For Running Gear/Cylinder Rack 042 537
WARNING
ELECTRIC SHOCK can kill.
Do not touch live electrical parts.
Turn Off wire feeder and welding power source and
input disconnect device.
Disconnect input power conductors from
deenergized supply line BEFORE moving welding
power source.
CYLINDERS can explode if damaged.
Keep cylinders away from welding and other
electrical circuits.
Never touch cylinder with welding electrode.
Always secure cylinder to running gear, wall, or
other stationary support.
FALLING EQUIPMENT can cause injury
and damage.
Lift unit only with proper equipment and correct
procedures.
If using lift forks, be sure forks extend out of opposite
side of unit.
Do not place any part of the body under the unit while
it is suspended.

1 Vertical-Style Cooling Unit
2 Gas Cylinder
Secure gas cylinder and/or cooling
unit with chain.
3 Wire Feeder
Holes are provided to install various
models in different locations; see
Figures 4 and 5.
4 Optima Synergic Control
5 10-24 x 1-1/4 in Screw
6 Nut
Four installation locations are pro-
vided; select location, and install
two supplied mounting screws as
shown. Hang control on mounting
screws.
7 Horizontal-Style Cooling Unit
8 Circular-Style Cooling Unit
Place cooling unit on flat part of
base; allow for proper clearance
between unit and welding power
source.
9 Welding Power Source
XMT Models:
Unscrew four metal feet from rub-
ber mounting pads on bottom of
unit, position unit so holes align,
and secure by reinstalling metal
feet from bottom of base.
Maxtron And Arc Pak Models:
Position unit so four mounting holes
align and secure using supplied
screws, nuts and lock washers.
Maxtron uses 1/4-20 x 1/2 in
screws, and Arc Pak uses 3/8-16 x
1 in screws.

Drive Model)
Locate four mounting holes on tray
and install using supplied stand-
offs, 10-24 x 5/8 in screws and lock
washers.
7 20 Series Wire Feeder
Select one of three installation loca-
tions (A, B, or C) and install using
supplied stand-offs, 10-24 x 5/8 in
screws and lock washers.

Select one of four installation loca-
tions; A thru C use six mounting
holes, and D uses five holes. Install
base to feeder tray using supplied
1/4-20 x 1/2 in screws, nuts and
lock washers. Install wire feeder
onto Turntable (see Turntable Own-
ers Manual).

4 XR Wire Feeder
Remove feeder right side panel,
and open left access door (see wire
feeder Owners Manual). Remove
and discard both existing center
mounting screws.
Select one of three installation loca-
tions (A, B, or C), align both holes,
and install using supplied 1/4-20 x
1-1/4 in screws, nuts and lock
washers. Reinstall side panel and
close access door.
5 50 Series Wire Feeder
Select one of three installation loca-
tions (A, B, or C) and install using
supplied 10-24 x 1-1/4 in screws,
nuts and lock washers.
