Assembleandoperatethetreadmillonasolid,levelsurface.Keepthearea
behindthetreadmillclear.
Neverallowchildrenonornearthetreadmill.Therunningbeltwillnotstop
immediatelyifanyobjectbecomescaughtinthebeltorrollers.
Checkthetreadmillbeforeeveryuse.Makesureallpartsareassembled
correctly,andallnutsandboltsaretightened.Donotusethetreadmilliftheunit
isdisassembledinanyway.
Keephandsawayfrommovingparts.
Theweightlimitforthistreadmillis220lbs.(100kgs).
Wearproperworkoutclothing:Donotwearlooseclothing.Donotwearshoes

Turnoffthetreadmillwhileadjustingorworkingneartheroller.

Stepbystepinstructions
Thefollowingstepsexplainhowtoassembleyourtreadmill.Pleasereadeverystep
thoroughlyandfollowthedirectionscompletelytoensurecorrectassembly.
1.ThereareimportantpartsenclosedinsideoftheStyrofoam,pleasecheckthe
Styrofoamcompartmentsbeforediscarding.Makesureallpackingmaterialsare
removedfromthetreadmilldeck.
2.Laythetreadmillonitsside.Makesuretherunningbeltispositionedinthetracks
ofthetwoBELTALIGNMENTGUIDESontheundersideofthemachine(seeFig.
1).
3.Then,placethetreadmillonalevel,flatsurface.
4.Liftthetwopoststotheiruprightposition.UsetheT-handlehexwrenchprovided
totightenthefour5/16"x3/4"screwsand5/16"washerssecurely.Next,tighten
theboltsontheinsideofbothpostssecurely,usingthehexAllenwrench
provided.(seeFig.2)

Pleasenot:ThescrewstotheLiftpost(Fig.2)arespecificallyprovidedby
manufacturer.Donotattempttosubstituteanyotherscrews.Any
questions,pleasecontactyourdealer.
5.Slidethehandlebarintotheelectronicsdisplay.Firstlyattachtwo1/4"x3/4"bolts,
two1/4"flatwashers,andtwo1/4"springwashersontoonesideofthe
handlebar.Don'tyettightenatthismoment.Thenrepeatthesameactiontothe
othersideofhandlebar.Lastlytightenbothsidescompletelyandsecurely.(see
Fig.3)

6.Iftheunitwithhandrails,attachthebottomofthehandrailstothetreadmillframe
andsecurewithtwoboltsoneachside(seeFig.4).Then,tightentheupper
handrailboltssecurely.
Ifthetreadmillisnotsteadyonyourfloor,turnthefloorleveladjustmentontherear
feetlegofthetreadmill.Raiseorlowerthefloorleveladjustmenttosteadyyour
treadmill(seeFig.5).

OPERATINGINSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION:
Safetykey
DONOTSTANDONTHEBELTWHENSTARTING.
Thesafetykeyisrequiredtooperatethetreadmill.Thesafetykeyshouldbeusedas
anemergencystopbyclippingthecordtoyourexerciseclothing.Besuretoremove
thesafetykeyfromyourexerciseclothingafteryouhavefinishedyourworkout,and
placeittothekeypositionforyourconvenienceorstoreinasafeplace
toavoidusebychildrenorpersonsunfamiliarwiththistreadmill.
Turnonthepowerswitchlocatedonthefrontofthetreadmill.Placethesafetykey
intothe"SAFETYKEY"positionontheelectronicspackageinordertofunctionthe
unit.(SeeFig.6)

