For all those who like to spend the day together.
A family car cannot be of a high enough quality. Or roomy enough, or econo-
mical enough. The list of requirements could be continued ad infinitum –
and that is exactly what our engineers and designers did in the development
of all model versions of the Caddy. The front end has the characteristic
Volkswagen family face, and the quality, efficiency and flexibility set new stand-
ards – in a car that families simply deserve.

Every trip will be a short family holiday. The high-quality, hard-wearing
materials and meticulous workmanship down to the very last detail create an
atmosphere that will make you feel at home. There is a high level of operat-
ing convenience: the steering wheel, instrument cluster and controls are both
attractive and clearly laid out. Last but not least, the low interior noise level
makes sure that not only parents have a relaxing journey.
Could there be a better reason
to build such a comfortable car?

If chaos reigns at home again, everything should
at least be shipshape when you’re under way.
Before the Caddy proves itself on everyday trips, we have already put it to
the test. The outcome of this: a well thought out storage compartment concept
with many pockets, drawers, nets and holders. Whether in a 5 or optional
7-seater – there is a perfect place for everything. Even large or bulky items pose
no problem as the seats in the passenger compartment of many versions
can be single and double folded – and, for the first time, completely removed.
The interior of the Caddy has simply been designed with families in mind.

The Caddy Maxi is full of surprises. It is amazingly roomy, offering a com-
fortable amount of space for seven persons and plenty of luggage as well. It
is extremely versatile, as the second and third row of seats can also easily
be removed. Finally, it is still exceedingly manoeuvrable and agile, in spite of
being 47 cm longer in comparison with the Caddy.
Family and friends are very welcome –
in the Caddy Maxi.

The Caddy reacts in a split second – to leaves,
wet weather and to situations no one was expecting.
The Caddy has comprehensive safety equipment for a reassuring driving
experience: the Electronic Stabilisation Programme and, depending on the
trim level, up to six airbags are standard. The options available include
bi-xenon headlights with dynamic cornering lights and turning lights which
provide optimal illumination of the road on bends or when turning off at
intersections with poor visibility.

Highly efficient engines: from engineers
who value the future as much as you do.
The exceptional versatility of the Caddy is also evident under the bonnet. Ultra-
modern TSI and TDI engines with common rail technology are available in
various output categories – they all set standards in economy and dynamics
and comply with the Euro 5 standard. The dual clutch gearbox (DSG) avail-
able as an option is a further highlight contributing to fuel efficiency, as the
two partial gearboxes of this transmission change gears automatically and
smoothly without interruption of power flow. This innovative gearbox is stan-
dard with the 125 kW* 2.0 l TDI engine.

One of the most attractive places to go:
the Caddy 4MOTION.
Explorers great and small are given ideal support by the Caddy 4MOTION and
Caddy Maxi 4MOTION. Permanent all-wheel drive ensures more traction
and better propulsion in wet or arduous road conditions. You have the choice
between two 2.0 l TDI engines with common rail technology, whereby the
more powerful version can even be combined with the automatic dual clutch
gearbox DSG. Hill Start Assist is standard to help when driving off on inclines.

The Caddy with BlueMotion Technology.
Sets the standard for efficiency: The Caddy with BlueMotion
Technology is powered by pure innovation. A package of
measures comprising a start/stop system, regenerative
braking, cruise control and aerodynamic optimisation is
combined with a fuel-efficient engine. You have a choice
of four economical power units for this: a 1.2 l TSI engine with
77 kW
1)
, two 1.6 l TDI engines with 55 kW
2)
or 75 kW
3)
and
a 2.0 l TDI engine with 103 kW
4)
. For the diesel engines with
75 kW
3)
there is a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox or with
103 kW
4)
a 6-speed dual clutch gearbox which changes gear
practically without interruption of torque. A Caddy with
BlueMotion Technology can offer average fuel savings of up
to 0.5 litres per 100 km and reduce the CO
2
emissions by
up to 13 g/km compared to a similarly equipped Caddy with-
out BlueMotion Technology – regardless of the selected
engine type. The Caddy with a 1.6 l TDI engine and 75 kW
3)
,
for example, has an average fuel consumption of just
5.1 litres per 100 km.

mode, fuel consumption for petrol (Autogas) in l/100 km: urban from 10.7 to 10.6 (from 13.7 to 13.6); extra-urban from 6.8 to 6.7 (from 8.6 to 8.5); combined, from 8.2 to 8.1 (from 10.5

In addition to models powered purely by diesel or petrol,
the Caddy and Caddy Maxi are available with two alternative
drive versions. These models enable you to significantly
reduce fuel and running costs – and they are low-pollution
vehicles as well. The Caddy EcoFuel primarily uses natural
gas (CNG) and has a petrol reserve of 13 litres. The 2.0 l EcoFuel
engine develops output of 80 kW
1)
. The Caddy BiFuel,
however, has a conventionally sized petrol tank and an ad-
ditional Autogas tank (LPG) – this results in a total range
of up to approx. 1,100 kilometres. It is equipped with a 75 kW
2)
1.6 l BiFuel engine. Due to more favourable tax rates, both
natural gas and Autogas are more affordable than diesel or
petrol and are available at many filling stations through-
out Europe. Both engines comply with the Euro 5 exhaust
emissions standard, and many local authorities and energy
providers offer subsidies for purchasing natural gas vehicles.
All these advantages benefit your purse – and neither the
large load compartment nor driving safety are restricted in
any way.

