About MPP function (MPP is the brief for
"Multi Personal Preference Level ")
By this function, the settings of the picture's
colour, brightness and contrast will be stored
in each channel from 1 to 30, in other words,
the settings will be back automatically
whenever you choose a channel.

Warnings and Cautions
Warning
Caution
High voltages are used in the operation of
this television receiver. Do not remove the
cabinet back from your set. Refer
servicing to qualified service personnel.
Do not drop or push objects into the
television cabinet slots or openings.
Never spill any kind of liquid on the
television receiver.
To prevent fire or
electrical shock hazard,
do not expose the
television receiver to
rain or moisture.
When the television receiver is not used
for an extended period of time, it is
advisable to disconnect the AC power
cord from the AC outlet.
Avoid exposing the television receiver to
direct sunlight and other source of the
heat. Do not stand the television receiver
directly on other products which give off
heat. E.g. video cassette players, audio
amplifiers.
Do not place your television on an unstable
cart, stand, shelf or table. Serious injury to an
individual, and damage to the television, may
result if it should fall.
Do not block the ventilation holes in the back
cover. Adequate ventilation is essential to
prevent failure of electrical components.
Do not squash power supply cord under the
television receiver.
If the television is to be built into a
compartment or similarly enclosed, the
minimum distances must be maintained. Heat
build-up can reduce the service life of your
television, and can also be dangerous.

Screen likely damaged by external shock.
When using the TV monitor, following
precautions should be taken.
Do not press or hit the screen face.
Do not write, paint or affix anything on the
screen.

Connecting the Power
Connecting the power with following steps;
1. Connect AC power cord to AV Adapter.
2. Connect AC Adapter DC output (DC 12V) to DC IN 12V of the TV monitor.
3. Connect AC power cord into AC outlet.

To Install Batteries Into the Remote Control
1. Remove the battery compartment cover.
2. Insert two size AA batteries (1.5 V) according to "+" and "-" polarity markings inside the battery
compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment cover.
NOTE:
When remote control doesn't work in normal or stable condition, or it can't control operation of the
TV set, replace the batteries. (exhausted batteries may leak substance detrimental to the remote
control, replace them immediately when they are weak.)

Plug & Play
By PLUG & PLAY, when the TV set is powered on for the first time, it will automatically search and
preset all the receivable TV positions.

1 Plug the power, connect the antenna, and press the MAINS ON/OFF button on the control panel, the
TV set will automatically search the positions.

2 About 10 seconds after automatic search, it will be returned to normal TV status.
If no position is found, the TV set will show the message below. Check if the antenna is properly
connected.

After disconnecting the main power and connecting the antenna properly, turn on the TV set again.
It will automatically search the positions from the beginning.
Caution to dealers!
This function comes only when the TV set is powered on for the first time.To restore this function
before this product is delivered to customer, proceed the operation as described below.

1 Hold the TV/AV button on the control panel for more than 2 seconds. The message
MEMORY CLEAR" will appear on the screen.

2 Press the MENU button on the control panel while the message "MEMORY CLEAR" appearing on
the screen.(less than 5 seconds.) And then the display of "CLEARING xx%" will be on. When it is
appearing "MEMORY CLEARED", the message will disappear. And now, the PLUG & PLAY function
is restored.
NOTE:
When you are proceeding the operations above, the settings of VOLUME LOCK, TUNING LOCK,
PRIVATE POSITIONS and SKIP CHANNELS will be canceled. And the PERSONAL in the VIDEO
setting will reset to factory settings.

Once you connect the AC power cord to the
AC power outlet, the TV set will be in stand-by
status and there is no picture on the screen
but the STAND-BY and POWER indicator
lights red. You can turn on the TV set by
pressing any of the following buttons:
The POWER ON/OFF button on the remote
control.
The "P” or “P” button on the remote
control.
Any NUMERIC button from 0 to 9 on the
remote control.
Any button on the control panel except MENU.
While the TV set is turned on, the STAND-BY and
POWER indicator will light green.
To Set the TV set in Stand-by Status.
While a TV program is on, press the POWER
ON/OFF button on the remote control or the
MAINS ON/OFF button on the control panel,
and the TV set will shift to stand-by status
immediately. At this time, there is no picture on
the screen. And the STAND-BY and POWER
indicator will light red.
NOTE:
While the TV set will not be used for a long
period of time, pull off the power plug.
Auto Shut Off
This function is available in the two conditions
below:
1)10 minutes after no signal is input in TV mode.
2) 2 hours after the TV set is turned on by the
ON TIMER function and no operation is done.
To Switch Input Mode
By pressing the TV/AV button, you can select
one input mode from TV, AV1or AV2(DVD).
Position Selection
There are 256 (0-255) positions to select. You
can select the positions by the two operations
described below.
To Select Directly
Position 0 to 9
Select a position by pressing any of the
NUMERIC buttons.
Position 10 to 99
Press the DIGIT button and then "--" will be
displayed on the screen. Input 2 digit number
by pressing the NUMERIC buttons
sequentially.
Position 100 to 199
Press the DIGIT button twice, and then"1--"
will be displayed on the screen.Input 2 digit
number by pressing the NUMERIC buttons
sequentially.
Position 200 to 255
Press the DIGIT button twice, while "1--" is
displayed on the screen, press the DIGIT
button again and then "2--" will be displayed
on the screen. Input 2 digit number by
pressing the NUMERIC buttons sequentially.
To Make Position Up/Down.
Press Pto switch to the next position.