UNDERSTANDINGTHEELECTRONICSPACKAGE
Keyfunctions:
SAFETYKEY:TurnonthePOWERswitchlocatedonthefrontofthemachine.Put
thesafetykeyonthe"SAFETYKEY"positionoftheelectronics
packagetooperatethetreadmill.
:Afteryourworkout,placethesafetykeyonpositionforyour
convenience.Thenturningthepowerswitchoff.
SPEED:Usethespeedkeystoadjustyourdesiredspeed.Thespeed
rangeisfrom0.5-9MPH(0.8-14.5KPH).Pressthespeedkeyto
increasethespeedandpressthespeedkeytodecreasethespeed.
INCLINE:UsetheINCLINEkeystoraiseorlowerthetreadmill.The
inclinerangeisfrom0%-10%.
MODE:Whenyouplacethesafetykeyinitsplace,theelectronicspackagewill
automaticallyaccessintoMODEfunction.Pressthemodekey,andthiswill
scrollyouthroughthedifferentmodes.WitheachpressoftheMODEkey,
thedisplaywillalternatelyshowTIME,DIST(distance),CAL(calories),
SCANorPULSE.
Note:Ifyourtreadmillisn'tequippedwiththefeatureofheartrate,the
electronicsdisplaywillnotscrollPULSEmessageonMODEfunction.
MODEkeys:ThesekeysareusedtochoosethedesiredTIMEorDISTANCE.
STOP:WhenyoupresstheStop/Resetbutton,andthetreadmillwillslowly
comestoastop.
Pressthe Stop/Resetbuttononceagain,allinformationondisplay
windowswillbecleared.
PROGRAM:The1190featuresatotaloftwo(2)professionallydesignedworkout
programs.Theprogramscontroltheelevation,whileyoucontrolthe
speedofyourworkout.Duringtheworkoutyoucanchangethespeed
ofthetreadmill,butyouareunabletochangetheelevationpercentage.
PressthePROGRAMkeytoscrollthroughtwoprograms.TheP1-P2willbe
displayedintheinclineLEDwindow,whenyouhavechosentheprogramyouwant,
presstheMODEkeytoselecttheTIMEorDISTanddeterminehowlongorhowfar
youwouldliketorun.UsetheMODEkeystoinputyourdesiredTIMEorDIST
(chooseeitheroneofthem,notboth),thenpresstheSPEEDkeystobegin.

Duringtheseprograms,youcancontrolthespeed,andtheunitwillautomatically
switchtheelevationpercentages,givingyouthefeelingofrunningonhillsandlevel

ThecourseprofileforeachPROGRAMisasfollows:
TIME:TherangeavailableinTIMEmodeis00:00-99:59minutes.UsetheMODE
keytoselectthetimemode.WhenTIMELEDislitinthedisplay,usethe
MODEkeystoadjustthedesiredtime.Eachpressofthekeychanges
thetimeby1minute.
TheelectronicspackagewillBEEPfor10secondswhenyourdesiredtimeis
reached,thenstarttocountupifyourworkoutcontinues.
DIST: Thedistanceofthetreadmillwillgoesfrom0-99.99milesor0-999.9
kilometers.UsetheMODEkeystoselecttheDISTmode.
WhenDISTLEDislitinthedisplay,usetheMODEkeystoadjustthe
desireddistance.Eachpressofthekeychangesthedistanceby0.1mileor
0.1km.
TheelectronicspackagewillBEEPfor2secondswhenyourdesireddistance
isreached,thenstarttocountupifyourworkoutcontinues.
CAL:Thisreadoutgivesyoutheamountofcaloriesburned,therangeofcaloriesis
from0-999.9CAL.
SCAN:TheSCANwillresultinthedisplayalternationbetweenModesreadouts
every4seconds.
PULSE:Ifyourelectronicpackageincludesthepulsefeature,useapulsemeterto
monitoryourheartrate.Thisreadoutmeasuresyourheartrateinbeats.
1.Plugthepulseconnectorintothepulsesocket.
2.PresstheMODEkeyuntilyoureachthepulsemode,andthepulseindicator
locatedontheelectronicspackageislit.
3.Rubyourearlobeorfingertip15timesbeforeclippingthesensortoitinorderto
getthebestresults.

RUNNINGONTHETREADMILL:
Now,youhavebecomeawareofoperatingyourtreadmillandarereadyto
exercise:
1.TurnthepowerswitchON,andplacethesafetykeyonthe"SAFETYKEY"
position.
2.Straddlethebeltwithyourfeetontherightandleftstagingplatforms.Clipthe
safetykeytoyourexerciseclothingatyourwaistline.
3.Onehandholdsonthehandrail,theotherhandadjuststheSPEEDkeysuntil
youreach1.5-2.0MPH/2.5-3.5KPHoracomfortablewalkingspeed.Bothhands
holdthehandrails,thentrytowalkontherunningbeltacoupleofminutesuntil
youfeelcomfortable.
4.Afteryouarewalkinginaneasy,relaxed,andsteadyfashion,releaseyourhands
awaythehandrails,andletyourarmsswingfreelyandnaturally.
5.Whenyoufeelcomfortablewalking,youmaybereadytojog.Pleaseputonehand
onthehandrailsagain,useyourotherhandtoincreasethespeed.
6.Remembertoholdthehandrailwhenyouwouldliketooperateelectronics
packageduringrunning.Holdingthehandrailwithonehandwillhelptomaintain
yourbalance,especiallywhenslowingdownorstopping.Also,remembertohold
onthehandrailwhendismounting.
7.Itisbesttodoacooldownbeforeyoubringthemachinecompletelystop.