The passenger compartment is equipped with full trim and
many useful features – like the storage compartment under-
neath the driver’s seat, a glove compartment lid and stowage
nets in the roof frame. During your journey, the standard
side/head airbags protect the driver and the front passenger.
Thanks to these safety measures, you can lean back, relax
and enjoy your favourite music in a pleasant atmosphere: the
“RCD 210” radio system with six loudspeakers is standard
in the Caddy Trendline, as is a multifunction display which
supplies useful information about the vehicle and the
journey while you are driving.

painted bumpers, black roof rails, and darkened rear windows.

Comprehensive equipment and still so much space – a
special combination of comfort, variability and compactness
makes the Caddy Highline a vehicle for people with special
requirements. This can be seen at first glance by the exclusive
16" alloy wheels. The interior of the Caddy Highline fea-
tures a 2-zone “Climatronic” air conditioning system as stand-
ard, also a multifunction steering wheel and a “Plus”
multifunction display. The heated seats for the driver and
front passenger are upholstered in high-grade “Alcantara” –
the second row is upholstered in the same material. For an
even more comfortable sitting posture on long journeys in
particular, both front seats have individually adjustable lum-
bar support (lordosis support) and for your safety, should
the worst, front and side/head airbags are standard for the
driver and front passenger.

The Caddy Tramper.
For all those who find being on the road the best place to
be,
there are the Caddy Tramper and the Caddy Maxi Tramper.
Both models have clever solutions that will make you eager
to set off. For example, the seats in the passenger compart-
ment – upholstered in hard-wearing “Takato” cloth – can be
folded down easily and, with the help
of the 1.1 m x 2.0 m
folding mattress, converted into a
comfortable sleeping sur-
face. Curtains, stowage bags that screen the side windows
and a magnetic curtain on the rear window darken the back
of the vehicle all round to make sure you have a good
night’s sleep. LED spots in the tailgate, which can also be
opened from the inside, create a pleasant, cosy atmosphere
in which to relax after an eventful day. A hook enables you to
keep the tailgate ajar for fresh air during the night. Like
the mini and magnetic torches, it belongs to the “Tramper”
equipment. The stowage bags and drawers under the front
seats help you keep everything tidy, also the roof rails, which
serve as a basis for roof attachments available separately.
The “Camping” package – available as an option –turns the
Caddy Tramper and the Caddy Maxi Tramper into small
holiday apartments. It includes a 2.3 m x 2.0 m tent that is
simply secured to the tailgate with press studs. The table
and two folding chairs belonging to the package can be set
up quickly, and the ventilation grille is easily fitted on the
window in the sliding door. Together with the practical insu-
lated box to keep food and drinks warm or cold, you are
perfectly equipped for all journeys.

Families and active holidaymakers have for many years
appreciated all that the Caddy has to offer. As an anniversary
model, the Caddy Edition 30 will now also appeal to indi-
vidualists and those interested in recreational sports. Devel-
oped on the basis of the Caddy Trendline, it makes a striking
impression at first glance with a distinctive design high-
lighted by exclusive 17" “Budapest” burnished alloy wheels
partially painted black; and by high-gloss black paint on
many body parts, for example on the roof and roof rails. A
very special ambience awaits you inside with features such
as partial leather trim with flannel grey stitching and standard
Alcantara upholstery. The Caddy Edition 30 also has an
exclusive drivetrain: in addition to the usual Caddy diesel
and petrol engines

and dual clutch gearbox (DSG) is available.

It is the exterior design in particular that makes the Caddy Edition 30 the most striking
Caddy we have ever built. Many elements have a high-gloss black finish to contrast
with the vehicle’s paint finish: for example, the roof and roof rails, and the inserts in
the side rubbing strips and number plate light mounting. The 17" burnished alloy
wheels are also partially painted black, and the rear window and rear side windows
are fitted with privacy glass. The exterior paint finish, which includes attachment
parts and bumpers, is available in Candy White and twelve other colours.
Caddy Edition 30.
Interior. One interior highlight of the Caddy Edition 30 is the standard Classicgrey Alcantara seat upholstery. Partial leather trim
with flannel grey stitching also belongs to the standard specification. It includes leather trim on the steering wheel, gear lever
knob and gaiter, and on the handbrake lever. Other standard features include an air conditioner and the “RCD 210” radio system.

you get in and out of your vehicle that
you drive a very special Caddy.
17" “Budapest” alloy wheels. These have
