WELCOME TO FUTURE PLAYER
What is FuturePlayer? On one level, FuturePlayer is simply a great-
looking, easy-to-use digital media player. However, beneath its simple
exterior lies a powerful and fully customizable desktop media
instrument.
Whether you are new to digital audio and video, or you have been
creating, downloading, and broadcasting your own sound files for
years, FuturePlayer offers you a world of possibilities.
The purpose of this section is to introduce you to FuturePlayer. We
have included walkthroughs for each and every FuturePlayer feature.
If you have a specific question or problem, check the DataPlay
Website(http://www.dataplay.com).
If you are ever in doubt about the function of a specific button or
control in FuturePlayer, hold your mouse pointer over the item in
question and a description will appear in the bottom of the main video
display.

INSTALLING SOFTWARE ON PC
System Requirements
Pentium 133MHz or faster CD-ROM drive
USB port 20MB free hard disc space
Window 98 SE / ME / 2000 / XP
Insert the Installation CD into the CD-
ROM drive. The left picture appears
when inserting the CD.
Click “OK”.
Install DataPlay Bass Components
You can install programs as follows :

With FuturePlayer, you can :
Play audio and video files from your DataPlay media, hard drive, or
CD-ROM (in a variety of formats, including: MP3, WMA, MP2, MP1, WAV,
CDA, WMV, ASF, MPEG, AVI, MIDI, and AIFF).
Manage content on your DataPlay disks (copy, unlock new content, etc.)
Tune in streaming audio broadcasts from the Internet
Collect and organize songs into custom playlists
Wake up or remind yourself of appointments using FuturePlayer's
SmartAlarm features
Customize the look and feel of FuturePlayer using Skins
Add a visual component to your listening experience with Visualization

“DataPlay Bass Components”.

You can only transform MP3, AAC, QDX files to CKMP3, CKAAC, CKQDX
files using the above program.
The capacity of media is required more than that of music to be record.
Note : When connected to
PC, click the
EJECT
button on the
FuturePlayer.
CONNECTING THE UNIT TO PC
Connect the USB cable(Provided) to the USB port of your computer.
Type
A : USB port on the Panel of PC
Type
B : USB port of IDP-100
Connect the USB cable to match the direction.
Connect the USB port on the Panel of PC.
Turn on the IDP-100, remove the protective cover of the USB port, and connect
the USB cable.
“USB CONNECTED” will appear on the LCD of the player.

PLAYING THE FUTURE PLAYER
1. Double Click the Future Player icon on
the PC windows.
2. Click
PLAYLIST .
3. Click “ADD”.
Then select files or folder to be play.
If you want to play CKMP3, CKAAC or
CKQDX musics recorded in the disc, select
the “ALBUM” or “Playlist” of DataPlay.
If you want to play MP3 musics or other musics
saved in the PC, select the “File” or “Folder”.
Also You can play selecting the “LOAD”.

4. Starts playback automatically.
If not, click the PLAY button.
5. To pause, click the PAUSE button.
To stop playback, click the STOP
button.

SAVING THE GENERAL FILES OF PC TO THE PLAYER

1. Make a new folder in the
DataPlay program.
2. Copy the files or folder to be
copied.
3. Save files to new folder in
the DataPlay.
Note : You can not play any other file format except CKMP3, CKAAC,
CKQDX on the disc inserted in the IDP-100. Also is not displayed
on the LCD of the iDP-100.
4. Click the “REC” button on
the DataPlay.
REC on the right of DataPlay
blinks. After recording files,
REC disappears.
Without this step, files are not
recorded.

1. Double Click the Future Player icon on
the PC windows.
2. Stop the playback.
3. Click the Copy Content to DataPlay...
after clicking SAVE .
4. Select files or folder to be saved.
To remove, click the “REMOVE” button.
5. Click SAVE .
CKMP3 files are saved in the album by the
name of
MyMusic .
To rename the “MyMusic”, change it on the
desktop. Red indicator on the player blinks
during saving.
Note : If PC is not operated for a long duration of
time, retry converting files after turning the PC
off and then on.
Note : You can not play CKMP3, CKAAC or CKQDX
files uploaded from the player to PC.
