Your new Andrew James product comes with a 24 month guarantee and a 2 year xed
warranty, eecve from receipt conrmaon. Your receipt or order number is required
as proof of purchase date so it is imperave that you keep it safe. This guarantee only
applies if the item has been used solely for the use intended, and all instrucons have
been followed accordingly. Please note this product is for domesc use only and not for
commercial use.
Abuse of your product will invalidate the guarantee. Returned goods can only be
accepted if repackaged properly within the original colour product box, and presented
with the original receipt of sale/order number. This does not aect your statutory
rights.
Returned products must be cleaned and returned to us in as close to delivery condion
as possible.
If your product develops a problem within the rst 12 months of the xed warranty, we
will pay all shipping costs to have it returned to us. Aer 12 months the customer will
be liable for the cost of returning the product to us. We will then pay to have the
repaired/replaced item shipped back to the customer.

Customers are responsible for any taxes applied to our products when they are shipped
outside of the EU.
All of our prices are inclusive of VAT.
Once a product has been returned to us, we will aim to repair or replace it within 30
days of receipt.
The guarantee does not cover any defect arising from improper use, damage, build-up
of lime scale or repair aempts made by third-pares. Also, the guarantee does not
cover normal wear and tear of individual parts.

Electrical informaon
Please note:
It is extremely important that the wires or cores in the ex are connected to the correct
terminals in the plug. If the colour of the mains lead of the appliance does not
correspond with the coloured
markings idenfying the terminals
in your plug proceed as follows:
The Live (Brown) wire
connects to the right- most
live (L) terminal nearest to
the fuse.
The Neutral (Blue) wire
connects to the le-most
neutral (N) terminal.
The Earth (Green and
Yellow) wire connects to
the central, top most
earthed (E) terminal.
Warning:
If the appliance is double insulated indicated by the double insulated symbol:
it should not have an earth wire or earth connecon.
Plug
The plug must be protected by the correct AMP fuse; this will be indicated on the case
of the plug. Only BSI or ASTA approved fuses should be used. When changing the fuse
always replace it with a fuse that is of the same idencal rang as the original. If you
are unsure about which plug or fuse to use, always refer to a qualied electrician.
Please note aer replacing the fuse, ensure that the cover is correctly ed back onto
the plug. Never aempt to run the appliance if the plug does not have a cover. If a
moulded plug is ed and has to be removed take great care in disposing of the plug
and severed cable, it must be destroyed to prevent it from engaging into a socket. If the
supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by a service agent or a similarly qualied
person in order to avoid a hazard.

Safety guide
When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precauons should always be
followed including:
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilies or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instrucon concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall
not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made
by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and
its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years old.
Always ensure the voltage on the rang label corresponds to the voltage in your
home.
Check the power cord and plug regularly for any damage. If the cord or the plug
is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualied electrician or a service repair
centre. If in doubt please contact our customer service team.
The appliance is intended for domesc use only. Industrial or commercial use
will void the warranty. The supplier cannot be held responsible for injury or
damage if the appliance has been used for anything other than its intended use.
Incorrect operaon and use can damage the appliance and cause injury to the
user.
Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in any way. If the
unit has been damaged take the unit for examinaon and or repair by an
authorised service agent.
Do not immerse or expose the motor assembly, plug or the power cord in water
or any other liquid for any reason.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by
someone who is suitably qualied to avoid a potenal hazard.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Ensure that the
cord is not in a posion where it can be pulled or tripped over accidentally.
Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces and do not place the cord near hot
gas, electric burners or in a heated oven.

