N-05C is waterproof/dustproof, however, do
not allow water to seep in or dust to get in the
FOMA terminal. A

The battery pack, adapter, desktop holder and
the UIM are not waterproof/dustproof. Do not
use th
em in humid locations such as bathrooms,
an
d avoid exposing them to rain. If you carry
the FO
MA terminal close to your skin, sweat
may ca
use internal components to corrode and
result
in malfunction. The FOMA terminal cannot
be rep
aired in the following cases: the water
exposure detection
sticker shows water exposure;
tests
determine that corrosion has occurred due
to wat
er exposure, condensation, or perspiration.
T
hese cases are not covered by the warranty, and
any re

at the subscriber's expense.
â¿Ÿ
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth (such as an eyeglass

Rubbing the display of the FOMA terminal with
a dry cloth may scratch the display surface.
â¿
The display surface may be stained if moisture
or dirt is left on it for a long period.
â¿
Never use chemicals such as alcohol, thinners,
benzene or detergents as these agents may
erase
the printing on the FOMA terminal or
cause discoloration.
â¿Ÿ
Occasionally clean the connection terminals
with a dry cotton swab, etc.
Soiled connectors may result in poor connections,
loss of power, or incomplete charging. Wipe with
dry cloth or cotton swab.
W
hen c
leaning, take care not to damage connectors.
â¿Ÿ
Do not place the FOMA terminal near an air
conditioning vent.
Condensation may form due to rapid changes in
temperature, and this may cause internal corrosion
and malfunction.
â¿Ÿ
Do not put excessive pressure on the FOMA
terminal or battery pack.
Do not put the FOMA terminal in a bag filled with many
objects or sit down with it in a hip pocket. Excessive
pressure
may result in malfunction or damage to the
display, internal cir
cuit or the battery pack, etc.
Also, if an external device is connected to
the external connector terminal (earphone/
microphone terminal), excessive pressure may
result in malfunction or damage to the connect
or.
â¿Ÿ
Do not scratch the display with metallic objects.
Doing so may cause scratches, malfunction or damage.
â¿Ÿ
Read the separate manuals supplied with the
battery pack and adapter carefully.
Handling the FOMA Terminal

terminal), do not insert at an angle or pull the cord
.
Doing so may cause malfunction or damage.
â¿Ÿ
Do not close the FOMA terminal with the
