Intended use
The metal cutting saw is powerful enough to cut steel sheet metal as thick as ¼” (6mm). Metal cutting
saws are designed to rapidly cut lengths or pieces of zinc coated, steel sheet metal and various
metals without heating up either the blade or the material.

SAVE ALL WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS
FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
1) WORK AREA SAFETY
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause
you to lose control.
2) ELECTRICAL SAFETY
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use

any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching
outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed (grounded) surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges
and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or
grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase
the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power
tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use.
Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a ground fault circuit interrupter
(GFI) protected supply. Use of GFI reduces the risk of electric shock.
3) PERSONAL SAFETY
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power
tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol
or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious
personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment
such as dust mask, nonskid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate
conditions will reduce personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off position before connecting
to power source and/ or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools
with your finger on the switch or energizing power tools that have the switch on invites
accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key
left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control
of the power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and
gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in moving
parts.
g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities,
ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce
dust-related hazards.
4) POWER TOOL USE AND CARE
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct
power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that
cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the tool before

making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar
with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are
dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of
parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged,
have the power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained
power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting
edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits, etc. in accordance with these instructions,
taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the
power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
h) Caution! The dust collect cover is very hot when cutting or after cutting.
Don’t touch it by hand!!
5) SERVICE
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
Safety Instructions for Saw
DANGER:
a) Keep hands away from cutting area and the blade. Keep your second hand on auxiliary
handle. If both hands are holding the saw, they cannot be cut by the blade.
b) Do not reach underneath the workpiece. The guard cannot protect you from the blade below
the workpiece.
c) Adjust the cutting depth to the thickness of the workpiece. Less than a full tooth of the
blade teeth should be visible below the workpiece.
d) Never hold piece being cut in your hands or across your leg. Secure the workpiece to a
stable platform. It is important to support the work properly to minimize body exposure, blade
binding, or loss of control.
e) Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the
cutting tool may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Contact with a "live" wire will also
make exposed metal parts of the power tool "live" and shock the operator.
f) When ripping always use a rip fence or straight edge guide. This improves the accuracy of
cut and reduces the chance of blade binding.
g) Always use blades with correct size and shape (diamond versus round) of arbor holes.
Blades that do not match the mounting hardware of the saw will run ineffectively, causing loss
of control.
h) Never use damaged or incorrect blade washers or bolt. The blade washers and bolt were
specially designed for your saw, for optimum performance and safety of operation.

Causes and Operator Prevention of Kickback:
Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched, bound or misaligned saw blade, causing an
uncontrolled saw to lift up and out of the workpiece toward the operator.
When the blade is pinched or bound tightly by the cut closing down, the blade stalls and the motor
reaction drives the unit rapidly back toward the operator.
If the blade becomes twisted or misaligned in the cut, the teeth at the back edge of the blade can
dig into the top surface of the metal, causing the blade to climb out of the cut and jump back
toward the operator.
Kickback is the result of saw misuse and/or incorrect operating procedures or conditions and can be
avoided by taking proper precautions as given below:
a) Maintain a firm grip with both hands on the saw and position your arms to resist
kickback forces. Position your body to either side of the blade, but not in line with the
blade. Kickback could cause the saw to jump backwards, but kickback forces can be controlled
by the operator if proper precautions are taken.
b) When blade is binding or when interrupting a cut for any reason, release the trigger and
hold the saw motionless in the material until the blade comes to a complete stop. Never
attempt to remove the saw from the work or pull the saw backward while the blade is in
motion or kickback may occur. Investigate and take corrective actions to eliminate the cause
of blade binding.
c) When restarting a saw in the workpiece, center the saw blade in the cut and check that
saw teeth are not engaged into the material. If saw blade is binding, it may walk up or
kickback from the workpiece as the saw is restarted.
d) Support large panels to minimize the risk of blade pinching and kickback. Large panels
tend to sag under their own weight. Supports must be placed under the panel on both sides
near the line of cut and near the edge of the panel.
e) Do not use dull or damaged blades. Unsharpened or improperly set blades produce narrow
cut causing excessive friction, blade binding and kickback.
f) Blade depth and bevel adjusting locking levers must be tight and secure before making
cut. If blade adjustment shifts while cutting, it may cause binding and kickback.
g) Use extra caution when making “plunge cuts” into existing walls or other blind areas.
The protruding blade may cut objects that can cause kickback.
Lower Guard Safety Instructions
a) Check lower guard for proper closing before each use. Do not operate the saw if lower
guard does not move freely and closes instantly. Never clamp or tie the lower guard into
the open position. If saw is accidentally dropped, lower guard may be bent. Raise the lower
guard with the retracting handle and make sure it moves freely and does not touch the blade or
any other part in all angles and depths of cut.
b) Check the operation of the lower guard spring. If the guard and the spring are not
operating properly, they must be serviced before use. Lower guard may operate sluggishly
due to damaged parts, gummy deposits, or a build-up of debris.