GUIDELINESFOREXERCISE
HowlongshouldIexercise?
HowoftenshouldIexercise?
Thedurationofyourexercisesessionisdependentonyourfitnesslevel.Ingeneral,
itisrecommendedthatyoumaintainyourheartrateinthetrainingzoneforatleast
10minutestorealizeanaerobicbenefit.Asyourfitnesslevelincreases,youwillbe
abletomaintainyourheartrateinthetrainingzoneforlongerperiods,usually
between20and30minutes.
Whenfirststartingyourworkout,usethefirstseveralminutestowarmup,then
slowlyincreaseyourworkloadtobringyourheartrateintoyourspecifictraining
zone.Attheendofyourworkout,graduallydecreaseyourworkload,thenexercise
lightlyasa"cooldown".
Aerobicexercises,toachievethegreatestbenefits,shouldbeperformed3-5timesa
week.Itisimportanttoallowsufficienttime,atleast24hours,foryourbodyto
recoverafterexercise.

MAINTAININGYOURTREADMILL
Yourtreadmillreliesonlowfrictionforpeakperformance.Thetreadmill'slowfriction
operationdependsonkeepingtheunitascleanaspossible.See"Cleaningthe
Treadmill"formoreinformation.
Properbeltalignmentisalsoimportantforproperoperationofthetreadmill.See
"Adjustingtherunningbelt"formoreinformation.
TurnoffunitanddisconnectACcordbeforecleaning.
Regularcleaningisrecommendedtokeepyourtreadmillrunningatpeak
performance.
Beforeyourworkout,useadryclothtocleanthestagingplatform,exposedslider
deck,andunderthebeltasfarasyou easilyreach.Thisremovesanydirtordust
whichmightenterthesliderareaandcompromisetheunit'srunningefficiency.
Tocleantheplasticparts,useamilddetergentandmakesuretheunitis
completelydrybeforeoperating.Ontherunningsurface,useasoftnylonscrub
brush.Donotusewatertocleanthebeltorrunningsurface,ortocleanthe
electronicspackage.Ifyouneedwaterforsomereasontogetontheelectronics
package,immediatelyblowdrytheelectronicspackage.
Itisrecommendedthatyoukeepallliquidsawayfromtheunitduringoperation.
Spillageofliquidsontoorintothemachinewillvoidthewarranty.
Yourtreadmillcomeswithabeltalignmentgaugelocatedonthefrontedgeofthe
motorcover(seeFig.6).Theedgeoftherunningbeltshouldbeinthemiddleofthe
greenportionofthegauge.Ifthebeltedgeisinthegreenarea,thebeltdoesnot
needadjusting.Ifthebeltedgeisintheredportion,thebeltneedsadjusting
immediately.

Thebeltisproperlyalignedatthefactory.However,duringdeliveryandhandlingor
byuseonanunevensurface,thebeltmaymoveoffcenter.Therefore,itisimportant
thatyoucheckthebelt'salignmentbeforeusingthetreadmill.
Thecorrectalignmentoftherunningbeltiscriticalforthesmoothoperationofthe
treadmill.
DONOTALLOWANYONETOWALKONRUNNINGBELTDURING
THISPROCEDURE.
Failuretorealignthebeltcouldresultintearingorfrayingofthebelt,whichisnot
coveredinthewarranty.Pleasefollowtheadjustmentprocedurelistedbelow:
1.Turnonthepowerswitchlocated onthefrontofmachine.PlacetheSAFETYKEY
onthe"SAFETYKEY"position.
2.PresstheSPEEDkeytoincreasethespeeduntilthespeedregisters2.0mph/
3.2kphonthedigitaldisplay.
3.Whiletheunitisrunningat2mph/3.2kph,determinewherethebeltisinrelationto
thebeltalignmentgauge.
4.Shouldyourbeltbeinthewrongcolorrange,followthestepsbelowtoreturnthe
belttothe"safetyzone":
5.Ifthebeltisintheleftredzone:Turntheleftbeltadjustmentboltlocatedatthe
rearofthetreadmillclockwise1/4turnatatime,usingthehexAllenwrench.Then
turntherightbeltadjustmentboltcounterclockwise1/4turn.Letthetreadmillrun
30seconds,thencheckthepositionofthebeltinthecolorgauge.Ifthebeltstill
hasnotreturnedtothegreensafetyzone,repeatwithanother1/4turnuntilthe
belthasreturnedtothemiddleofthegreenarea.Donotturnadjustingboltmore
than1/4turnatatime.
Ifthebeltisontheedgeofthegreencolor,pleaseadjustitsoitisinthemiddleof
thegreencolor.Youmayturntheadjustmentnutlessthan1/4turnatatime.
6.Conversely,ifthebeltisintherightredzone,turntherightbeltadjustmentnut
clockwise1/4turn,thenturn theleftadjustmentboltcounterclockwise1/4turn.
Thenletthetreadmillrunatleast30seconds,checkthepositionofthebeltinthe
colorgauge.Ifitstillhasnotreturnedtothegreensafetyzone,repeatwith
another1/4turnuntilthebelthasreturntothemiddleofthegreenarea.Donot
turnadjustingboltmorethan1/4turnatatime.
7.Whenthebeltisbackinthegreen"safetyzone",youcancontinueyourregular
useofthetreadmill.Slowlyincreasethespeedoftheunitto5.5MPH(9KPH),
andletitrunforatleast45seconds.
CAUTION:

