BEFORE YOU BEGIN
The CONTROLLER SYNC BUTTON is located on the very top of the Scout near the
Micro USB charge port.
The CONTROLLER LED INDICATOR is located on the face of the Scout near the top.
The DONGLE LED INDICATOR is located on the front of the DONGLE.
The DONGLE SYNC BUTTON is located on the front of the DONGLE.
• The MICRO USB CHARGE PORT is located on the very top of the Scout.
Syncing the Scout
1. Connect the DONGLE to your SNES Classic console. The DONGLE LED INDICATOR will
begin to slowly ash BLUE.
2. Press the CONTROLLER SYNC BUTTON once to begin syncing the Scout.
3. The CONTROLLER LED INDICATOR will light up BLUE when the Scout is synced. If the
Scout is not synced, the CONTROLLER LED INDICATOR will slowly ash BLUE.
Once You've Synced
• Holding the CONTROLLER SYNC BUTTON for 2 seconds will turn OFF the Scout.
• Holding the CONTROLLER SYNC BUTTON for 2 seconds will turn ON the Scout.
• Pressing the CONTROLLER SYNC BUTTON will WAKE UP the Scout if it has gone to sleep.
Pressing any other button or the D-PAD on the Scout will also cause it to WAKE UP.
Charging Your Scout
1. Connect the provided MICRO USB CHARGE CABLE to your Scout. Connect the other end
to a USB power source.
2. A solid RED light on the CONTROLLER LED INDICATOR indicates the Scout is charging.
3. The RED light will turn off when the Scout is fully charged.
Note: You can use the Scout even while it is charging.
4. A slowly ashing RED light on the CONTROLLER LED INDICATOR means the Scout is low
on battery.
Helpful Hints
• The Scout can operate up to about 30 feet from your SNES Classic console.
• After 5 minutes of no activity, the Scout will go to SLEEP.
• If the Scout is ON and not synced, the CONTROLLER LED INDICATOR will ash BLUE for
20 seconds, then go to SLEEP.
• When the DONGLE is connected to your SNES Classic console, pushing the DONGLE SYNC
BUTTON will cause the DONGLE LED INDICATOR to ash BLUE.
• The Scout will automatically connect after the initial syncing.