Use of an extension cord with this appliance is not recommended. However if it
is necessary to use an extension cord, ensure that the extension cord is equal to
or greater than the power consumpon of the appliance to avoid overheang of
the appliance and extension cord. Do not use any other appliance on the
extension cord. Do not place the extension cord in a posion where it can be
pulled on by children or animals or be tripped over. Always operate the
appliance on a smooth, even and stable surface. Do not place the unit on a hot
surface.
Always remove the plug of the appliance safely. Do not pull on the appliances
cord to remove the appliance plug from the electrical socket.
Never handle or operate the appliance with wet hands.
Appliance specic safety instrucons
When removing ice cream from the appliance, please ensure that you do not
damage the removable bowl or mixing blade of the appliance.
Do not switch the appliance on before installing the removable bowl and mixing
blade. The inial temperature of ingredients is approx. 25 ± 5˚c. Do not put
ingredients in the freezer before placing them in the ice cream maker as this will
block the mixing blade and damage the appliance.
Do not remove the mixing blade when the appliance is working.
Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hands, hair, clothing, spatulas and other
utensils away during operaon to reduce the risk of injury to persons and/or
damage to the machine. Any ice cream or sorbet that contains raw ingredients
should be consumed within one week. Ice cream tastes best when fresh.
To prevent freezer burn, always ensure that hands are protected when handling
the removable bowl.
If the freezer soluon appears to be leaking from the inner bowl, disconnue
use. The freezing soluon is non toxic.
Do not place the machine on hot surfaces such as stoves, hotplates or near open
gas ames.
Always make sure everything is thoroughly cleaned before making ice cream or
sorbet.

Disposal of the appliance

This means that this product must not be disposed of together with
ordinary household waste, as electrical and electronic waste must be
disposed of separately.
In accordance with the WEEE direcve, every member state must ensure correct
collecon, recovery, handling and recycling of electrical and electronic waste. Private
households in the E.U. can take used equipment to special recycling staons free of
charge. In certain member states used apparatus can be returned to the dealer where
they were bought on the condion you buy new products. Contact your retailer,
distributor or the municipal authories for further informaon on what you should do
with electrical and electronic waste.

Banana ice cream
Instrucons:
1. Mash the bananas unl smooth.
2. Mix the milk, double cream and sugar.
3. Pour the mixture into the freezer bowl with the paddle running.
4. Allow it to freeze unl the desired consistency is achieved.
Raspberry frozen yoghurt
Instrucons:
1. Mash the raspberries or puree them.
2. For a smooth texture remove the pips by sieving.
3. Add the sugar and natural yoghurt and mix together.
4. Pour the mixture into the freezer bowl with the paddle running.
5. Allow it to freeze unl the desired consistency is achieved.

buon
Aer connecng the appliance to the electrical supply, the machine
will enter the seng mode and will display “00:00”. Touch the power
buon during operaon to switch the power o.
MENU buon There are three working modes including “ICE CREAM”, “COOLING
ONLY” and “MIXING ONLY”. To enter back into the seng mode during
operaon hold this buon.
TIME + buon To increase the me of the mode. Holding the buon will increase the
me rapidly.
TIME- buon To decrease the me of the mode. Holding the buon will decrease
the me rapidly.
START/PAUSE Aer seng the menu and me, touch the START/PAUSE buon to
start the mode. Press pause to momentarily stop the mode.

Strawberry Ice cream
Instrucons:
1. Puree the strawberries.
2. Mix the sugar, cream and lemon juice into the puree.
3. Place the mix in a refrigerator to cool.
4. When the mix is cool, pour it into the Ice cream maker and mix unl it is rm.
Variaons:
Strawberries can be substuted for any so fruit. The sweetness of the mix will depend
on the fruit used, so remember to test it for sweetness before freezing.
Please note: the length of me that the mix takes to freeze depends on:
The quanty and composion of the mix. The addion of alcohol to the mix will
inhibit freezing.
The original temperature of the mix.
The room temperature will also aect the mix.
400g/ 1lb Ripe strawberries
200ml/ 8  oz Double cream
75g/ 3oz Caster sugar
1/2 Juice of a lemon

