Asus R700

Asus R700 is a portable navigation device with a microSD card slot that allows you to use additional map data. You can use the device to navigate using the map in the microSD card.

To use the navigation map, insert the microSD card into the microSD card slot on the left side of the device. You can insert the microSD card when the device is in sleep mode or is switched off.

If you insert the microSD card when the device is in sleep mode, press the Sleep Mode Button and wait for a few seconds until the main menu appears, then tap Navigation to proceed. If you insert the microSD card when the device is switched off, switch the power ON to turn on the device, then tap Navigation after the main menu appears.

1. Insert the microSD card into the microSD
card slot ( ) on top of the device when the
device is either turned off or in sleep mode.
2. Switch the power ON ( ) to turn on the
device, or press the sleep mode button ( )
to wake up the device.
3. From the main screen, tap Navigation and
follow the screen instructions.

Note
If you turn on or wake up the device without inserting the microSD card into the microSD card slot, when tap Navigation
from the main screen, a warring message appears: “Operation failed! Insert the SD card or remove USB and try
again”. You may insert the microSD card and try again.

1. Insert the microSD card into the adapter.
2. Insert the adapter with the microSD card into the SD card
slot ( ) on the right side of the device when the device is
switched off or when the device is in sleep mode.
3. Switch the power ON ( ) to turn on the device, or press the
sleep mode button ( ) to wake up the device.
4. From the main screen, tap Navigation and follow the screen
instructions.

Note
If you turn on or wake up the device without inserting the
microSD card into the card slot, when tap Navigation
from the main menu, a “Map initialisation error” message
appears: couldn’t nd any map les!. Follow step 1 to
insert the microSD card into the card slot, tap OK from the
error message to go back to the main menu, and then tap
Navigation.

2. From the main menu, tap Navigation to navigate using the map in the microSD card.
Note
If you insert the microSD card when the device is in sleep
mode, press the Sleep Mode Button ( ) and wait for
a few seconds until the main menu appears, then tap
Navigation to proceed.
If you insert the microSD card when the device is switched
off, switch the power ON ( ) to turn on the device, then
tap Navigation after the main menu appears.
