WARNING
Explosions could result in death or serious injury:
Installation of this transmitter in an explosive environment must be in accordance with the
appropriate local, national, and international standards, codes, and practices. Please
review the approvals section of the 753R reference manual for any restrictions associated
with a safe installation.
Do not remove the transmitter cover in explosive environments when the circuit is live.
Check that the instrument is installed in accordance with non-incendive field wiring
practices.
Process leaks may cause harm or result in death.
Install and tighten process connectors before applying pressure.
Electrical shock can result in death or serious injury.
Avoid contact with the leads and terminals. High voltage that may be present on leads
can cause electrical shock.
WARNING
The 753R is designed for monitoring purposes only.
Do not use for control or feedback applications.
The 753R relies on 3rd party cellular networks for communications.
The 753R may not function properly due to cellular network failures.

Rosemount 753R with Integral 3051S Pressure Transmitter
Measurement Transmitter Installation.
1. Install the 3051S according to the 3051S Quick Installation Guide included in the 753R
packaging.
2. To achieve best signal strength, the 753R should be installed so the antenna is
approximately 18 in. (457 mm) from the side of the tank or other obstructions.
Mounting and Positioning of the 753R.
1. Housing Rotation Consideration: To improve field access to wiring, or to obtain a better
view of the LCD display:
a. Use the 3/32 in. hex wrench to loosen the housing rotation set screw (See Figure 6 on
page 13).
b. Rotate the housing clockwise to the desired location. If the desired location cannot be
reached because of thread limits, rotate the housing counter clockwise to the desired
location (up to 360° from the thread limit).
c. Tighten the housing rotation set screw to 20 in.-lb.
2. Remote Power Supply (RPS) Positioning consideration: For devices powered by an
RPS, the RPS should be positioned for maximum sun exposure. It is important to tighten
the set screws after positioning the solar panel. (See Figure 7 on page 13).
3. It is recommended that the device be installed in a vertical and upright position. For best
signal reception, the antenna should be positioned vertically.
Power Application
1. Remove the housing cover labeled FIELD TERMINALS.
2. Ground the 753R housing according to local electrical codes.
3. For units with an RPS see Figure 9 on page 14:
a. The + lead should have been factory connected
b. Connect the - lead (black wire) to the terminal marked 6–24 VDC by sliding the female
quick connect fitting onto the male quick connect fitting.
4. For user-supplied 6–24 VDC line power see Figure 10 on page 14:
a. Route the power supply leads through the 753R housing conduit entry using the
appropriate strain relief and cable glands.
b. Attach the + lead to the terminal marked 6–24 VDC (+).
c. Connect the - lead to the terminal marked 6–24 VDC (-).
d. The RPS should never be connected for this option.
