QM-BW (Back Wall, 8°) Quick Mount Bracket
for the SR-8101, SR-8200, SR-1020, SR-1030, SR-1290, and SR-1590 Cinema Surround Loudspeakers
These brackets are designed for QSC’s SR Series surround loudspeakers (excluding the
SR-5152). The QM-SW is for side wall mounting and has no downward tilt. The QM-BW is for
back wall mounting and has an 8° downward tilt angle. QSC cinema surround loudspeakers
are supplied with the mating half of the Quick Mount bracket already installed. Read these
instructions carefully before beginning and follow them exactly.

1 Bracket (QM-SW or QM-BW)
You will need the two retaining bolts, which are included with the loudspeaker. In addition,
you will need appropriate hardware (e.g., bolts, anchors, etc.; these are not included with the
loudspeaker or bracket) for attaching the bracket to the wall surface. The loudspeaker mounting
procedure appears on the next page.
Important Safety Precautions
• Read these instructions and keep a copy for future reference.
• Strictly follow and heed all instructions and warnings.
• Consult a licensed and qualified professional engineer to devise and/or review an appropriate wall mounting scheme.
• Do not install the bracket or loudspeaker near any heat sources, such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including
amplifiers).
• Do not use any attachments, accessories, mounts, or brackets that are not specified or approved by QSC, LLC.
• Never use the QM bracket for mounting a QSC SR Series loudspeaker in an overhead (ceiling) location.
• Refer all service to qualified personnel. Service is required if the bracket or loudspeaker have been damaged in any way.

Loudspeaker installation must be performed by qualified personnel. Incorrect installation may be unsafe and can result
in property damage, personal injury, or death.
WARNING! Before placing, installing, rigging, or suspending any loudspeaker product, carefully inspect all hardware,
suspension, cabinets, transducers, brackets, and associated equipment for damage or defects. Missing, corroded,
deformed, or inadequately load-rated components can weaken the installation, placement, or array and cause a
safety hazard. Correct any such defects immediately. Use only hardware that is rated adequately for the load; include
an appropriate safety factor for possible short-term overloading. Never exceed the load rating of the hardware or
equipment. Consult a licensed and qualified professional engineer for determining a safe and proper way to mount the
brackets to the wall.

Installation
1. The wall mounting surface where the
loudspeaker is to be installed must be
structurally sound and have the strength
to support at least five times the weight of
the loudspeaker.
Place the bracket in the intended mount-
ing location, with its open end facing
down. Using it as a template, mark the
locations of the wall attachment hard-
ware. Install the appropriate attachment
hardware. Fasten the bracket to the wall
and make sure it is securely attached
before you install the loudspeaker on it.
2. Lower the loudspeaker onto the bracket.
Make sure the loudspeaker bracket mates
properly with the wall bracket. Check the
fit and alignment before you install the
retaining bolts.
3. Install the two retaining bolts and tighten
them securely.
