SDN Slide Gate Programming

Before powering up the motor, remove the control board dust cover and insert the AF43S receiver card.

To energize the display press Enter, to scroll use the < (left) or > (right) arrows. The display initiates at the

F1 command. Factory setting for Safety Functions is set as disabled.

Disengage the motor, position the gate halfway and re-engage the motor.

Select A1 & press Enter. From the Motor Size submenu select 1 for 400Kg, 2 for 600Kg, 3 for 800Kg or 4

for 1000Kg. Press Enter.

Factory Default setting is for a Left hand install, to change to Right hand, press Enter and scroll to F54, from

the submenu change from 0 to 1 and press Enter

Select A3 & press Enter. This will begin the Setup Calibration. Select 1 & press Enter. The gate will first

close and then reopen slowly; this will set up the limits and slow down positions automatically.

Adding Radio Transmitters

1. To enter the remote transmitters, < scroll to U1 and press Enter

2. Select a command for the user‟s remote. 1 = step – step (open – close) 2 = sequential (open – stop –

close- stop) 3 = open only, 4 = partial opening. Press Enter to confirm

3. The next available user slot (between 1 & 25) will start to flash. Press and release the remote button

to be programmed.

4. Press Esc to exit programming. You can clone this code from remote to remote. To add further users,

repeat the above steps, the next available user slot will be selected automatically, or you can choose

the slot number manually.

Adding P.E. Beams

To activate P.E. Beams, scroll to F2 (CX) & press Enter. Select the photocell operation, C1 = reopening

during closing, C2 = close when opening, C3 = partial stop, C4 = obstacle wait

Loop setup

For an opening loop, power from 10 & 11 (24V) and connect to 2 & 3P (open only, requires Auto Close)

For a safety loop, connect to 2 and either F2 (CX) or F3 (CY) whichever is available. Select functions as per

P.E. Beams

Auto Close

Scroll to F19 & press Enter. Select a value between 1 and 180 seconds

RIO

Insert the RIOCONN card with the power off. Power up and the RIOCONN‟s LED‟s flash BLUE.

Insert the battery into the accessory (do not put both batteries in at the same time, each unit is powered and

programmed individually), the LED‟s will flash RED. Press the PROG button on the RIOCONN for 2

seconds the LED‟s stay on. The accessory LED‟s will flash BLUE, press and hold the T1 button for 2

seconds. Programming is complete when the LED‟s turn off. Repeat this process for any additional

accessory. An E17 error may occur, turn the power to the motor off and then on again, there should be

nothing on the LED screen. If the RIOCEL is not aligned the CEL will beep and a “P1” error shows.

BX 243 and BX 246 Commissioning

Factory default is a LHS installation with WHITE cam as OPEN and RED cam as CLOSED

1. Insert the AF43s card, attach the power lead to the L & N terminals and turn power on

2. Set Dipswitch 1 to OFF and Dipswitches 8, 9 & 10 to ON

3. Open the motor cover,

4. Disengage the clutch by pulling the lever out,

5. Close the gate fully and set the RED cam to the CLOSED position (always close onto the body of the

micro switch not to the spring)

6. Open the gate fully and set the WHITE cam to the OPEN position

7. Set all the pots to 50% except for gate run speed which is 100%

8. Press the red button and program in the first remote.

9. Re-engage the clutch, press remote and let it set up.

For BX 246

Follow steps 1 and 2 from the BX 243 setup

3. Open front door

4. Disengage the clutch by turning anticlockwise

5. Set limits on rack, re-engage clutch, close the door and lock securely

6. Run 2 complete cycles

7. Turn on dipsw 6

8. Press and hold Ch1 till the light goes solid

9. Turn off dipsw 6.

10. Ensure the front door is shut and locked at all times

To change from LH to RH install Swap FA and FC plus M + N wires

1. Insert all wires between motors and CB, unlock motor using trilobed key

5. Turn on dipsw 9 & 10 (on the 10 dipsw assembly) and turn on dipsw 1 (on the 2 dipsw assembly) *

6. Select Ch1, then press desired button on transmitter

7. Press Open Motor button, if polarity is right then the gate will open, if not swap M + N

8. Open gate leaves to 45 degrees using Open Motor button

9. Press setup, each gate leaf will cycle and set themselves

You can change the home screen by going to INFO <ENTER> scroll to STANDBY MSG. <ENTER>

insert new msg. <ENTER> hold for at least ONE SECOND

BASIC PROGRAMMING

Connect 4 wires for a Stylo, or 3 wires for an Amico.

