Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the TwinMOS® Tablet PC ‘TwinTAB- Your Personal Entertainer”.

"TwinTAB" A Unique & ultra slim design Tablet PC with large and Full HD display and powered by

fast & powerful Dual core chip. Multi touch Capacitive Display and lighter weight will give you a

fresh and new experience about Tablet PC. It's supporting millions of free apps and will entertain

you with a fresh and improved latest version of Android platform 4.1 [Jelly Bean].

Firmware Upgrade

Firmware is the combination of persistent memory and program code and data stored in it.

Firmware such as the program of an embedded system may be the only program that will run on

the system and provide all of its functions. Common reasons for updating firmware include fixing

bugs or adding features to the device. Here is the procedure to upgrade the firmware of TwinTAB.

Requirements

To upgrade the firmware if the TwinTAB-T102D1 the basic requirements are as bellow-

a. TwinTAB Compatible Firmware file [available on www.twinmos.com to free download]

b. Rockchip Device Manager Tools [available on www.twinmos.com to free download]

c. Windows based PC/Laptop [Windows XP is recommended]

Precautions

During this upgrade all your data on the tablet will destroy permanently. So, before execute this

upgrade its better practice to take backup for all the important and necessary data. There is some

other important issues may help to upgrade the firmware successfully-

a. Before the upgrading, please make sure the device has at least 1/4 of battery charged.

b. 4GB microSDHC memory card is required.

c. During upgrading, install the driver automatically when system requires.

d. All the data will be erased after the upgrade/restoring. Please keep backup all the data

before upgrading/restoring.

e. Wrong version of firmware will cause malfunction in the device or totally unworkable.

Firmware Upgrade Steps:

1. Download the firmware “TwinTAB-T7283GD1_V1.1” package from www.twinmos.com

2. Extract the “Zip/Rar” files

3. Copy the “update.img” file in to the root of the memory card [microSD] and insert it on to the Tablet. The

memory card will detect the memory card automatically.

4. Now, from the apps menu select “update”. Please refer the bellow screen shot-

5. Select “Local Update” and “Confirm” the operation as bellow screen shot-

6. After confirming the operation It will search and detect the firmware from the memory card and will ask

the final confirmation. Select “Yes” to proceed the upgrade. Please refer the bellow screen shot-

7. Once the operation has been confirmed it will restart the tablet and will show the bellow screen and will

take few moments-

8. Now it will show the upgrade process status and once done it will restart the tablet. After restart it will

take some time and will load all the necessary files and settings to be ready. Please wait until the

homepage come. That’s it!! You are done. Now remove the memory cards from the slot and you can enjoy

the latest stable version of TwinTAB-T7283GD1.
