The Rockwood 1500 Watt Heat Gun offers a convenient 3-position switch featuring OFF, 572°F
[300°C] and 1022°F [550°C] with matched Low & Hi fan settings. Perfect for many automotive & hobby
projects where fast, fan-forced, concentrated heat is required.
SPECIFICATIONS
Power Requirements: 120 VAC, 60Hz, 1500 Watts.
Temperature Range: 572°F [300°C] and 102F [550°C]
Power Cord: 16 Gauge with polarized plug, 6’ long

SAFETY INFORMATION
The following explanations are displayed in this manual, on the labeling, and on all other information
provided with this product:
FIRE HAZARDS!
Never block the air inlet at the rear of the housing or cooling vents at the sides
of the housing.
Never block the Nozzle output. Keep a minimum distance of 3” from work
surfaces when using Heat Gun.
Do Not
direct hot air flow toward flammable materials or vapors.
Do Not
leave the Heat Gun unattended when running or while cooling.
Place the Heat Gun on its side on a non-flammable surface when done using.
Allow to cool a minimum of 1/2 hour after shutting off before storing.
Keep an approved fire extinguisher in the area while the Heat Gun is in use
SHOCK HAZARDS!
Do Not
expose Heat Gun to wet or damp conditions.
Do Not
expose the power cord to hot air flow. If the power cord or Heat Gun
housing becomes damaged, discontinue use immediately.
RESPIRATORY HAZARD!
Some materials or coatings may emit hazardous vapors when heated. In these
cases, use NIOSH approved respiratory protection while using this Heat Gun.
Use in a well-ventilated area.
EYE INJURY HAZARD!
Eye protection should be worn at all times when operating this tool. Use ANSI
approved safety glasses. Everyday eyeglasses are NOT safety glasses.
READ INSTRUCTIONS
Thoroughly read and understand all product safety information and instruc-
tions before using the Rockwood Heat Gun.
Keep these product instructions for future reference.
BURN HAZARDS!
The Rockwood Heat Gun can quickly cause serious burns. Wear protective
heat-resistant gloves when using this Heat Gun.
Do Not use as a hair dryer.
Do Not allow the hot air flow to be directed at parts of the body, other
persons or pets.
Do Not touch the Hot Air Discharge Nozzle or surrounding areas of the gun
housing. Allow a minimum of 1/2 hr after shutting off before touching Nozzle.
Do Not allow children or inexperienced persons to handle or operate the
Heat Gun
OPERATION
Verify that the rocker style Power Switch on the Gun Body Handle is in the center, “O”, OFF
position.
Plug power cord into a 120 VAC, 60Hz., 20 AMP, grounded outlet.
To select the “LOW” 572°F [300°C] setting, move the rocker style Power Switch to the down
“I” position. This will also select a lower Fan speed.
To select the “HIGH” 1022°F [550°C] setting, move the rocker style Power Switch to the up “II”
position. This will also select a higher Fan speed.
To select the “OFF” position, move the rocker style Power Switch to the center “O” position.
This will also turn off the Fan.
Avoid concentrating the heated air in one location. It is best to move the Nozzle around to
heat a work surface evenly. Using a Non-Contact, Infrared Thermometer for reading surface
temperature is highly recommended.