Recipes
Vanilla Ice cream
Ingredients:
Instrucons
1. Combine the cream, milk and vanilla essence in a pan and bring it almost to the
boil. Set it aside to cool slightly. Beat the egg yolks and sugar in a separate bowl.
2. Srring connuously, pour the milk/cream mix onto the beaten egg yolks and
sugar. Ensure that the sugar is completely dissolved.
3. Return the mix to the pan and over a very low heat; connue to sr unl the mix
coats the back of the spoon. Allow the mix to cool thoroughly.
4. Pour the mix into the Ice Cream Maker and mix unl rm (about 30 minutes).
Variaons:
Chocolate- Omit the cream and replace it with 100g/ 4 oz of plain chocolate that has
been melted in a basin over a pan of boiling water.
Nuts- add 100g/4 oz of chopped nuts to the ice cream mix just before serving.
500ml/1 pt Full fat milk
125ml/ 1/4 pint Single cream
5ml/1tsp Vanilla essence
150g/ 6oz Caster sugar
3 Egg yolks

Before use
Thoroughly clean all parts of the appliance that come into contact with the
ingredients. This includes xed bowl, removable bowl, mixing blade, transparent
lid, rell lid, measuring cup and spoon.
Place the appliance on a at level surface.
To avoid overow and waste, please make sure that the ingredients do not
exceed 60% of the capacity of the removable bowl. Ice cream expands when it is
being formed.
Preparing recipe ingredients
Prepare the ice cream or sorbet ingredients according to the Andrew James recipe book
provided or according to your own recipe.
Making ice cream
 Place the appliances plug into the electrical socket and switch the appliance on.
 Place the mixing blade into the removable bowl.
 Add the ingredients to the mixing bowl and sr, do not use a metal spoon.
 Place the removable bowl into the housing.
 Fit the transparent lid so that the rell lid is facing the front of the appliance and
turn an-clockwise so that it is securely t.
6. Press the “MENU” buon to choose the working mode, depending on the
quanty of ice cream it can take from 30-60 minutes to mix.
7. The mer will automacally set. To increase the me press “TIME+” and to
decrease the me press “TIME-” buon.
8. Touch the “START/PAUSE” buon to begin the process. To pause the funcon at
any me press the “START/PAUSE” buon.
9. To add extra ingredients such as ground nuts during the process li up the rell
lid and pour the ingredients into the removable bowl.
10. Aer the mixing is complete, remove the removable bowl and remove the ice
cream using a plasc scoop or wooden spoon.
11. Unplug the appliance and clean the ice cream maker before storage.

Other operaon’s of the appliance
Cooling only
Press the “MENU” buon unl you reach the “COOLING ONLY” mode which is set at
ten minutes. This will keep the ice cream cool before or aer mixing. To increase the
me press the “TIME +/-” buon.
Mixing only
Funcon is set at 10 minutes and can be used for alternave freezing of ice cream or to
thicken the ice cream.
Motor self protecon funcon
If the ice cream becomes hard, the mixing ability of the ice cream maker may become
hampered. The self protecng funcon of the motor will automacally start and
prevent the motor from burning out.

Storing the Ice cream
Remove the “removable bowl” and scoop out the ice cream into a suitable container.
Do not use a metal scoop as it will scratch the inside of the bowl. Store ice cream in the
freezer. Refer to appliance specic safety instrucons.
Cleaning and storage
Always switch o, unplug and dismantle the appliance before cleaning.
Never put the power unit in water or let the cord or plug get wet.
Do not clean the appliance with scouring powders, steel wool pads or other
abrasive materials.
All parts of the appliance are not dishwasher safe.
Removable bowl
Allow the removable bowl to reach room temperature before aempng to
clean.
Take out the removable bowl and wash the inside of the bowl, then dry
thoroughly. Do not immerse it in water.

Wash with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
Mixing blade
Remove the mixing blade from the power unit.
Wash and dry thoroughly.
Power unit
Wipe with a damp cloth, then dry.
Transparent lid and rell lid
Wash and dry thoroughly.
Store the appliance in a cool dry place away from other appliances.