c) Lower guard manually only for special cuts such as “plunge cuts” and “compound cuts.”
Raise lower guard by retracting handle as soon as blade enters the material, the lowerguard
must be released. For all other sawing, the lower guard should operate automatically.
d) Always observe that the lower guard is covering the blade before placing saw down on
bench or floor. An unprotected coasting blade will cause the saw to walk backwards cutting
whatever is in its path. Be aware of the time it takes for the blade to stop after switch is
released.
Additional Safety Instructions
Use clamps or another practical way to secure and support the workpiece to a stable platform.
Holding the work by hand or against your body leaves it unstable and may lead to loss of control.
Keep your body positioned to either side of the blade, but not in line with the saw blade.
KICKBACK could cause the saw to jump backwards (see Causes and Operator Prevention of
KICKBACK).
Avoid cutting nails. Inspect and remove all nails from lumber before cutting.
Always make sure nothing interferes with the movement of the lower blade guard.
Accessories must be rated for at least the speed recommended on the tool warning label. Wheels
and other accessories running over rated speed can fly apart and injure. Accessory ratings must
always be above tool speed as shown on tool nameplate.
Always make sure the saw is clean before using.
Stop using this saw and have it properly serviced if any unusual noise or abnormal operation
occcurs.
Always be sure all components are mounted properly and securely before using tool.
Always handle the saw blade with care when mounting or removing it or when removing the
diamond knockout.
Always wait until the motor has reached full speed before starting a cut.
Always keep handles dry, clean and free of oil and grease. Hold the tool firmly with both hands
when in use.
Always be alert at all times, especially during repetitive monotonous operations. Always be sure
of position of your hands relative to the blade.
Stay clear of end pieces that may fall after cutting off. They may be hot, sharp and/or heavy.
Serious personal injury may result.
Replace or repair damaged cords. Make sure your extension cord is in good condition. Use only
3-wire extension cords that have 3-prong grounding-type plugs and 3-pole receptacles that
accept the tools plug.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES OF
METAL CUTTING SAW
CAREFULLY READ THE FOLLOWING SAFETY WARNINGS PRIOR TO CONNECTING THE
METAL CUTTING SAW TO POWER.
1. Must keep the safety cover in the fixed position, never wedging or binding the safety cover. Before
using the metal cutting saw, please ensure the safety cover moves freely and closes instantly.
Don’t force the operation.
Caution: If the saw is accidentally dropped, the cover could be damaged.
2. The blade should be kept clean and sharp. Breakdown and rebound can be lowered to the
minimum limitation with the blade sharp.
3. Danger: The hand must depart from the sawing area when tool works. Don’t touch the blade when
blade is rotating, and don’t put the workpiece in. Don’t take the process-workpiece sawed by hand
when blade is still rotating.
Caution: The blade will rotate a period of time after turning off the switch.
4. Adjustment. Before sawing, ascertain the adjustment of saw depth is right.
5. Must select the right blade. Use the suitable saw blade within the range shown on nameplate.
6. Guide cord should be apart from sawing place and be fixed when sawing, and ensure it can not be
twined by work-piece when sawing. The tool must be held steadily when sawing, and use the
appropriate work-piece to support, and put the guide cord far away from the work-piece.
7. Do not use cutting oil while cutting.
8. Do not use blades which are deformed or cracked.
9. Always use safety glasses. Everyday eyeglasses only have impact resistant lenses; they are not
safety glasses.
10. To avoid possible hearing damage, wear ear plugs when using power tool.

A separate electrical circuit should be used for your tools. This circuit should not be less #12 wire and

should be protected with a 20 Amp fuse. Have a certified electrician replace or repair a worn cord
immediately and connectthe motor as nameplate mentions. Running low voltage will damage the
motor.
WARNING: DO NOT EXPOSE THE TOOL TO RAIN OR OPERATE IN DAMP CONDITIONS.
ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENT INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING:
For your own safety, never connect the plug to a power source outlet until all assembly steps are
complete and you have read and understood the safety and operating instructions. The safety
cover is attached to the saw for your protection. Should the safety cover become damaged, do not
use the saw until damaged cover has been replaced. If the safety cover becomes dirty, or chip
adheres to it, clean the safety cover carefully with a damp cloth.
Installing a new saw blade
WARNING: To prevent an accident or personal injury, always turn off the trigger switch and
disconnect the power plug from the receptacle before removing or installing a blade. Only use
blades designed for metal cutting saws. The use of any abrasive wheels, alternative purpose
wheels or different size blades could void the warranty. Check regularly that the blade is flat, sharp
and free of any defect or damage. Ensure the saw is disconnected from power.
1. Change blade: Loosen the lock bolt counterclockwise
(A) then take off chip shield assembly. Refer to Fig.1
2. Take out HEX wrench (A)
The size for HEX wrench is M6 (B). Refer to Fig.2

3. Push down the safety lever to lock the motor shaft.
4. Use the HEX wrench to loosen the shaft screw
(counterclockwise) then remove the shaft screw and
flange. Refer to Fig.3
5. Open the blade guard (A), ensure inner flange is installed,
install blade and check for proper rotation (B). Refer to
Fig.4

