WARNING
If you have an implanted medical device such as a pa-
cemaker, check with your physician before using the
heart rate monitor.
If you have heart problems, or if you are over 60 years
of age and have been inactive, do not use pulse-driven
programs.
If you are taking medication regularly, consult your phy-
sician to find whether the medication will affect your
exercise heart rate.
If the handrails on your treadmill look exactly like the handrails shown at the right,
it is not necessary to install the included receiver. If your treadmill has round or
square handrails, the receiver must be installed before the heart rate monitor can
be used. If your treadmill has
round
handrails, follow steps 1 through 5 below;
if your treadmill has
square
handrails, follow steps A through E on page 2.

Guasti del Monitor Della Frequenza Cardiaca
If the heart rate monitor does not function properly,
alto. Nota: Se il monitor della frequenza cardiaca
non funziona dopo averlo posizionato come descritto
sopra, provate a muoverlo leggermente più in alto o
più in basso sul vostro torace.
Make sure that the logo on the sensor unit is facing
forward and is right-side-up.
Each time you use the heart rate monitor, usare una
braccia.
If your treadmill has round handrails, make sure that
the left endcap is rotated to the proper position (see
step 5 on the front of this guide).
dizioni medicine come premature contrazioni ventri-
If the heart rate monitor still does not function pro-
perly, test the heart rate monitor in the following way:
Hold the heart rate monitor and place your thumbs
over the electrode areas as shown on page 2. Next,
hold the heart rate monitor near the console. While
holding one thumb stationary, begin tapping the
other thumb against the electrode area at a rate of
one tap per second. Check the heart rate reading on
the console.
If the heart rate monitor does not function properly
after you have followed all of the above instructions,
the battery should be replaced in the following way:
Localizzare il coper-
chio pila sul retro del-
l'unità sensore.
Inserire una moneta
nella scanalatura del
coperchio,girare il
coperchio in senso
antiorario, e rimuo-
vere il coperchio.
Togliere la vecchia
pila ed inserire una
nuova pila CR 2032.
Controllare che la
pila sia girata in
modo che la parte
scritta sia verso
l'alto. Rimettere il
coperchio e girarlo in
senso orario to
close it.
Cura del Monitor della Frequenza Cardiaca
DAsciugare completamente il monitor della fre-
quenza cardiaca dopo ogni uso.
ramente.
luce diretta del sole per un lungo periodo di tempo;

Follow the
steps below to put on the heart rate monitor.
If the chest strap is attached to the sensor unit, go
to step 2. If the chest strap is not attached, insert
one end of the chest strap into one end of the sen-
sor unit. Inserire l'estremità dell'unità sensore
sotto la fibbia sulla fascia torace.
Wrap the sensor unit and the chest strap around
your chest. Attach the free end of the chest strap
to the sensor unit. Regolare la lunghezza della fa-
scia torace, se ne-
cessario. Il monitor
della frequenza
cardiaca dovrebbe
essere indossato
sotto i vestiti, a
parte destra in alto.
Allontanare l'unità
sensore di pochi
centimetri dal vo-
stro corpo e collo-
care le due aree
elettrodo. Le aree
elettrodo sono le
aree coperte da
leggere sporgenze.