Periodicallymonitorthepositionofthebelttoensurepeakperformance:
Overtighteningofthebeltcausesdamageandprematurefailureofthe
precisionbearingsinthefrontandrearrollers.
Whenyouareusingthetreadmill,ifyoufeelapauseinthebeltwitheachfootplant,
thebeltistooloose.Stopthemachinetocheckthebelttension,pulltherunning
beltupinthemiddle(seeFig.9&9-1).Thereshouldbeabout30m/m(11/8")or3
kgsof"give"inthebelt(seeFig.9-2).Ifthereistoomuch,adjustbothrearroller
boltsclockwise1/2turnatatime(seeFig.9-3).Then,checkthebelttensionagain,
ifmoreadjustingisrequired,givebothadjustingboltsanotherslightturn.Donot
adjustover2fullturns.
Conversely,ifthereisnotenough"give",adjustbothrearrollerbolts
Counterclockwise1/2turnatatime.
Toavoidinjury,specialcaremustbetakenwhenadjustingtherunning
belt.Removeanylooseclothingorshoelacesandtiebackyourhair.Be
verycarefultokeepyourfingersoranyotherobjectsclearofthebelt
androllers.
Thetreadmillisdesignedtocarryspecificweightsatspecificspeeds.Thetreadmill
willnotstopimmediatelyifanobjectbecomescaughtinthebeltorrollers.

offthePOWERswitchonthefrontofthemachine.Allowtheunittorestfor5
seconds,thenturnonthepowerswitchtostartagain.Iftheelectronicspackage
displays"ERR"again,pleaserefertothefollowingsectionformoreinformationor

ERR1-Theopticalswitchmountedonthemotorisnotreceivingthesignal
reflectedfromthetachometerwheel.Pleasecontactyourdealer.

ERR 6-Theinclinesystemmaybegetdamagepleasecontactyourdealerto
replacethe0.5A(200-240V)or1A(100-120V)fuselocatedonthedrive
board,makesureyourareastandardvoltagepriortoreplacement.
ERR7-Onceyouturnonthemachine,thecomputerdisplayshowstheERR7.The
computerreceivingthesignalreflectedfromVRincorrectly,thatmeansthe
VRunitmaygetdamagedorthewirefromVRunittodriveboarddoesn't
connectwell.Pleasecontactyourdealerformoreinformation.
1.IfyouturnonthePOWERswitchandthereisnolight:
a.Checkifthepowercordispluggedsecurelyintothewallsocket.
b.Checkthatthepowerswitchonthefrontoftheunitisonthe"ON"position.The
powerswitchshouldbelit.
c.Ifthepowerswitchisnolight,replacethefuse.Pleaserefertopage16for
moreinformation.
d.Ifthereisstillnodisplayaftercompletingtheabovesteps,pleasecontactyour
dealerformoreinformation.
2.Thepowerswitchislit,butnowordsappearonthedisplay:
Ifthedisplayisnowords,thenthefuseonthedriverboardneedtoberplaced,
pleasecheckwithyourdealerforfurtherinformation.
Treadmillspeeddoesntmatchthesetting.Contactyourlocaldealerfor
assistance.
