Operating Instructions for Application Linking Function
This supplement provides information on how to start and set up Pexip (Video Meeting Application) that links to
RICOH Interactive Whiteboard Controller Type 2.
UCS Advanced (Pexip)
Pexip is a special application that allows you to use UCS Advanced. For details about how to install Pexip, see
the Pexip setup guide.
Starting/Ending Pexip

, the Application Linking Function icon, on the whiteboard screen.
Touch [RICOH UCS Advanced] on the submenu that appears.

Pexip starts.

Touch [Close] on the submenu that appears.

Precautions When Using Pexip
To use Pexip, specify the items in App settings as follows:

Leave the app running in notifi cation area when the window is closed: OFF

Start when I log into my computer: OFF
●
Note the following before updating Pexip to the newest version:

If you cancel an update while updating is in progress, you must redo the procedure starting from downloading the
●
installer. Also, you might be required to set up Pexip again, depending on the timing that the update was can-
celled.
Do not change the destination folder from "C:\Tools\My Meeting Video\".

Clear the check from "Launch Pexip (My Meeting Video)" on the screen for fi nishing setup. If you fi nish setup while
●
"Launch Pexip (My Meeting Video)" is selected, the application linking function does not work correctly.
If you fi nish setup while “Launch Pexip (My Meeting Video)” is selected, end Pexip by touching [Close] on the
sub-panel displayed by touching , the Application Linking Function icon. If you cannot end Pexip by touching
[Close], touch , the menu icon, and then touch [Quit].
Depending on the settings, the position in which , Application Linking Function icon, appears varies.
