Dosing Aid - before the first use...
Check if the water hardness degree "soft" preset in the washing machine matches your regional
w

spond with the preset basic dosing amounts of the washing machine.

If you want to reset the dosing values you saved and go back to the default values…
Adapt the preset water hardness if necessary
The water hardness of your washing machine is set to "soft". Check with your regional water supply authorities or by using the test stripe provided
with your washing machine, if the hardness of your water is also "soft". Refer to the picture on the right to understand how to interpret results from
the stripe test. If your regional water hardness is not "soft", adapt the water hardness setting of the washing machine as follows
:
Do this for all three programme groups mentioned above; it is sufficient to save a dosing value for ONE programme per group - it will be auto-
matically saved for the other programmes of this group. For example: if you save the dosing value for Wool/Handwash”, it will be automatically
saved for “Delicates”, too.
If you want to change the saved dosing values (because you changed the type of detergent you use, for example)
…proceed as described above; the previously saved dosing value will be replaced by the new one for the programme group you selected.
To check and eventually change the preset detergent dosing value, proceed as follows:
First select a programme belonging to the group for which you want to check the preset dosing value.

oad the laundry, close the door and select the desired programme.
Select any options, change temperature and spin speed if you want, adjust the soil level and set a start delay, if desired.
Note that…
you must set any options and the start delay BEFORE you press the “Start (Pause)” button for the first time (before step ).
the durations for programmes with small maximum loads (like Delicates, Wool, Handwash etc., see in separate programme chart) are not up-
dated when you press the “Start (Pause)” button for the 2nd time (step ).
the programme duration can differ from the time which is indicated on the display after the wash load has been identified. It can be influenced
also by factors like reduced inlet water temperature, which leads to a longer heating time. While the programme duration is newly calculated,
the display shows an animation.
if you want to add more laundry after you have already pressed the “Start (Pause)” button for the first time (step ), proceed as follows:
press the “Reset/Drain button for at least 2 seconds: the door will unlock after a while, and you can add the laundry.
Close the door and just press the “Start (Pause)” button again; the washing machine will repeat the load estimation and display the dosing
value accordingly.
if you load the drum with laundry which is already wet, do not use the full amount of detergent the "Dosing Aid" function recommends you,
but only 2/3 of the recommended amount.

Dosing Aid - how to use it...
Y
our washing machine is “intelligent”: it will calculate the recommended detergent quantity for the selected programme, depending on the soil
level of your laundry and the size of your wash load. It will also adapt the programme duration, water and energy consumption accordingly.
