INTRODUCTION

Thank you for your purchase of the Muse Aroma Diffuser. Please read these instructions carefully and

save this manual for future reference. By breaking up a mixture of water and essential oils into

millions of micro-particles, this aroma diffuser helps you relax at home. Oregon Scientific designed

this product to provide you with three well-known holistic relaxation methods: aromatherapy, color

therapy and sound therapy.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WHEN USING ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS, ESPECIALLY WITH CHILDREN PRESENT, BASIC SAFETY

PRECAUTIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:

DANGER

• Always follow instructions in Care and Maintenance when cleaning the unit.

• To avoid electric shock and/or a fir hazard, do not immerse the unit in liquid.

• Do not pull the electrical cord to move or unplug the unit.

• Do not disassemble the unit when it is plugged into a power supply or in operation.

• To avoid electric shock and/or a fire hazard, do not clean the power jack with water detergent

or any other liquid.

• Do not plug or unplug the power cord with wet hands.

WARNING

• Do not operate this unit in a manner other than its intended use or beyond the technical data

specified. Improper use can be a danger to health or life.

• This product is not intended for use by children or persons with diminished physical, sensory or

mental capabilities, unless they receive supervision or instruction concerning use of the unit by

a person responsible for their safety.

Read all instructions before using this product.

PRECAUTIONS

DOs

• Handle the unit and porcelain cover with care

• Use with filtered tap water rather than distilled water. Add sufficient water before adding

essential oil

• Pour maximum 160ml of room temperature tap water into the water tank.

• Remove dust regularly with a dry cloth. Accumulated dust poses a potential fire hazard.

• Place the unit on a dry, level, stable and water-resistant surface with safe surroundings.

• For better mist distribution in the room, place the unit on a raised surface with the mist

directed into an open area.

• Children and pets should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the unit or its

components.

• Use only a few drops of essential oil. DO NOT exceed the suggested amount.

• When disposing of this product, ensure it is collected separately for special waste treatment.

• The contents of this manual may not be reproduced without the permission of the

manufacturer.

• Use only with essential oil. Add sufficient water before adding essential oil.

DON’Ts

• DO NOT turn the unit upside down without removing the porcelain cover, plastic cover and

liquid content from the water tank

• DO NOT let water, detergent or any other liquid enter the opening to the fan

• DO NOT block the ventilation inlet at the bottom by placing the unit on soft surface such as

cushions, or carpet.

• DO NOT tamper with the unit’s internal components. This invalidates the warranty.

• DO NOT subject the unit to excessive force, shock, dust, temperature or humidity.

• DO NOT cover the unit with newspaper, curtains etc. when in operation.

• DO NOT direct the mist towards any electrical appliance, furniture, plant, paint or heat source.

• DO NOT inhale mist directly from the mist outlet.

• DO NOT clean or touch the diffusing plate during operation.

• DO NOT obstruct the air inlet or air outlet of the unit.

• DO NOT use water from which people have been drinking.

• DO NOT place the unit directly on the floor. Flooring may be damaged if in direct contact with

the mist for a prolonged period.

• DO NOT use in humid locations.

• DO NOT fill the water container beyond the maximum mark indicated.

• DO NOT immerse the unit in water. If you spill liquid on the unit, dry it immediately with a soft,

lint-free cloth.

• DO NOT clean the unit with abrasive or corrosive materials.

• DO NOT use water over 40 °C.

NOTE

• Images in the manual may differ slightly from actual product.

• When the water level is low, the unit automatically stops and the LED light flashes regardless of

any time remaining on the timer.

FEATURES

GETTING STARTED

TO FILL AND CONNECT TO POWER SOURCE

1. Remove the porcelain cover and the plastic cover from the unit.

2. Plug the power adaptor into the DC socket.

3. Place the unit on a stable and level surface.

4. Pour a maximum of 150ml of room temperature tap water into the water tank.

5. Add a few drops of essential oil into the water tank as illustrated.

6. Put the plastic cover and porcelain cover back on the unit.

7. Connect the power adaptor to the mains power supply.

8. Press the POWER button on the remote control to turn on the unit.

NOTE

• Do not use distilled water.

• Do not use water over 40 °C.

• Use water soluble essential oils only.

• Switch off and unplug the unit from the mains before moving or cleaning the unit.

• Do not overfill the water tank. Always keep the unit body dry.

• Do not turn the unit upside down without removing the porcelain cover, plastic cover and liquid

content from the water tank.

TO EMPTY THE WATER TANK

1. Press the POWER button on the remote control to turn off the unit. Unplug from the mains.

2. Remove the porcelain cover and plastic cover from the unit.

3. Pour out the water from the tank.

4. Put the covers back on the unit when finished.

NOTE

• Do not pour water through the diffuser outlet.

• If water spills onto the unit body, the power cable or the power plug, immediately wipe with a

soft lint-free cloth to remove all moisture.

USING THE AROMA DIFFUSER

DIFFUSION

• Press the DIFFUSE button repeatedly to select the desired dispersal mode.

• The order of setting choices is high, low, and off.

• When there is insufficient water, the blue LED indicator will flash until the water tank is filled. You

should turn off the unit by press the POWER button , refill the water tank and then turn on

the unit and select the diffusion function again.

• When the two orange LEDs flash simultaneously, please contact your local customer service.

NOTE

• Do not direct the aromatic mist towards furniture or electrical appliances.

LIGHTING SETTINGS

• Press the LIGHTING button repeatedly to select the desired lighting mode.

• The order of setting choices is on, candle light effect and off.

SLEEP TIMER SETTINGS

• Press the SLEEP TIMER button repeatedly to toggle timer settings or to turn off the timer.

• The order of setting choices is 60 minutes, 120 minutes, and off.

• When the 60 minute timer is selected, one orange indicator light will turn on and the countdown

will start. When the 120 minute timer is selected, two orange indicators light will turn on and the

countdown will start.

NOTE

• The unit will switch off when the timer ends. Press the POWER button again to turn on the

unit and select functions.

SOUND SETTINGS

• Press the SOUND button repeatedly to toggle between different sounds.

• The order of setting choices is #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, and off.

VOLUME SETTINGS

• Press the VOLUME button repeatedly to adjust the sound volume.

• The order of setting choices is low, medium and high.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

• Always unplug the unit before cleaning.

• To avoid electric shock and/or fire hazard, do not immerse the unit or the power dock in liquid

or allow detergent enter the unit.

• Clean the unit regularly with a dry soft cloth to prevent dust accumulation.

• Clean the diffusing plate regularly.

• Do not let water, detergent or any other liquid enter the fan opening.

• Pour out remaining water before storing or transporting the unit.
