USER MANUAL
1. Description of the device
The device is constructed in a solid metal frame with a specially designed coating against chemical
corrosion and mechanical.
LED lighting provides a nice not blinding backlight that can illuminate the samples. It is controlled by a
switch on the control panel.
Shafts and paddles are stainless steel made and are adjustable in height with self-locking device.
The speed of rotation and the timer are programmable via the digital control panel. The speed is
adjustable from 10 to 400 rpm (in steps of 1 rpm). The timer is adjustable from 10 to 3600 sec (in
steps of 1s).
2. Delivery contents
1 jar test flocculator
1 AC Adapter
1 User Manual
3. Assembly and Installation
Install the unit in a stable position.
Connect the jar test with the power cord.
The control panel is lit, the unit is ready to be programmed.

Key 2 Programming of the flocculator, data validation
Key 3 & 4 Adjustment of the speed / timer
Key 5 Start / pause / resume the program
Pressurized water drain button Pressurized water injection knobs
5. Preparation of pressurized water
Place the device at the edge of the work table to allow the beaker holder to hang.
Connect the appliance to an electrical outlet using the supplied cord.
Connect the compressed air to the rear of the unit. Place the compressor on the ground to avoid
Vibrations which could disrupt the formation of the Floc.
Stir the agitators thoroughly by pulling the handle at the end.
Screw the flotation cells. Be careful not to tighten too tightly so as not to damage the joints.
Check that all valves are in the closed position.
Remove the cap from the can and introduce 3 liters of clarified and non-clogged water of the same kind as
the water to be tested. Close with tight fit.
Open the compressed air circuit or start the compressor.
Allow the pressure to exceed the free exhaust point and adjust the exhaust using the adjustment on the
bottle cap so as to have a pressure around 6 bar. (Be careful not to exceeding 7 bar).
This pressure can be modified depending on the tests to be carried out wait 15 minutes under these
conditions before starting the tests.
After elapsed pressurization time, admit to each cell approximately 30 ml of pressurized water in
Actuating very briefly the buttons to the right of each of the vases.
For the rest, always remain in free escape.

The device allows you to program a speed and a stirring time for the two stages of the coagulation /
Flocculation.
A/ Programming of a coagulation / flocculation cycle
Key 2 Setting the two programs the rotation speed for coagulation blinks
Key 3 & 4 Adjusting the speed & stirring time
Key 2 Save the programming
B/ Starting the program
Key 5 Run / pause / restart the program
Key 3 or 4 if the program is paused, moves to the flocculation step
If the unit is turned off, the last programming is retained in memory.
7. Test procedure
Pour into each cell the desired amount of water to be tested (max 1L). Lower the stirring rods.
Inject the desired quantity of coagulant reagent.
Inject coagulant reagent. Press the 5 key to start the coagulation step.
When the coagulation step is complete, the Flottatest beeps.
Press the 5 key to stop the beep.
Inject the flocculent reagent. Press the 5 key to start the flocculation step.
When the flocculation step is completed, the Flottatest beeps.
Press the 5 key to stop the beep.
Fully and slowly raise the agitators by pulling the handle upwards so as not to break the flocs formed.
Admit 100 to 300 ml of pressurized water into each cell by pressing the buttons to the right of each of
the vases.
Wait for the flocs to fully rise to the surface before removing, using the taps,
A clarified water sample for analysis.
At the end of the tests, connect the supplied hose to the drain hose. Direct the end of the hose to a
(Bucket or sink) and then press the button above the drain connection.
Always maintain an exhaust air outlet to prevent overpressure.
Never exceed 7 bar.