Insert the AF43S receiver card.

Connect power to L + N

Set the endstops and lock the gate at 45°

To enter the programming mode, press and hold <ENTER> for at least one second, thereafter

Press „>‟ to scroll through to the following functions and press <ENTER> to select

A1 Motor selection, select 1 for Stylo with joint arm, 2 for Stylo with straight arm, 3 for Myto, 4 for Frog J,

5 for Amico.

F1 Total Stop, change the value to „0‟

F2 CX, change to „0‟ if no safety beams are installed

F3 CY, change to „0‟ if no safety beams are installed

F46 Number of Motors, select „0‟ for 2 motors or „1‟ for single motor on M2

A2 Motor Test, change to „1‟ then press and hold „>‟ which will activate the M2 motor. Next, press and hold

the „<‟ for the M1 motor. The gates should OPEN; if they are closing you will need to swap the M+N

connectors.

A3 Calibration, change the value to „1‟ and the gates will automatically run and calibrate for all settings

during the opening and closing cycles.

ADDING DEVICES TO THE BOARD

U1 Remotes Add Users, change to „1‟ and the slot number will flash, press the remote button and the

number will go solid to signify successful programming of that slot.

Repeat this procedure for up to 25 User slots. Additional remotes can be cloned to each User slot.

F2 Safety Beams on CX, change to „1‟ for reopening during closing

F19 Auto Closing, change the values in the time range from 1 to 180 seconds. Ensure that the opening

device is connected to 2 + 3 (open only)

NOTE: to exclude the ENCODER FUNCTIONS if there are any PROBLEMS go to F11 and change the

value to „1‟.

DUPLICATING THE TRANSMITTER (CLONING)

Your first transmitter sends a code to the receiver, after that you need to clone from a programmed

transmitter to a new transmitter.

1 – On the new transmitter, press and hold both buttons together until the LED flashes quickly (about 5 secs)

2 – Now press the button you wish to activate (the LED stays on)

3 – Within 10 seconds, place the active transmitter to the key ring position of the new transmitter and

press the programmed button. The LED will flash 3 times to indicate memorisation

BOOM GATE SETUP G4040 & G2080

Boom gates should be assembled so that if the arm is hit it moves away from the motor casing

After assembling the barrier balance the arm at 45°

Turn on Dips 8, 9 & 10 (Brake) and bridge 2 + C1 (this is the basic setup)

Lock the barrier arm using the back panel key switch; the front panel also needs to be locked to engage the

motor safety microswitch

Bridge 2 + 3, if the barrier opens, the motor has been set correctly for a Left Hand installation. If the arm

goes down, the motor polarity is reversed and the M (Brown) & N (Blue) terminals need to be swapped.

Also swap the limit switch terminals FA (White) & FC (Red).

AUTOMATING THE BARRIER

CAME Remotes

Turn off the power. Insert the AF43S card, turn the power back on.

Keep the PROG button pressed on the control board, the LED will flash. Press the transmitter button to be

memorized, the LED will stay solid to signal memorization. Clone from a working remote to a non-

programmed remote

LOOP

For Free to Exit, connect to 2 + 3 to open the gate. Power from 10 + 11

For tailgating connect to 2 + C5 (immediate closure)

P.E. Beam

Remove bridge from 2 + C1

Insert Common to 2 and NC to C1, 24V power from 10 + 11

Ensure Dip 7 is OFF (Master/Slave)

AUTO CLOSE

Turn on Dip 1 and set the A.C.T. for required time (clockwise to add time)

ACCESS CONTROL

2 + 3 for Opening, turn on Dipswitch 1 and set closing time on the A.C.T. trimmer.