6. Place outer flange and bolt through center blade hole
and use hex wrench to tighten (B) while pushing safety
lock lever to lock motor shaft (A). Refer to Fig.5
Usage for bevel
1. Loosen the locking handle (A), move the base along
the angle plate from 0 to 45 (B) (or the degree that
you want), then tighten the locking handle. Refer to Fig.6

LASER
The usage of laser
1. When the saw is plugged in, turn on the laser switch.
Laser is displayed as (B) in Fig.7. The laser is a cutting guide
only.
2. Laser indication is set according to the saws angle degree.
It asists in cutting the angle.
For example:
Saws angle indicates at 0 and laser will be 0 (B),
Saws angle indicates at 45 (C) Laser will be 45 (D)

ALIGNING THE LASER GUIDE LINE
DANGER:Laser radiation. Avoid direct eye contact with light source.
WARNING: Use of controls, adjustments, or performance of procedures other than those specified,
may result in hazardous radiation exposures. When you adjust the laser, do not turn on the switch.

1. 0line adjustment is done by tightenening and loosening of HEX screw on laser with
M2 HEX wrench (A) as Fig.10. This adjustment moves the laser side to side.

CUTTING DEPTH ADJUSTMENT
1. Pull up & loosen the lock lever (A) first. Refer to Fig.13
2. Lift the back of the saw away from the baseplate
until the approximate depth is achieved.
3. Ensure the lock lever (A) Fig.14 is tightened securely
after the depth adjustment is made.
3.1 To adjust the lock and unlock positions (if necessary),
simply pull the lever towards the hand-grip of the saw
and rotate it slightly as required.
Warning:Cutting with a loose lock lever causes injury.
OPERATION
Operation of Switch
Press the stop button (A) first and pull the
trigger (B) at the same time to turn on saw.
To turn off saw, release trigger. Refer to Fig.15

Operation
Use right hand to hold the trigger handle (A), and
left hand to hold the front handle (B). When the blade
reaches the maximum speed rate, push the saw forward
along the surface of workpiece. Keep the saw moving
smoothly until the cut is finished. Refer to Fig.16
DIRECTION OF SAWING
Align saw blade to the right of the operator.
THE GUIDE RULER
The guide ruler can be used to cut a straight sawing line
along the workpiece and can be affixed at the front of
base with wing nut. The guide ruler (A) can be used on
the right side of the blade only, shown Fig.17. Using the
guide provides accurate cuts compared to free-hand
cutting. Locate the guide into the mounting slots at the
front of the baseplate and tighten the wing screw to lock
it at the desired cut width.
SIGHTING NOTCH FOR FREE-HAND CUTTING
Sighting notchtes (A) near the front of the baseplate provides guidance. When performing
free-hand cutting (at 90 degrees) the cutting line for the saw blade can be observed through a
u-shaped sighted notch at the front of the base plate.
Align the cutting line on the workpiece with the v-shaped
sighting notch at the front of the base plate when
cutting at 45 degree angle. (This is due to the placement
of the pivot point).
Turn saw on before contacting workpiece, wait until the
blade reaches full RPM before proceeding with cut. Apply
even pressure all of the way through cut to ensure proper
blade operation and to obtain smoother cutting.

Beware:Beware of the kickback at the instant the running blade touches the workpiece.
CHIP REMOVAL
GLASS WINDOW
The chips can be observed through a glass window. When the chip shield area is half full, remove
the cover by loosening the two bolts and empty the contents. Make sure the chips have been
removed completely.
Way to clean the cutting chips
1. Unscrew the two bolts (A) on the blade housing. Refer to Fig.19
2. Remove chip shield (B). (keeping the bolts screwed on guard.) Refer to Fig.20
3. Remove the chips.
Beware: Always keep the saw away from your body when removing the chip shield, the chips will
fall out. The chips could be very hot, be careful not to touch them when you remove the chip
shield.
REPLACING CARBON BRUSHES
Caution: Turn off the switch and disconnect plug from power supply before checking.
REPLACE CARBON BRUSHES
Check brushes regularly, if worn down to 1/4” (6mm), replace
brushes. Carbon brushes should be clean and slide freely in
holder. Carbon brushes should be replaced in pairs. Use a
flat blade screwdriver to remove the brush cap (A), take out
the worn carbon brush (B) insert new carbon brush and
secure the brush holder cap. Refer to Fig.21

MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING
Disconnect tool from power supply before carrying out any servicing and maintenance. Keep the
machine clean. Never use a saw blade that is damaged or distorted. Replace the saw blade when it
becomes dull. For service and replacement pieces see the replacement parts list and manufacturer
website. Inspect the safety cover to assure that it is in good condition and moves smoothly. Never use
the tool unless the safety cover operates properly and it is in good operating condition. After operation
of the tool has been completed, make sure power plug has been disconnected from the receptacle
and store it in a secure place out of the reach of children. Periodically remove chips in the chip cover
and dust from the surface of the power tool with a damp cloth. Keep the tool from contact with water or
oil.
