ENSURE IT LINES UP PROPERLY.
2.2 REMOVE THE OUTLET COVERS
USE A SCREWDRIVER AND REMOVE ANY OUTLET COVERS. WHEN REPLACING COVERS, A LONGER SCREW MAY BE
REQUIRED TO ALLOW FOR THE THICKNESS OF THE BACKSPLASH.
2.3 CLEAN THE BACKSPLASH
USE A TOWEL, RAG OR SCRUB BRUSH WITH A CHEMICAL CLEANING SOLUTION LIKE A GLASS OR MULTIPURPOSE CLEANER
TO REMOVE ANY OIL GREASE OR BLEMISH THAT WILL KEEP THE BACK OF THE MOSAIC TILE FROM STICKING TO THE
SURFACE. THE SURFACE SHOULD BE COMPLETELY DRY AND CLEAN BEFORE TILE IS ADHERED. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE
ENOUGH SPACE TO MOVE AROUND WHEN INSTALLING THE BACKSPLASH. REMOVE ANY ITEMS FROM THE COUNTERTOPS
BEFORE BEGINNING THE INSTALLATION. YOU MAY EVEN NEED TO MOVE A STOVE, MICROWAVE OR REFRIGERATOR.
NOW YOU ARE READY TO INSTALL YOUR PEEL & STICK MOSAIC TILES.
3. INSTALLING YOUR MOSAIC TILES
A. PEEL OFF HALF THE BACK OF A MOSAIC TILE AND LINE IT UP WITH THE COUNTERTOP. AN ADJUESTMENT MAY BE
NEEDED IN THE SPACING TOP TO BOTTOM TO ALLOW FOR A PROPER FIT BETWEEN THE COUNTER AND THE BOTTOM
OF THE MIRROR.
B. BEGIN INSTALLING THE MOSAIC TILES FROM LEFT TO RIGHT COMPLETING THE BOTTOM ROW FIRST.
C. UPON INSTALLED THE FIRST SHEET OF MOSAIC TILE, YOU SHOULD INSERT THE CROSS TO MAKE SURE THE NEXT SHEET
WILL BE LOCATED IN LINE.
AFTER INSTALLING YOUR FIRST ROW OF MOSAIC TILES YOU CAN BEGIN INSTALLING THE TOP NOW. TAKE YOUR TIME AND
MAKE SURE YOU ALIGN THE JOINTS BEFORE YOU APPLY PRESSURE.
TIPS:
1. DON’T APPLY PRESSURE UNTIL YOU ARE SURE THAT THE MOSAIC TILE IS LINED UP CORRECTLY;
2. ONCE YOU ARE HAPPY WITH HOW YOUR JOINTS ARE LINED UP, USE YOUR GROUT FLOAT TO APPLY MORE PRESSURE
TO ASSURE GOOD ADHESION TO THE WALL.
QUICK TIPS!
1. ADJUSTING THE JIONTS
FOR UNEVEN WALLS YOU CAN MAKE SIMPLE ADJUSTMENT TO BETTER LINE UP YOUR JOINTS USING THE TECHNIQUE
DESCRIBED BELOW.
USING YOUR UTILITY KNIFE IN BETWEEN THE JOINTS, CUT THE PEEL & STICK BACKING OF THE INDIVIDUAL ROW YOU
WISH TO ADJUST. THEN SIMPLY LIFT THE END OF THAT ROW AND REPOSITION. REAPPLY PRESSURE ON THE SURFACE TO
SECURE IT WHEN YOU ARE HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS.
