TOOLS NEEDED
The following tools (not included) are needed for as-
sembly and making adjustments:
Screwdriver, drill, drill bit.
6 mounting screws to suit particular installation.
UNPACKING
This product requires some assembly. The following
items are packed with the Woodrack:
Uprights 2
Racks 12
Spacers 6
Screws 2 (installed already)
ASSEMBLY
WARNING: Proper installation (paying particu-
lar attention to wall fastening) is important to
prevent risk of collapse.
ASSEMBLING RACKS
There are six racks for one upright. To assemble racks
to the upright, please follow the following steps:
1. Take out one rack and adjust the locking bracket (3)
to the perpendicular position to the rack. (See Fig. A)
2. Position the rack on TOP of the upright (1). The slot-
ted side (a) of the upright must face the rack. (See
Fig. B1)
NOTE: The BOTTOM of the upright has a small screw
(6) from the end (See Fig. B2). Make sure the direction
of the upright is correct.
3. Lift the locking bracket and tilt the rack, and then
slide the rack down the upright. (See Fig. C)
4. Slide the rack down the upright until it reaches the
slot at the bottom of the rack. Locate the tab (b) into
the slot and lower the locking bracket (See Fig. D1).
Then the rack can be securely mounted onto the
upright (See Fig. D2).
5. Fit the remaining 5 racks to each upright in a similar
way. Lock each rack in the central slot in the 5
groups of slots in each upright.
MOUNTING ON WALL
WARNING:
• Before installing the Woodrack check that the
intended wall is vertical. A wall which leans for-
ward could result in pipes or other objects rolling
off the racks.
• Both Woodrack uprights should be mounted
at the same level. If the floor is level this can be
done by measurement; use a spirit level if the
oor is sloping.
Find a solid mounting location and ensure you are fixing
to structural supports NOT to wall sheeting. Space the
uprights to suit wall frames around 4´ to 6´ (1200 mm
to 1800 mm suggested) apart. For storage of very long
material, use additional wood storage racks.
Fit the spacers onto the upright aligning with the mount-
ing hole, and fasten to the wall using the recommended
screws (not supplied). (See Fig. E1- E4)
Mounting to masonry: Use 1/4˝ (6 mm) masonry
anchors suitable for fixing 1-1/4˝ ~1-1/2˝ (30-40 mm)
thickness.
Mounting to timber: Use 12 g hex head wood screws,
at least 3˝ (75 mm). Where required, install vertical
supports.
Mounting to a steel shed: Ensure racks are mounted
to structural framework. If steel, use min. 1/4˝ (6 mm)
bolts. If wood, refer to Mounting to timber. Install
floor to roof verticals if required – secure to the steel
sheet with fasteners every 12˝ (300 mm).
TOOL FREE ADJUSTMENT
Following the following steps, the racks can be easily
adjusted without tools:
1. Lift the locking bracket and tilt the rack. (See Fig. F)
2. Raise or lower the rack to new position. (See Fig. G)
3. Rotate the rack to engage the tab in the slot. (See Fig. H)
4. Lower the locking bracket, and the rack is securely
mounted to the upright. (See Fig. I1, I2)
WARNING:
The two racks at the same level should be locked in the
same corresponding slot.