Alternate
Press the ALTERNATE button to switch between
the previous position and the current position.
For example, the position you are watching now
is 4, and the position you watched previously is 2.
If you press the ALTERNATE button, Position 2
immediately appears.
Volume Control
Press the VOLUME(+/-) button to turn up or turn
down the volume.
Mute
Should you wish to mute the sound (eg. While
talking on the telephone), press the MUTE button.
To switch the sound back on, press the MUTE
button again.
Bass
Press the BASS button to switch this function ON
or OFF.
Recall
Press the RECALL button to display the On-
Screen indication, including the selected channel
position, colour system, sound system, time and
other information.
Still
While the program is on, Press the STILL button
to freeze the picture on the screen. Press any of
the buttons to release it. You can also operate
this function by menu operation. (See page 21.)
ON Setup
Press the ON SETUP button to decide the sets of
ON TIMER and ON POS. to be ON or OFF. This
function is available only after the ON TIMER and
ON POS. functions have been set.

There are 8 video status to select.
Press the VIDEO SELECT button to choose any of the options of "PERSONAL", "DYNAMIC",
"NATURAL" and "GAME".

Colour and Sound System
Setting of the Colour System

SIF SYSTEM button
Generally, the colour system is in the AUTO status. In case of abnormal colour when receiving a TV or
video program, you may press the COLOUR SYSTEM button repeatedly until the best picture is
obtained.
Each time the COLOUR SYSTEM button is pressed, the colour system changes as follows :
COLOUR:AUTO COLOUR:PAL COLOUR:NTSC COLOUR:NTSC4.43 COLOUR:SECAM
The colourless picture may be showed on the screen while it is in AUTO system, for NTSC4.43 is not
the standard broadcast system. In this state, if you want to select NTSC4.43 system, press the
COLOUR SYSTEM button.
NOTE:
Colour system setting can not be stored while the TV set is not in PRESET status. It can be stored only
when it's set in SEMI or MANUAL in PRESET menu. (See page 24.)
Setting of the SIF System
The setting of SIF system is workable in TV status only.
Usually, the SIF system is set to the position of "AUTO". In case of unclear sound or even no sound of
a certain position, repeatedly press the SIF SYSTEM button until the best sound effect is reached.
Each time the SIF SYSTEM button is pressed, the SIF system changes as follows:

NOTE:
While in the normal TV status, the setting of SIF system will be automatically stored.

In the PICTURE menu, you can adjust these functions: COLOUR(from 0 to 63), BRIGHT(from 0 to 63),
CONTRAST(from 0 to 63), TINT(from -32 to +31), SHARPNESS(from 0 to 31), FINE TUNING(BW/FW),
NOISE HUNT(OFF, LOW, MID and HIGH) and WHITE TONE(NORMAL, WARM and COOL).

In this way, the data adjusted of picture
(COLOUR, BRIGHT and CONTRAST) will be
automatically stored in PERSONAL of the video
setting. When the VIDEO SELECT button is
pressed to select PERSONAL, the display will
shift to PERSONAL status automatically, and
recall the preset status.
NOTE:
The product provides MPP function in the
Positions 1~30. With this function, the data of the
picture setting you have adjusted in each position
will be stored in PERSONAL of the position. That
means there is a different and independent PER-
SONAL setting in each position. It enables you to
enjoy the programs conveniently.

ON TIMER
With this function, you won't miss any
opportunity to watch the preset position.
° Leaving the TV set on stand-by status after
setting the ON TIMER, when the set time is
reached, the TV set will automatically start on.
[NOTE: The position you have set in
"ON POS." menu (page 17), or the one
watched last will be shown on automatically.]
° While a TV program is on, if the set time is
reached, the display of "WARN" or the preset
position will appear on the screen.
(According to the presetting you have made.)
° While you are out, if the TV set turns on
automatically when the set time is reached, for
the sake of safety, it will shift to stand-by
status automatically about 2 hours later if no
operation is done.
° Once ON TIMER has been set, the TIMER
indicator will light yellow.

the POWER ON/OFF button on the remote
control or the MAINS ON/OFF button on the

1. When it is 1 minute before the OFF time you

in TIME menu will display on the screen to
take your attention.
2. If you want to know the status of TIME when
the program is on, press the RECALL button
and the information will appear.

In the FEATURE menu, you can adjust these
functions: LIMIT VIEW, MIRROR TURN, ZOOM,
STILL and 16:9.

Input the password (8888) by pressing the
NUMERIC buttons to display SELECT
menu. (The password can not be modified.)

5 Press the VOLUME(+/-) button to set time
desired. The time to select increases or
decreases by 30 minutes each time when the
VOLUME(+/-) button is pressed. The maximum
setting is 240 minutes.

NOTE:
If the time is set on "0", the picture will be black
out immediately. To return to normal TV status,
set it to "OFF". Or input the password in the
black out picture on the screen. If you disconnect
the power of the TV set after having set LIMIT
TIME(30~240 minutes), when you turn on the TV
next time, it will immediately turn in LIMIT TIME
mode.
