Installing the battery
The ATH-ANC1 requires one AAA battery for operation (included). Use only disposable AAA alkaline
batteries. Do not use rechargeable batteries.
1. Movepowerswitchtothe“OFF”position.
2. Turn control box over to access battery compartment.
3. Openbatterycoverbyslidingthecoverinthedirectionofthearrowonthecover.
4. Insert AAA battery, observing correct polarity as marked.
Place the battery on top of the plastic tab. (Use this tab for easy battery removal.)
5. Closebatterycompartmentcover.

1. Connect the headphone cable to the extension cable if needed, making certain the plug is firmly
seated.

4. Toactivatenoise-cancellingfunction,movethepowerswitchonyourcontrolboxtothe“ON”
position;powerindicatorshouldlight(red).
Ifyoudonotwishtousetheactivenoise-cancellingfunction,movepowerswitchtothe
“OFF”position.Note:Youcanstilllistentoaudiowiththenoise-cancellingswitchinthe“OFF”
position.
5. Turnonyouraudiodevice.Volumeshouldbesetatalowlevelatfirst;adjustasnecessaryon
audio device.
For noise-cancelling only
1. Toactivatenoise-cancellingfunction,movethepowerswitchonyourcontrolboxtothe
“ON”position;powerindicatorshouldlight(red).Inthiscase,thereisnoneedtoconnectthe
headphonecabletoanaudiodevice;simplyturntheheadphonesonandwearthem.
After using
•Afteryouhavefinishedusingyourheadphones,movethepowerswitchtothe“OFF”position.
•Removebatterywhenyouwillnotbeusingtheheadphonesforanextendedperiod.
•Foldtheheadphones(athinges)forcompactstorage—seeillustration.
