3.2 Installing/Removing the battery pack

To install the battery pack:

1. Slide the lock / unlock latches into the unlock position.

2. Insert the battery pack as shown into the battery compartment

until it clicks into place.

3. Slide the lock / unlock latches into the lock position.

CAUTION! Only use batteries that are approved by an authorized

dealer. All batteries are not the same and therefore

should not be treated as such. Using the wrong battery

could cause serious damage to your notebook pc and

yourself through toxic emissions.

CAUTION! Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced.

Replace only with the same or equivalent type recom-

mended by the manufacturer. Dispose of used batter-

ies according to the manufacturer's instructions. Never

remove the battery pack while the power is on as this

may result in data loss when the system loses power.

To remove the battery pack:

1. Slide the lock / unlock latches into the unlock position.

2. Slide and hold the battery relesase latch into unlock position,

then remove the battery pack.

NOTE: Never attempt to install/remove the battery pack while the

notebook pc is turned ON, as this may result in the loss of

working data.
