IMPORTANT

1. To protect your hearing, lower the volume on your car stereo before

installing iCarPlay.

2. Car cassette players vary in design. BEFORE inserting iCarPlay’s cassette

unit, the cable running from the iCarPlay cassette may need to be adjusted

to correctly extend from your car’s cassette player.

iCarPlay Set Up

1. If cable is not properly positioned for your cassette player, lift the tab on the

top right corner of the cassette unit, raising the arm.

2. There are four notches on the iCarPlay to adjust for diﬀerent cable positions,

depending on your car’s cassette player. Move the cable to the cassette unit

edge that will face OUT of your cassette player when inserted.

3. Close iCarPlay’s arm to its original position.

4. Turn your car audio system on and set the volume to low.

5. Insert the iCarPlay cassette into your car’s tape player, being sure the cable

exits the player door from the edge of the cassette unit that will be facing

out of your cassette player.

6. Insert the 1/8 inch audio plug into your iPod, iPhone, or other portable

music player’s headphone jack.

Press PLAY on your car’s cassette player if it did not start playing

automatically when the cassette was inserted.

7. Turn your music player on, select the song/playlist and press PLAY.

8. Increase the volume slightly on your car stereo and adjust the volume on

your portable player.

IMPORTANT: For the best audio performance, volume levels on your player and your car’s audio system

should be roughly the same. Disproportionate volume levels can cause audio distortion and buzz.

Troubleshooting

Some car stereo tape players with auto-reverse will automatically switch

playback direction when the iCarPlay is inserted. If no sound plays, simply push

the auto reverse button on your car stereo, and playback should begin.
