source of disturbance has been removed.

F. In cold areas, when the ambient temperature is less than 20 below zero, this unit will automatically turn off
power and conduct protection, the display screen will indicate a flashing E3, please disconnect the power
supply. When the ambient temperature is higher than 19 below zero, the E3 will disappear after this unit is
turned on.
G. In water storage mode, according to your habits of water use, under the condition of meeting demands for hot
water, in order to help you to save energy, it suggested that you set the water heat to around at 45 in
summer; and 65 in winter. If there many people to take bath, adjust the setting temperature according to the
actual conditions (the maximum setting temperature is 75).
Operation Points of Attention
1. Don’t connect it to the power supply before the interior shell is filled with water, in order to avoid damage to
unit.
2. Prior to use, adjust water temperature to the proper temperature to prevent scalding. Water temperature of
over 50 may cause scalding.
3. During the operation process, check the safety valve once a month. The method is as follows: Stretch out your
hand into the rear side of the bottom cover (be careful not to injure yourself), pull the small handle of the
safety valve at the side of inlet pipe. If water flows out, the unit is under normal working conditions; and no
water to flows out, please contact your local after-sales service department. If there is any damage, please
replace the safety valve with same size.
4. This product is an enclosed water heater, and it can provide hot water for many points through the connection
of pipelines, such as a bathroom (bathtub, washing basin, and sprayer), and kitchen.
5. During the four seasons of one year, you may adjust the setting heating in a flexible way according to the
change of temperature. If the water heater is to be not used for a long time, you can close the valve of the
water pipe, open handle of the safety valve, push the mixing valve of water heater to the maximum hot water
level, and drain the water inside the interior shell. Before the use of second time, in order to avoid the
occurrence of injury or accident, it is suggested to open the valve of the hot water before the connection of the
switch of power supply. No smoking or other open fire around the opened valve at this moment. Meanwhile,
carefully check if each component of the water heater is in good condition, and it can be put into operation
after confirmation. Note: The opening of the drain pipe shall not be higher than the relief hole of the safety
valve, and the drain pipe should be inserting into the floor drain or other places where drainage is convenient.
6. If there is enough hot water, lower the setting temperature as far as possible, which will reduce heat loss and
reduce high-temperature corrosion and scale deposits, and prolong the service life of water heater.
7. Periodically request a serviceman to conduct a safety inspection, remove water scaling from the heating pipe,
and check the consumption condition of the magnesium bar, and it should be replaced if the loss is too large.
Cleaning and Maintenance of Unit
Declaration: This water heater only can be serviced and maintained by a qualified serviceman, and incorrect
method may result in serious injury, accident or property loss. You must remove the power plug before the startup
of the water heater or maintenance of water heater.
Note: Before requesting someone for service, please refer to Keys to Difficulties attached below to eliminate
obvious problems.
z Exterior Cleaning: Turn off power supply before the cleaning the water heater. Use a cloth and a small amount
of neutral cleaning agent to gently wipe the unit. Do not use gasoline or other solutions. Finally use a dry
cloth to wipe dry, and keep the water heater in a dry condition. Don’t use abrasives (such as toothpaste), acids,
chemical solvents (such as alcohol), or polishing agents.

z Interior Cleaning: In order to maintain the high-efficiency of the water heater, clean the heating tube and
interior shell once every three years. Don’t damage the exterior of the heating tube and the protective layer of
the surface of the interior shell. The magnesium bar should be replaced periodically according to local water
quality and usage habits.
z Cleaning of Interior Shell: You must remove power plug before the cleaning the interior shell. During the
cleaning period, close the inlet valve, open the outlet valve, remove the bottom cover, transparent decoration
accessories and decorative cover of the shockproof wall, dismantle the magnesium bar (at this moment you
can check the consumption condition of magnesium bar in order to replace it. Note: The magnesium bar is
sold separately), empty the water inside water tank, open the inlet valve to flush it for several minutes until
the clean water is drained, and re-install decorative cover of the shockproof wall, transparent decoration
accessories, and bottom cover.
